TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A U.S. Navy transport jet was sighted flying directly over Taiwan on Tuesday morning (June 9) and was last spotted flying towards Taiwan's Dongsha Islands (Pratas Islands) in the South China Sea.
Aircraft spotting sites AirNav RadarBox and planefinder, in addition to Twitter user Golf9, spotted a U.S. Navy Boeing C-40a Clipper taking off from Okinawa, likely Kadena Air Base, at 8:53 a.m. Tuesday morning. The plane, which has the call number CNV7642, appeared to fly directly over northern Taiwan, turning south to flying along the island's west coast.
The plane's flight path took it over Keelung, New Taipei, Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, and Chiayi before exiting over Tainan and heading toward the open sea, according to AirNav RadarBox.
The jet was last spotted flying toward Taiwan's Dongsha Islands (Pratas Islands) in the northern part of the South China Sea. When Golf9 spotted the jet, he wrote that its route directly over Taiwan's west coast was a "rare flight course."

U.S. military jets very rarely fly over Taiwan's airspace, preferring instead to fly in international waters around the island. The C-40a is the Navy version of the Boeing 737-700 and is designed to carry high-priority passengers or cargo, according to the manufacturer's website.
The flight occurs at a time of rising tensions between China and the U.S. over sanctions imposed in retaliation for a draconian security law passed in Hong Kong. The escalating confrontation is also occurring on a number of other fronts such as the trade war, China's poor handling of the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the South China Sea, and new restrictions on Chinese journalists and graduate students in the U.S.
Ministry of National Defense (MND) spokesman Shih Shun-wen (史順文) released a statement in which he said that the nation's military has full control over the airspace over Taiwan and that the current situation is normal. However, Shih did not confirm or deny the flight by the Navy jet.
Update: 06/09 11:42 a.m.
China Times cited a source familiar with the matter as saying that the plane had requested an emergency landing due to problems with "malfunctioning landing gear." The person claimed that the jet was carrying "high-ranking U.S. officials" and landed at the Ching Chuan Kang Air Base in Taichung before taking off again a mere five minutes later.
However, other local Taiwanese media outlets described the landing as an unverified rumor. The MND has not confirmed such a landing took place and the Liberty Times cited Taichung Airport officials as saying that they had not received a distress call.

Tensions rise as China sends fighter jets after US transport plane flies over Taiwan
China dispatched fighter aircraft across the Taiwan Strait hours after an US transport plane flew over the island of Taiwan on Tuesday, raising military and diplomatic tension in the region by several notches.

Taipei scrambled its own jets in response to warn off the aircraft from the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force, reports from the island said quoting the defence ministry.

The Russia-made Su-30 fighters were given verbal warnings to leave and Taiwanese air force jets “drove away” the intruders, the Taiwanese defence ministry added.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — A Taiwan Air Force patrol jet warned off a Chinese Shaanxi Y-8 transport plane off the nation's southwest coast, the Ministry of National Defense said Friday (June 12).
The incident, which happened Friday morning, is the latest in a long line of Chinese air force and navy attempts at penetrating Taiwanese airspace and maritime zones. The Y-8 only left because the Taiwan jet told the pilot to turn away, CNA reported.

Friday’s incident was the ninth of its kind so far this year, and most flights, both by Chinese and by United States warplanes, have taken place near the southwestern part of the island, over the Taiwan Strait and close to the Bashi Channel separating Taiwan from the Philippines.

A Chinese invasion of Taiwan would be planned to be done in no more than three weeks max.

China will come in with millions of troops and over-run Taiwan
.

America will be told to back-off or else.

China's veto on the UN would stop any action there.

Yes! And they still are in power.

Trump has been attacked from all sides, including from just about every federal agency...and got impeached.

He has to win in November and put down the rest of the marxist feral moles in agencies across government.

Military may need more revamping after Obama and company removed over 200 of its top fighting brass. Abandoning DC while under marxist siege was not a positive sign.

Howdy, Folks!

Again, I found this to be a very good read.

America will be told to back-off or else.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if initially we were told to back off by the Taiwanese. If they were able to defeat Mainland China by what would appear to be themselves, they would garner far more respect from surrounding nations, as well as Mainland China itself (which in the future would be beneficial for them).

