Broke into some of my older preps. Opened up some Folgers instant from 2006 and it tastes exactly the same as Folgers instant from the last year. I’m sure there’s people who don’t care for Folgers instant but just wanted to let those that do like it that it apparently stores well. Gotta have coffee if I’m gonna be stuck inside with the wu flu out and about.

I don't have Folgers instant, but I do have other instant coffees. In an instant coffee I prefer Community New Orleans Blend, but it is not in a glass jar and does not hold up. I have instant coffee in glass jars from the Dollar Tree and another brand too. Instant is not my favorite but its a lot better than nothing. What else I have on hand are 5-48 oz canisters of Folgers and 5 23oz had packs of Community Coffee and Chicory, I mix them together. I'm good for a good year and a half plus on coffee.

those small jars of instant at the $1 stores are one of the best deals going >>> if you don't drink it all up yourself - a jar will be worth some serious barter in a SHTF + a year ...

we've kept 1/2 gallon vac sealed canning jars of real GROUND coffee very successfully for YEARS - we include 2 small O2 absorbers and store in cool dark fruit cellar - PUUURRRRFECTLY FINE

We roast our own coffee and have a stash of green coffee beans, which keep their flavor a long time.

I saw a funny tweet recently that asked the question: "If you had to choose between going without coffee or going without the internet for 24 hours, which would you choose?" I read through a couple hundred of the replies, no one picked going without coffee.
