Charlotte hospital systems Atrium Health and Novant Health will begin requiring all workers get the COVID-19 vaccinations, hospital officials confirmed Thursday.

Atrium Health will require all workers — including remote workers, physicians, medical residents, faculty, fellows, trainees, contractors, medical staff, students, temporary workers and volunteer staff — to get vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption by Oct. 31.

And Novant Health will require the same for all of its employees, contractors, vendors and students by Sept. 15.

“We appreciate and acknowledge the tens of thousands of team members who eagerly received the vaccine,” Novant Health said in a statement. “Unfortunately, the reality is that vaccination rates remain stagnant across the country, including at Novant Health.”

More than 50% of Mecklenburg County residents have received at least one shot of the COVID-19 vaccines. But that rate has dramatically slowed, climbing just one percentage point per week in recent weeks.

“While our hope is for every team member to accept the vaccine on their own, a mandatory vaccination program will ensure that Novant Health’s patients and visitors, as well as our team members, have better protection against COVID-19 regardless of where they are in our health system,” Novant said in its statement.

‘COVID is preventable:’ NC hospitals renew vaccine urgency as hospitalizations rise
JULY 20, 2021 3:13 PM
“This disease is preventable thanks to a safe and effective vaccine,” the hospital system said, “and we are committed to doing everything we can to bring an end to this pandemic.”

Novant Health has more than 35,000 employees at nearly 800 locations, including 15 hospitals.

And Atrium Health has more than 70,000 employees, with 40 hospitals across the Carolinas, Georgia and Alabama.

Both hospital systems faced questions about mandatory vaccinations as early as December as vaccines rolled out. At the time, officials said they were relying on employees to get the shots voluntarily.

But Novant Health infectious disease expert Dr. David Priest told reporters in June he wouldn’t be surprised to see COVID-19 vaccine requirements from an increasing number of health care systems. “It’s very important to protect our patients,” he said at the time.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS AT OTHER HOSPITALS
Other hospital systems around the state and nation also are mandating that their workers get vaccinated.

That includes several Triangle-area hospitals, including Rex, UNC Medical Center and Duke hospitals, the (Raleigh) News & Observer reported Thursday.

Around the country, hospital systems in New York, Arizona, Missouri and other states have begun to make the coronavirus vaccine mandatory too, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday, the American Hospital Association announced that it supports mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies. The American Association of Medical Colleges has also pushed for the mandate. Atrium Health noted both of the organizations’ support for the mandate in its email to employees.

And on Thursday, the North Carolina Healthcare Association announced it supports COVID-19 vaccination requirements for health care workers, and commended the new requirements from Atrium, Novant and other NC hospitals.

State Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen applauded the announcement in a statement Thursday, saying: “Vaccinations are our way out of the pandemic. Don’t wait to vaccinate.”

Gastonia’s CaroMont Health has not yet implemented a COVID-19 vaccine requirement, the hospital system said in a statement. But CaroMont will add the COVID-19 shots to its existing list of required immunizations at some point.

Charlotte’s largest independent medical practice, Tryon Medical Partners, does not require the COVID-19 vaccine for its employees 450. However, more than 87% of its clinic staff are vaccinated, spokesman Tom Williams told the Observer.

DELTA VARIANT IS ‘SIGNIFICANTLY MORE CONTAGIOUS’
The mandatory vaccination may be spurred in part due to the increase of delta variant cases of COVID-19 across the country.

“Just when we thought things were returning to a somewhat ‘normal’ life, the delta variant has become the most common form of COVID-19 in this country,” Atrium Health said in an email to employees announcing the vaccine mandate. “To date, the delta variant is reported to be significantly more contagious than previous versions of COVID-19.”

Atrium Health has seen COVID-19 hospitalizations double in recent weeks during an uptick in cases in Mecklenburg County and North Carolina.

And more than 99% of people hospitalized with COVID-19 at Atrium are unvaccinated, Atrium said in the email.