In fact, it would be to our benefit if America did "back off." We could be there to pick up the pieces, liberating the citizens of the former People's Republic of China from oppression and ushering in a new era of peace and prosperity, with China as the 51st state of the USA (and Taiwan as the 52nd as they'll certainly want to join us after such a grueling, devastating war).

We are certainly living in interesting times...

Peace and Love,

China, Taiwan: US flight path that drove China to brink of conflict
JUNE 14, 2020 7:13PM

Pressure is mounting for Australia to get involved in the South China Sea conflict.
Jamie Siedelnews.com.au
China has responded to an “unusual” flight by a US transport aircraft by sending its combat jets into Taiwan’s airspace. Taiwan says it had to “forcibly” remove them.
Communist China considers Taiwan its sovereign territory. Taiwan – never conquered during the 1949 Cultural Revolution – does not.
Chairman-for-life Xi Jinping, however, has repeatedly asserted his intention to bring the island under Beijing’s rule – by any means necessary.

So when the US Navy sent a transport aircraft down the west coast of the democratically governed island this week, Beijing took insult.
It responded by sending a flight of Russian-designed Su-30 “Flanker” interdiction fighters into Taiwanese airspace.
“The US warplane’s rare flight over Taiwan showed the increasing collaboration between the US military and Taiwan secessionists, and the Chinese mainland’s fighter jet sorties and approaches sent them a powerful warning and demonstrated how much the PLA (People’s Liberation Army) was determined and prepared for war,” Chinese Communist Party (CCP) mouthpiece the Global Times declared the following day.
Taiwan’s Ministry of Defence says the Chinese fighters were given verbal warnings before its own US-built F-16 Viper fighters “drove away” the intruders.

SOVEREIGNTY ‘SIGNALLING’
The trigger for the confrontation was the presence of a US Navy C-40A “Clipper” transport aircraft – a militarised version of the commercial Boeing 737 passenger jet. It had flown an approved, though unusual, flight path over Taiwan’s airspace on its way to Southeast Asia from the significant US base at Okinawa.

The flight was always going to upset Beijing.
“The PLA’s fighter jet sorties and approaches to Taiwan is likely a counter to the provocative move by the US military aircraft,” CCP military spokesman Song Zhongping told the Global Times. “This can also be seen as a de facto joint military drill, indicating the US could lend Taiwan support in a war and give Taiwan secessionists courage to fight the mainland.”
Song said the Chinese incursion was deliberate.
“This time they flew to the southwestern “airspace” of the island, which showed the determination and capability of the PLA, and this will become more frequent and routine.”
That the US Navy flight was an overt signal of support for Taiwan is likely, especially given China’s recent major military exercises close to its borders. The new aircraft carrier Shandong has been testing its weapons systems to the southeast of the island in what international observers say has been a clear “signal” to Taipei.
Taiwan has repeatedly complained in recent months that China has been stepping up military activity in its vicinity. It sees this as a deliberate attempt to menace the newly elected democratic government of President Tsai Ing-wen.
Beijing insists such exercises are nothing unusual, and that they are happening in its own territory anyway.

But there is no denying China is rattling sabres in its relationship with Taipei. Last month, senior People’s Liberation Army spokesman Wu Qian told a CCP assembly that “Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and that the Taiwan question is China’s internal affair, and China will not accept any foreign interference”.
“The PLA has the firm will, full confidence and enough capability to thwart any kind of secessionist attempt by foreign forces, and will take any necessary measures to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity and maintain peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits,” he said.
BULLY
The United States has stepped up its naval presence in the vicinity of Taiwan and the South China Sea in recent months. It sent a destroyer, the USS Russell, through the Taiwan Straits last Thursday. This was the seventh transit of the disputed waterway so far this year.
Washington has adopted an increasingly overt attitude to the international status of the East and South China Seas, as well as the Taiwan Strait. It insists it has no opinion over who owns what islands or reefs, only that this be negotiated and administered under the United Nation’s laws of the sea.
US President Donald Trump has taken an aggressively anti-China stance. Picture: MANDEL NGAN / POOL / AFP Source: AFP
Specifically, that means the freedom of navigation of commercial and military vessels through international waters.
The US ambassador to the UN has this week upped the ante. He rejected Beijing’s assertion that it has the right to expel Malaysian resource exploration ships from the South China Sea. “The United States rejects these maritime claims as inconsistent with international law as reflected in the 1982 Law of the Sea Convention,” Ambassador Kelly Craft wrote in a diplomatic submission.

