Help Colloidal silver folks?

I'm a big fan of colloidal silver. I use a product with 20ppm and it's a fantastic mouth wash because it kills everything and quite frankly, I don't have to worry about turning blue. Anytime I get a little tooth ache, a few swishes of this stuff works wonders, almost as good as antibiotics.

Here's the thing, I've seen folks use silver rounds and electrodes to make their own solution but I am worried that I'd get that Smurf look after too long because it would put too much silver into solution? Has anyone ever figured how to make a solution with a very tiny amount in it?

The other issue is cost, my regular bottle jumped $10 in 6 months. Considering it's got a tiny amount in it I just can't handle the price gouge.

Mods I put this in Infectious Diseases because of the antibiotic nature of silver.

I’ve made my own for years. I drink about a quart a day. My dogs drink it and I add it to my chicken waterers. It goes in my husband’s coffee. I make a gallon at a time. I also have an electric water distiller so I don’t have to keep buying jugs.

Can I ask your set up?

Sure. I have this distiller bought on Amazon.

CO-Z 1 Gallon Water Distiller, 4L... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078GHJ921?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It distills 1 gallon at a time in a few hours.

I wipe it out after each use because we have a lot of minerals in our well water. I let it soak overnight in white vinegar about once a month.

I bought the 1 gallon CS brewer from the natural health library.

I use a 1 gallon glass jar to brew my CS then transfer it into a food safe plastic 2-1/2 gallon container with a spout from Walmart. It takes an hour to brew a gallon.

For the extra silver rods we bought a 5 foot coil and my husband cut them in 10 inch lengths with a small hook on one end to attach the alligator clips. It is thicker than the normal rods so lasts longer and was less money overall than the silver rods for the CS maker.

Of course silver has gone up so it’s more now than when we bought it.

Hope that helps.

A couple of years ago I was able to get several kits with three bottles (one spray, one dropper, and one plain) of colloidal silver at the in person store of one of the online auctions I was using on a regular basis. Got one heckuva deal., I also buy a colloidal silver gel for wounds and burns that is a higher concentration. It has helped several things that were not responding to conventional treatment.

DW and I make and use our own CS. I wish I had discovered this decades ago! It's great for wound care, minor sicknesses and illness prevention. I keep a nasal spray bottle of it on my desk.

For anyone worried about the increased cost of silver and the possible expense of making CS at home, I will observe that it's still extremely inexpensive. We're talking about silver in solution at the atomic level and the silver anodes and cathodes will basically last forever. Yes, I'm certainly aware that silver is now over $90 per ounce, but all you need is a couple of thin wires or strips of silver. You can buy it online or from a local jeweler and it will only be a small fraction of an ounce.

BTW, only use .999 or .9999 pure silver. Do NOT use US coin silver, as that has a 10% copper content. Copper is a poison and while you would only be ingesting a tiny amount of it by using coin silver, it's best to avoid it. I also know that some sources actually recommend using coin silver for different ailments that supposedly respond well to copper, but that's waaay outside of my level of expertise.

As a side note, I'll point out that heavy metals were once widely used to treat a variety of diseases. Mercury was formerly incorporated into many medicines, as were other metals. Different metals are effective at attacking various germs and viruses. Unfortunately, most heavy metals are also toxins. Silver is alone among the metals as being non toxic.

We make our own also. .9999 wires. I use it in a nebulizer 10ppm whenever I feel anything in the chest coming on. Seems to knock it right out. It does aggravate the sinuses a bit so don’t over do it. It don’t take much. I have read one study that 30 consecutive days of nebulizing silver solution can cause slight lung damage. Use with caution.

Just don't drink it by the gallons. We have a local lady every one calls the “Silver Surfer”
Yes she is a definite silver bluish color. Very very noticeable. Probably wont even decay any when she passes some day. Talk of the town is she never gets sick.
