2020 Is 'Going to Be a Democratic Wipeout' -- Voters Don't Want Four More Years of Trump
Pam Key

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour,” former lead strategist for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign James Carville said the presumptive Democratic Party nominee former Vice President Joe Biden would “wipeout” President Donald Trump in 2020.

Williams said, “James, everyone I know, everyone I’ve spoken to knows someone who is sick or hopefully recently recovered or on a ventilator or has died of this. What, as you look at this, what’s the short version of what this is doing to Donald Trump, to his presidency thus far?”

Carville said, “First of all, he won with 46.1%. He’s literally lost 95% of the elections that have taken place between the time of his election and right now. His polling numbers are going down, and they’re awful. Usually, in a crisis – I mean, Jimmy Carter was at 67% in the Iran hostage crisis. The prime minister of Italy is over 70%. I’ll bet you 30 governors in the United States are over 70%. I’m totally, totally unimpressed by President Trump’s political prowess. I have absolutely no fear.”

He added, “What I do fear is what you had in Wisconsin, which is where they ran amok with the election and stopped people from voting. But if we go to post in November anything close to a level playing field, it’s going to be a Democratic wipeout. People are not going to vote for four more years of this. I hope this crisis abates. I totally do. We have some encouraging numbers even in Louisiana, as the governor said. I watch him every day. And there is some reason for encouragement. But if you look at even Singapore, they’re having a third wave. We’ve got a long way to go.”

Finally not a lurker!
Trump has been like a judo master, turning his opponent's strengths into disasters for them. Let's hope more truth about Demo fails and lies keep coming out. A lot of people had their eyes opened to a lot of things lately.

Carville: Wisconsin Primary Proved Republicans ‘Will Kill People to Stay in Power’

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “The 11th Hour,” former lead strategist for Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign James Carville said Republicans would “kill people” to stay in power as evidenced by the GOP lead legislature refusing to postpone the Wisconsin primary amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Carville applied that premise to voting and elections in the upcoming cycle.

Carville said, “We’ve got to be careful about is mucking around with voting. They’re going to try it. Trump, all the Republicans admit it, we can’t win if everybody votes. So my kind of mission here in the short term is to sound the alarm to say Mitch McConnell and the supreme court, they’re going to do everything they can to hold on to power.”

He added, “Speaker Pelosi and Schumer, we’ve got to dig in and make sure states have funding to conduct these elections and to put pressure on them to make sure they’re done fairly. This thing in Wisconsin was one of the most awful things I’ve ever seen in my life. Just the extent they’ll go to hold on to power. It was all about one Supreme Court seat in Wisconsin. They will kill people to stay in power, literally.”

IIRC - That was the first election were real Voter ID was required.

Carville considers that running amok?

What a Pants Load Hack.
Notice he said, "people", not citizens. I'm sure we did stop people (i.e., illegal aliens and duplicate voters) from voting. Not one of them was a citizen, however.

Although, there were quite a few people who did vote multiple times.

Geez. TDS is worse than covid19. It is not going to be a "wipeout." That's wishful thinking. It may run neck in neck in places but I still think Trump is going to pull it off regardless of who comes out of the democratic convention as the candidate.

As I have ranted in the past, election time comes, we are in the Big D, 30% unemployment, shortages everywhere, prices going up, and gov is unable to do anything.....the voters will vote everybody out including Trump.

And they will pick a Leader, somebody who looks as if he can save them. Might be a 3rd party.

But if things are looking better everyday, Trump is in.

I am not optimistic. Right now I think the economy is in much worse shape than many realize and if the gate were opened today (metaphor there) it is quite likely not much will happen. If so, we are close to the Big D.

I think the facts on the ground will bode well for the Rep.----Trump proving more right, the true impossibility of "ANY" good way through the situation: we were and are ALL going to get a bite of the shared sacrifices, and shed our share of tears- it's called the real world. When one has to live in it, the value of a man who's a straight talker rises. Those silly spirit cooking shills clamouring against racism while the barn's burning and the shrieks of the dying stock rend the air....well. They will have their supporters, but that number is shrinking, as far as I can see.

Economy may - will- take a hit. Unavoidable. But this isn't because of DJT, and i see no reason that it is permanent. I do see the ghouls dancing on the graves, though, covered in the blood and ashes of all the dead and dying people, hopes, and dreams. I'm as common as dirt, and as unsavvy politically as they come: Typical American. Try prying my DJT vote outta my cold dead hands- that's the only way you'll get it!

Well, let's do the maff.

In 2016 only about half of MURKINS could be bothered to vote.

Of those only about half voted for MAGA.

Half is 50%. Half of half is 25%.