Take me there
Malaysia is seeking approval from the UN to expand the definition of its continental shelf in its favour. Beijing is continuing to ignore a 2016 ruling by the international Permanent Court of Arbitration which rejected its claims to the entire South China Sea as unfounded.
A tense three-way standoff between Chinese, Vietnamese and Malaysian forces dragged out over several months earlier this year. At the heart of the dispute was a Malaysian survey platform.
The Australian frigate HMAS Parramatta joined forces with the USS America stealth-fighter carrier, the cruiser USS Bunker Hill and the destroyer USS Barry in April for a freedom-of-navigation demonstration. It was in response to Chinese warship manoeuvres surrounding the Malaysian operation.
“To bring this much combat capability together here in the South China Sea truly signals to our allies and partners in the region that we are deeply committed to a free and open Indo-Pacific,” US Rear Admiral Fred Kacher said at the time.

BARK
Beijing’s increasingly assertive actions on its borders with India, Vietnam, the Philippines and Malaysia has only been serving to drive the nations together.
Manila has reversed its threat to scrap its military relationship with the US “in light of political and other developments in the region”.
Kuala Lumpur has taken its territorial dispute with Beijing to international arbitration.
Jakarta has rejected calls by Beijing to arbitrate a dispute over fishing rights. Indonesia asserts Beijing isn’t its neighbour anyway and therefore didn’t qualify for such provisions under international law.
India, facing Chinese incursions in its highland borders, is also moving to strengthen ties with Australia. New Delhi and Canberra have just signed a $12.7 cyber defence pact as well as an agreement for the militaries of each nation to use each others’ bases and facilities for repair and replenishment.
Canberra itself has been subject to immense intimidation from Beijing, including trade tariffs and threats with withdraw Chinese students, over its resistance to aggressive diplomatic and economic policies.
Such growing co-operation among Southeast Asian and West Pacific nations present a severe setback for Beijing’s ‘wolf-warrior’ diplomacy.
While its military forces – mainly its navy – has been growing dramatically in recent years, it remains incapable of going head-to-head with US forces for at least another decade.
However, if nations such as Japan, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia and India ally to counter Beijing’s aggression, its forces will be significantly overmatched. ‘Unusual’ flight that sparked powerful warning

Taipei, July 4 (CNA) A Chinese military aircraft entered Taiwan's southwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Saturday, before being chased off by Taiwanese patrol planes, according to the Air Force Command Headquarters.
Taiwanese fighter jets responded with radio warnings, and they monitored the Chinese aircraft's movements until it flew off, the Air Force said.
There is no cause for public alarm, the Air Force said, adding that it was closely monitoring the airspace and waters around Taiwan.
According to the Ministry of National Defense (MND), the incident Saturday was the 10th time since June 9 that China's military planes were seen entering Taiwan's airspace.
Last week, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China announced that it would be conducting a five-day military exercise near the Paracel Islands in the South China Sea from July 1.

Well having the right weapons is one thing but being right with God is another. The history is in the bible of this.

This black lives matter is controlled by whites in government and media. The cops are controlled by government and the government in the case of the U.S. gets its orders from the council of foreign relations according to Hillary.

So is life.

Maybe the US should base troops on Taiwan as South Korea, this would act as a trip wire.

If China wants war, China will get war.

Assuming our country continues on it's current path - would you really recommend to a relative to join the military?

CHINA’S BUILDING AGGRESSION TOWARDS TAIWAN
Posted by NC Scout | Jul 27, 2020 | NC Scout, News and Links | 5 |

China’s Building Aggression Towards Taiwan
China appears to be making moves at capitalizing on the chaos in the US and preparing a possible strike on Taiwan according to Reuters. This comes as Australia has sent a flotilla to reinforce the two US Carrier Groups already in the region. China has begun live fire drills as a counter and warned civilian vessels to avoid the area. This apparently coincides with the air raid posters that mysteriously appeared in Beijing last week.

American Partisan has received unconfirmed reports of Amateur Radio operators from Taiwanese islands Dongsha and Kinmen stating that the exercises are underway and that they expect a strike “within 24 hours”. Again, this is unconfirmed but comes after the Taiwan government released a report stating that low intensity conflict in the straits where those islands are located is possible.

