Two blondes are on a hike through the woods
They come across some tracks and stop to figure out what type they are. One blonde insists they're bobcat tracks, the other thinks they're moose tracks. Before they can figure it out, the train hits them.

I know...groan. :D

The neighbor is totally clueless.

She sees a neighbor who yells: "Run! Run ! Run! Its a bobcat!". Inter mixed with loud snarls. Then he husband with a drawn gun yelling: " Get out! A Bobcat's attacking my wife! Get out! Watch out! I'm goina shoot that sucker!". The neighbor stops for a closer look.

Clueless. Totally clueless.

Wonder if the cat was rabid?

agreed. The title is rather misleading. There were several times he was getting ready to shoot that bobcat when the fool neighbor (the one we see jogging down the street earlier) comes running back to get in the way, so he has to hold his fire to avoid hitting her! He keeps telling the fool to get out of the way--but I'll bet anything she was a "Karen" running around trying to stop that "evil man with the evil gun from killing that poor little defenseless kitty!"

As for the bobcat---it appears the man and his wife were preparing to take a pet---supposedly a cat--in to the vet, and the bobcat came out from UNDER the car parked next to the car they were about to get in and attacks the wife.

I can well believe it was rabid.

But it don't sound like any feral housecat I ever heard---so I tend to agree with those who said it was a young bobcat.

Its being rabid--and not thinking clearly--would explain how it didn't damage the man worse when he was holding it.

But the poor man and his wife will now have to get that awful series of rabies shots.

and yes--that "karen" neighbor who kept running in to "save the poor kitty from the evil gun-toting angry white man" will meet her karma, someday....

If it was rabid Karen is lucky it didn't bite her. Now it's loose in the neighborhood so it can attack someone else, a kid, a pet or maybe even a karen jogging.

Uhhmmm...

That was not a bobcat. That was not even a feral cat. No way either could be picked up and thrown anywhere. No way either would stick around after such an encounter.

IMHO, that animal was a house cat. The confused bystander was trying to explain this to the a-hole publicity hound who claimed he had a gun.

That animal was a house cat. The bystander was trying to explain this to the a-hole publicity hound.
Imogene Cancellare, a conservation biologist whose master’s research focused on bobcat genetics in western Texas, said the animal appeared to be a juvenile that was sitting under a car and attacked the woman’s legs.

Another article says rabid...