Seems to me MAGA has a 75% problem (which did not vote for DJT first time around). Correct me if I am wrong.

Voters Don’t Want Four More Years of Trump

just to clarify----legal voters do want 4 more years of Trump. its the dead, the criminals, the illegals and those who have something to hide that dont.

To clarify further: legal, NON-SKY SCREAMER voters.

What a Pants Load Hack.
Or, part of the herding team working a national Hegelian dialectic op.

Don't neglect to look over BOTH shoulders - blind spots, and all of that.

YMMV.

I watch a lot of Yootoobers who are both on the Left and Right-the Lefties are more Moderate so, while not fans of Trump, are not complete "Orange Man Bad" Tide Pod Eaters either.

Both are saying and showing people from all walks-Lefties, Blacks, Women are flooding away from the Democrat Liberal Nonsense-even they can see how badly the MSM is skewing things and trying to manipulate them and that Trump, while not perfect, is doing a good job even with the CCP Virus and Econmy in shambles.

Sanders scares anyone with any sense of Finances-mainly it's the Sky Screamers who have no clue about Reality that want him and his Pie-in-the-Sky unworkable Bullshit.

The Biden supporters are having to admit Biden is not all there and neither side will vote for the other so they are sitting it out or voting for Trump.

I have pointed out what we are seeing with the CCP Virus is what Sanders will give them on a permanent basis. I see the Light go on inside their head as Reality hits them like a Lucille.

Also, if one pays attention the hardest hit areas with the CCP virus seems to be Democrat controlled and the areas where their Government are going full-Gestapo are als Democrat controlled-that is not going to go over so well for any length of time I imagine.

So the guy writing this nonsense lives in an Alternate Reality.

I dunno carville, lookie here...

Approval of President Trump’s job performance inches up to a record high in the latest Fox News Poll, as voters rally to both the White House and Congress in the fight against coronavirus.
Amid widespread concerns about the virus’s spread and personally getting infected, 49 percent approve of the job Trump is doing as president.
That’s up from 48 percent two weeks ago and 47 percent in late February.
Forty-nine percent of voters disapprove, marking only the third time in Fox News polling that fewer than half rate him negatively.
TrumpPoll1.jpg

Eighty-nine percent of Republicans approve of Trump, which is not far from his record 91 percent in January. In addition, approval sits at or near his best among women, Democrats, whites, and white evangelical Christians.

Voters give Congress an even bigger ratings bump than the president: 35 percent approve of the job lawmakers are doing, up four points since March and up nine since late February.
On responding to the pandemic, 51 percent approve of Trump. But it’s Dr. Anthony Fauci who gets the best ratings of those tested, as 80 percent approve of him, while 62 percent approve of Dr. Deborah Birx and 52 percent Vice President Pence.
TrumpPoll2.jpg

By a 21-point margin, voters are more likely to approve of how their state government (77 percent) is handling the pandemic than the federal government (56 percent).
TrumpPoll3.jpg

Trump’s rating on the pandemic is dampened by over half (55 percent) thinking the government responded too slowly and nearly half (47 percent) feeling he isn’t taking it seriously enough.
TrumpPoll4.jpg

TrumpPoll5.jpg

“The president’s bump in approval isn’t huge, and certainly not on par with the rally effect for George W. Bush after 9/11,” says Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who conducts the Fox News Poll with Democrat Chris Anderson. “But it could be consequential that he’s closing in on 50 percent, which is critical for his re-election chances.”
On specific aspects of dealing with the pandemic, Trump receives his highest score on empathizing with Americans (51 percent) and lowest on understanding the facts (45 percent). About half say he is providing strong leadership (48 percent) and making good policy decisions (47 percent).
Concerns about the virus are high. Fully 94 percent worry about the virus spreading. Seventy-six percent are concerned about catching it, up from 69 percent two weeks ago.
Large majorities are also concerned about their state running out of medical equipment to treat coronavirus patients (80 percent), being able to access health care services (77 percent), and getting a coronavirus test (75 percent).
Twenty-one percent know someone who has the virus, up from 12 percent two weeks ago. In addition, most, 79 percent, fear they or someone in their family could die from it.
TrumpPoll6.jpg

TrumpPoll7.jpg

And while most expect the worst is still ahead (75 percent), a majority of 57 percent says the country is moving in the right direction in the fight against the pandemic.
TrumpPoll8.jpg

By a 40-point margin, Republicans are more likely than Democrats to think things are going in the right direction on dealing with the pandemic. And by an 18-point margin, Democrats are more likely than Republicans to think the worst is yet to come.
Overall, 8 in 10 favor a national stay-in-place order (80 percent) and requiring some companies temporarily produce medical supplies (84 percent).
Views are more mixed on the $2 trillion coronavirus relief package passed in late March: 39 percent think it was too little, while 39 percent say it was about right. Ten percent say too much. Over twice as many Democrats (56 percent) as Republicans (23 percent) think it was too small.