In light of the recent increase in military activities conducted near Taiwan by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China, it will be advisable for Taiwan to be on the alert for low-intensity conflict, which can start with very little warning, retired Air Force Deputy Commander Lt. Gen. Chang Yen-ting (張延廷) said at a security forum.

The hotspots for potential low-intensity armed conflict include the Dongsha Islands and Taiping Island in the South China Sea, and Wuqiu Island near Kinmen, which are all under Taiwan’s jurisdiction, Chang said.

One common characteristic of those islands is that they are “easy to attack but difficult to defend,” he said.

Such a move may very well be a trap- China has unveiled the DF-17 hypersonic missile, whose primary mission is anti-ship. Given the social consequences of Covid 19 coupled with the USS Bonhomme Richard incident, the Chinese may be looking to take a first shot across the bow or even eliminate the US force projection capability in the Pacific while fomenting a revolution on the US mainland.

I've got to wonder if NC Scout understands that if any USN or US flagged ships take any incoming fire or other hostile action it won’t be "limited" to the South China Sea?

s in the defence and security establishment said that the “message has been registered” by China.

They added that the three service chiefs have been meeting regularly since the border tensions in Ladakh started simmering from early May and all military strategies are being planned jointly.

As reported by ThePrint, the development comes as the Indian military is preparing to respond to Chinese aggression in a joint manner keeping in mind the possible collusion of China and Pakistan.
“India has reacted in all domains to counter China and to tell her that what she has done is unacceptable. This involves the Army, Navy, Air Force, diplomacy and even economics,” a top government official said.

The official added that the ships have been deployed to send out a message.

U.S. lawmaker warns China of consequences of attacking Taiwan

U.S. Congressman Ted Yoho. CNA photo July 29, 2020;;

Washington, July 28 (CNA) U.S. Congressman Ted Yoho warned on Tuesday that China will face consequences if it resorts to the use of force to invade Taiwan, and he will soon introduce a bill aimed at deterring such an attack.
On his twitter page, Yoho, a Republican member of the House of Representatives from Florida, said he will introduce the Taiwan Invasion Prevention Act on Wednesday to respond to the use of force by China.
"We're gonna stand with any country that is a democracy, that stands up for liberty and freedom and human rights," Yoho said at a ceremony where Taiwan donated 250,000 surgical masks to the American Legion, a U.S. veterans association.
"If China chooses to cross that line, there will be consequences. This is not our choice. This is China's choice. They cannot do what they did to Hong Kong to Taiwan," Yoho said, referring to his bill that authorizes the U.S. president to use force against a Chinese invasion.

The congressman, a member of the U.S. House's Subcommittee on Asian Affairs and a longtime supporter of Taiwan, said the bill will require China to enter into "peaceful negotiations" with Taiwan.
If, however, China chooses to invade Taiwan, the act will authorize the use of force by the U.S. military to "protect Taiwan defensively."
"We don't want to do that. It is not our choice," Yoho said. "Again, this is Xi Jinping, and the Chinese Communist Party. It's not the Chinese people. It's the Communist Party, and an authoritarian government. And we will stand firm with that," Yoho said.

Yoho said Taiwan, with a population of 23 million, is a sovereign country and should be treated as one.
"They're one of our largest trading partners, they punch above their weight. It's a nation that wants freedom and liberty for their people," Yoho said.
"I think that should be respected around the world, and it shouldn't be just America standing up saying this. It should be the rest of the free world that honors and respects the sovereignty of people and lets the people of Taiwan decide."
Yoho said he will continue to push for mutual visits of ranking government officials of Taiwan and the U.S. and a free trade agreement between the two.
According to U.S. media, Yoho's bill will authorize the U.S. president to use force if China directly uses force against Taiwan, if China exhibits an intention to seize control of Taiwan proper, Penghu, Kinmen, and other territory controlled by Taiwan, or if China threatens the lives of Taiwan's people and its military.

I'd rather not see American lives lost and resources expended there. We have problems that need destroyed here within US borders.

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride. China has always been, and unless stopped- permanently, will remain a problem, with the capacity for worldwide catastrophe. As geopolitics has evolved, due to transportation and communications, China has become the virus/disease that keeps on giving. Whether through espionage and asymetric warfare, or economic warfare, China must not be allowed to expand, certainly not at the expense of our few allies and friends...

Peace is wonderful, but not at the expense of freedom...
