Bombshell’ study finds natural immunity superior to vaccination
If the findings are confirmed, the implications for Covid policy will be profound

A major study conducted by Israeli researchers into natural immunity has found that immunity acquired via infection from Covid-19 is superior to immunity from the Pfizer vaccine.
Researchers at Maccabi Healthcare and Tel Aviv University compared the outcomes of over 76,000 Israelis in three groups: the doubly vaccinated (with the Pfizer vaccine), the previously infected but unvaccinated, and the previously infected with only a single vaccine dose.

They found that fully vaccinated but uninfected people were significantly more likely to have a “breakthrough” Covid infection than people who had previously been infected and recovered from the disease.

“This study demonstrated that natural immunity confers longer lasting and stronger protection against infection, symptomatic disease and hospitalisation caused by the Delta variant,” the authors conclude.
The study is only published as a preprint at this stage and has not been peer reviewed. Critics including British immunologist Andrew Croxford have pointed outpotential limitations, but it has been described by infectious diseases expert Professor Francois Balloux as a “bombshell” development.
If the findings are confirmed, the implications for global Covid policy will be profound.
It would not undermine the importance of vaccination for more vulnerable groups in society. However it would weaken the case for vaccinating children, despite the programme being confirmed in the UK today, as they (and the people around them) would get superior future protection from contracting the disease. And it would pose a fundamental challenge to the singular emphasis on vaccine passports for travel and large events, if unvaccinated people who have already had Covid actually pose less of a risk.

This is true for most childhood illnesses as well such as Measles and Chickenpox. The problems for that argument however is that those illness caused a great deal of death and disability and the vaccines improved herd immunity.

That said, childhood vaccines are well tested prior to becoming in common use. The covid19 "vaccines" were not. Due to their lowered efficacy they are creating the variants that are more communicable and it is turning out - assuming the above study plays out across the board - that they are actually making the vaccine recipients more at-risk.

there are certain virus that are more easily tamed than others via vaccines - the corona family ISN'T one of them. mutation rates are the reason we do not have effective vaccines for the common cold and seasonal flu - RSV - which is NOT a corona virus has similar characteristics.

in pertinent part:
"Although influenza virus vaccines have been available for many years the virus continues to take a heavy toll due to its ability to undergo antigenic variation and evade the immune system. However, recent studies showing that it is possible to generate neutralizing antibodies that target highly conserved regions of the virus has raised the possibility of developing more effective vaccines against influenza virus. Yewdell discusses the challenges of developing a universal influenza vaccine and of dreaming the impossible dream."

My daughter was starting kindergarten the first year that the chicken pox vaccine was mandatory. I knew that chicken pox were almost always uneventful for children but can be deadly for adults.

I didn’t want my kids to need 10 year boosters their whole life, plus I just didn’t trust a brand new vaccine.

Luckily the boy next door got chicken pox so I purposely exposed my daughter, who then came down with it.

4.2 billion. They spend just under $7million per minute. That's 10 hours of expenditures.

It's like ordering a cup of coffee for congress.

except the key players who get a percentage directly.

That's how policy is swayed.

Question? What was the death rate of people who went on the vent in 2020??? :hmm:
For covid? Depends on age and other factors but maybe 50%? Probably a bit less anecdotally.