Views on economy sink during pandemic

Almost all voters are concerned the pandemic will lead to a recession (91 percent), most worry it will lead to economic hardship for their family (79 percent), and half of households (50 percent) have lost a job or had work hours reduced because of coronavirus.
TrumpPoll9.jpg

That leads views on the economy to nose-dive. The number rating the economy positively is down 29 points since January. Now the largest share, 43 percent, say it is in poor shape, the highest level since October 2013.
These are the worst marks of Trump’s tenure, and the decline is due largely to Republicans: 41 percent rate the economy positively (excellent/good), down from 85 percent in January -- a 44-point drop. Among Democrats, the shift was 18 points (from 31 to 13 percent).
TrumpPoll10-1.jpg

“With this economic implosion so directly linked to coronavirus, the degree to which voters blame Trump for economic conditions will likely be based on whether or not they decide he could have mitigated the pandemic’s impact by preparing the country as soon as he was first warned,” says Anderson.
Voters see things changing soon. Forty-four percent think the economy will get better over the next year, 35 percent see it getting worse, and 16 percent expect no change. More than twice as many Republicans (66 percent) as Democrats (27 percent) see things improving next year.
In response to the pandemic, 88 percent report changing how they lead their life at least somewhat, including 56 percent who have changed things “a great deal.”
More say their interactions with others feel friendlier and more compassionate (34 percent) these days than less friendly (21 percent). Another one-third say not much difference (35 percent).
When asked to share any silver linings in the crisis, top mentions include a sense of community (13 percent), more family time (11 percent), the nation being better prepared for future outbreaks (10 percent), the nation being stronger in the future (8 percent), and time for personal reflection (8 percent). One in five is unable to think of an upside (21 percent).
TrumpPoll11.jpg

Conducted April 4-7, 2020 under the joint direction of Beacon Research (D) and Shaw & Company (R), this Fox News Poll includes interviews with 1,107 randomly chosen registered voters nationwide who spoke with live interviewers on both landlines and cellphones. The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus three percentage points for all registered voters.

Nah. Wouldn't take that long, if enough balls and enough guns got together. In a matter of weeks, killing/jailing/exiling enough of the right human cancers could fix over half of it; one season would fix 4/5ths. Imagine just for starters all the universities, dead tree media, and TV networks having 7/8ths of staff laid off -- then only allowed to hire Constitutionalists that were white, Christian, and heterosexual until those were a majority.

Likewise, every government agency/bureau/department/commission that deals with anything not listed in 1789 gets shut down, excepting only aviation and nuclear stuff, with the fired employees disallowed from government employment for life.

Declare the 1965 immigration act null and void, retroactively. Anyone that got let in under it, and their descendants, all have to leave within a week.

See? Not so hard.

jc is proably the best political strategest that ever was. He is the one that got bill clinton elected with the slogan " It's the economy stupid". Clearly he is very good at playing mind games like he is now doing. He knows damn well Pres Trump is on his way to a landslide victory.

My first reaction is: Not if they insist on running Biden as their candidate!

My second one is that I'm sorry, but I think what happened in Wisconson was WRONG, I know the Supreme Court ruled on it and it may be "right" from a constitutional standpoint but when there is the reality of an epidemic disease it was (and is) the wrong choice.

It DID put people in Danger and some of the MAY DIE from going out to vote - that is if the Pandemic is really as bad as reported (but that's another topic - let's assume that it is or that a future one is).

As Boris Johnson and the UK found out - you can infect half your cabinet just by holding regular meetings - the virus loves that and you can infect people by having them stand on street corners in the rain and snow when you are down to five polling places because most of your volunteer poll workers refuse to risk their lives by manning the polling booths.

The obvious answer isn't "computer voting" (except for military folks and astronauts in space) but mail-in paper ballots and/or a computer vote that is only valid when printed out on paper and verified.

Yeah, a paper ballot may take three weeks to know who the President and your congress-critter are but it is better than making people choose between voting and risk of death.

I don't know what the constitutional answer to this problem is, but unless the Pandemic is history by November (and it may be that would be great) there either needs to be something done to allow for a mostly mail-in/other distance forms of voting election (that can be verified) or millions faced being disenfranchised.

On this one, I think Trump is DEAD WRONG and that could lead to other people dying; but then I think voting machines should be turned into scrap metal and replaced by paper ballots in person and hand-counted even in normal times.
