I just read Christian For Israel's story "Mountain Home." I felt it was excellent and hope that other's might use this thread to nominate other member's stories.

So far, I highly recommend "Mountain Home."

I'm still catching up on the reading - been staying up too late to do it, lol. I'm very impressed with the talent we have on board and would have a hard time saying which is #1. Mountain Home and Deep Winter have particularly caught my interest, especially with the Christian attitude on MH. I'm really enjoying all the stories here. Thank you all!

I haven't read that one yet, CFI. I was hoping to finish "Mountain Home" and "Deep Winter" before starting a new online book. However, I might not be able to resist.

True for me also! I just thought we were talking about the new stories on here. Both of Alan's stories here are wonderful! (Also, if you ever get a chance to own a copy of his non-fiction book, "The Prudent Pantry", I highly recommend it too!)

Real hard call as they are all excellent stories....but if push came to shove well I'm really torn between A.T.Hagan's We Interrupt This Program.... and tsherry's Deep Winter. :shr:

I'm going to finish writing mine then I'll take some time off and read both Tsherry' and Alan's work. They both look excellent.

I know this post is old, but I am still going to give my 2 cents.

I have only read a few TEOTWAWKI stories on here, but of those my fav are...

1) After The Plague (I had to pick my own story first.)
2) Lights out.
3) Deep Winter 1&2.
4) We Interrupt This Program
5) Mountain home.
6) In the Blink of an Eye
I have to be honest, I was really disappointed in 'In the Blink of an Eye'. It seemed to be a good TEOTWAWI story, then suddenly switched to a 'race war' story and those are never good. Human is human is human.

All you have to do is watch the news broadcasts. We see plenty of stories of blacks attacking mostly white women. I just call it like I see it. I live in the south and can see what gonna happen when "they" don't have to worry about police!! We see small sections of this everyday. The truth is the truth. We have cuttings, shootings, beatings and murder everyday here. You cannot afford to live with "Rose colored glasses". Look at what is happening and you will feel the same way.

I know times are bad and getting worse, and I also know that there are people, regardless of skin tone, who want chaos. The Bible tells us this will happen at the end days. I just wish it did not have to. I wish everyone would realize that we are all human, all descended from Adam and Eve, and that no one is better then another just because of skin tone.