Atrium’s mandate applies to all workers at Atrium, including those at Wake Forest Baptist Health and Georgia’s Atrium Health Navicent.

“We view this vaccine no differently than our requirement for our teammates to get an annual flu shot, as well as be vaccinated for measles, chicken pox and other infectious diseases,” Atrium said in a statement to the Observer. “The COVID-19 vaccine is essential to protect the health of our teammates and the communities we serve.”

How the hell can they demand it when it's still Experimental and not a true vaccine? Not even FDA approved yet.

Let's Go Brandon!
Eventually, the POS feds will go down every street,
and forceably drag unvaccinated peoples out of their houses,
hold them down, and inject them with a life ending COVID-19 shot.

Planet Earth is vastly overpopulated, and I am convinced,
that COVID-19 was released, as a population reduction bio-weapon,
and the populations to first be reduced, are the White nations,
then the mostly Brown nations, and lastly the African nations.

The COVID-19 shots are simply the first part, and once the
second part is released, peoples will drop dead in their tracks.

Life as we once knew it, is over forever.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

Happened this week in a large system in South Dakota: Sanford Health.

Employees have until November 1st to complete their vaccine. Medical and religious exemptions are allowed, but have to be approved.

This is not my system, but I'm sure it will come. I did get the vaccine, but I work with several nurses and providers who did not. I wonder if they will walk or be walked out.

I've always thought I was here for a specific time in history. This might be it.

So, if the vax works as well as the flu vaccine, keeping in mind that the flu and covid keep mutating, this is going to work out well. Not.

A couple of the hospitals in my area of Southern Michigan/Northern Indiana is doing this also. :hmm:
Yep, I posted elsewhere that a relative of mine in the Metro Detroit area was let go yesterday because she wouldn’t get the jab. Worked in a medical facility front desk area. She’d been there for over 7 years.

Truly sad. I was Office Manager for a Home Health and Hospice until March of this year. I left mainly due to my fibromyalgia but in part to being able to see the writing on the wall.

I'm afraid I will lose my doctor after more than 30 years, she already had covid, and I know her feelings about the vaccine. It would truly suck. She is the only one that understands all my health conditions and takes the time to talk to me.

It was the nurses dancing around and doing cute little selfies and sayings that helped enable these demonic c*nts with their plandemic coup. Maybe they should have been nurses instead of social media popular with their tick toks and instas.

Pretty soon,
healthcare professionals will refuse to treat you if you have corona.

Or....a couple of bucks a week worth of supplements and generic meds to either prevent it in the first place or treat it yourself before you get bad enough to have to consider professional medical treatment.

This one is self treatment for prevention;

I have to research each vaccine, but so far I am allergic to one of them because it contains 3 or 4 antibiotics, which I am allergic to all types except doxycycline, so I hope that will give me a pass. I do worry about specialists and doctors refusing to see people if they are not vaccinated.

They might do that to you, but they won't be doing that to me.

I see only three ways around it - hide - fight - till they kill - or arrest you.

Of course if you do take it - they will give you - the real thing - right off the bat - the one where you have a decent chance of dying or being sick for life.

I know none of this is a surprise to you.

I will be real interested to see what they are going to do with Mongo's crowd - whether they will go after them first - or last. Assuming they don't take the jab.

I won't take it and I won't be hiding.

The people need to make the employer prove the vaccine makes you immune without serious side effects, which they can't and the widely known evidence/facts shows just the opposite to be true.

Its sad that people have to decide to lose their jobs because they don't want the jab or take the jab and keep their jobs. At first I was adament about walking away from a job to keep from taking the jab, but I've softened on that view. I'm never going to be in that position because I'm retired so I can't know what hell working people have to go through because of this.

However, if "they" come at me, an older very healthy woman who lives in the woods, that I have to take it or be put into a camp, well, they can inject my cold dead body. Things are going down the drain quickly but I don't think they have gotten that far for awhile.

God is good all the time
