Ummm... that's not an AK, nor is it an AK part.

It's an AR style safety selector....

Shipment was intercepted on May 22nd, before the summer of our discontent kicked off. In the back of my mind I always wondered if Chicom AK’s would show up in Seattle and Portland, or if Venezuelan arms would start showing up, since the trajectory of these groups seem to follow that of the Weather Underground. Auto seats for AR15’s is pretty genius, no matter how you slice it!

... and we wonder again why ammunition is drying up everywhere. I suspect it's not just the 'good guys' acquiring ammo to feed these beasts.

Well we know shipping destination why wasn’t there video of the whole tactical squad breaking in the door and flashbanging the place with perp walk????

It’s almost like all the freakin sudden your FBI just doesn’t seem to care.

Too busy trying to ‘create’ right wing extremists for the deep state I guess.

The report said that the parts were headed to Antifa. The over a month delay in finding them and the announcement is enough time to not only ID the destination but also do contact tracing on the receiving party. They announced it after they had their shit together.

Something else to remember is that the reason you can't get Chinese firearms in the US, but could in Canada, is that Norinco got caught in a sting by the FBI in the late 1980s trying to sell weapons, including MANPADS, to LA drug gangs.

So them shipping even parts to anti-government groups isn't an escalation of behavior, just a less ham handed action than past moves.

That begs the question of what the appropriate "reply" should be.....something to think on......

There was at least another seizure of AK's bound for antifa. That is all I can reveal at the moment. Not sure if it is press bound or not.

But it takes more than just a selector to make an AR go M ....

Not that I would know.....

Considering the quality of reporting we're subjected to, it probably all should be taken with a fast food packet worth of salt until more reports come out.

10,800 Assault Weapons Parts Seized by CBP in Louisville

Release Date:
June 26, 2020
LOUISVILLE, Ky—At the Express Consignment Operations hubs in Louisville U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers seized a shipment from China that contained over 10,000 Assault Weapons parts being smuggled into the country.
Firearm Seizure

The shipment was seized on May 22. Officers inspected the item, which was arriving from Shenzhen, China, destined for a residence in Melbourne, Florida. The parcel was manifested as containing 100 Steel Pin Samples. This is a common practice of smugglers manifesting the contraband as a harmless or a legitimate commodity in hopes of eluding further examination.
“The importing of any type of munitions is regulated by the ATF,” said Thomas Mahn, Port Director, Louisville. “This smuggler was knowingly trying to avoid detection, however, our officers remain vigilant, ensuring our community is safe.”
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regulates and restricts firearms and ammunition. Importation of weapons or ammunition must be made by a licensed importer, dealer or manufacturer.
Officers referred the shipment to the CBP Center of Excellence and Expertise, Machinery team who appraised the shipment with a domestic value of $129,600.

Translation, "We got lucky".

Although..... one of the CPB agents, running the x-ray, could have been a stealth BoogBoi and knew the outline of that part like he was born with one in his hand.
