Delightful! I love these!!Would you mind if I print a couple, I especially like that last bee! And is that a *purple* walking stick??
That purple guy ( gal ??? ) is a Damsel Fly, and you're more than welcome to print any of them. I can get you a higher resolution if you're going to print something like an 8 x 10. As it is, the bee will give you 100 pixels/inch on an 8x10, but I believe I have the original high-res for all of them. Let me know.

Thanks Bev. I don't know if they're NG quality, but I appreciate the compliment. Macro shooting is probably the most rewarding and something, to me anyway, is easier to get good results as it takes less creativity in "framing the scene" than things like people or landscape. Those I have trouble with as I just don't have that "photographer's eye".
It's a come and go interest, mostly due to no subject material in the winter months where I live. When summer comes around, however, I can get an itch, get my macro equipment all charged up and cleaned, and in a day just walking around my property can capture some pretty interesting shots. I'd say, however, I probably keep less than 15% of the shots I take, but that's the beauty of digital.
Summer is once again rolling around and when I get to put in the aforementioned macro day, I'll be sure to post more pics back in this thread.

I've seen some people who go to extremes doing snow flakes and while it takes some extra equipment ( bellows lense for extreme magnification ), some of the results of absolutely stunning. Have never done any of that other than try some close-ups using my macro lense.
