I'll see what I can do... I got home after a 4 1/2 hour drive, and immediately dove into chores, as hubby and one of our sons were finishing loading two trailers with farm machinery. Tomorrow I have to start unloading the kitchen and getting serious about packing our stuff- we've been concentrating on the shed and barns, and the kids are getting antsy!

Ellie did get to the pediatrician this morning... first comment as she lifted her head up to look at the doctor was "oh, my! She's fierce!" (I can attest to that... the little stinker ripped my glove off just as I was catching her and holding her tilted down to help with drainage!)

She's 7# 7 oz, and 19"... I had said to my DDIL after changing the little one, "she's LONG! You've got another tall twig!"... well, I guess so! Her oldest uncle tops 6'1"... And he was only 18 1/2" long when he was born! No, I don't think she's going to be 6 feet tall... But both of her sisters are just super strong, flexible mesomorph twigs. DS (pre COVID- good thing they're healthy kids, because they haven't had an in person checkup since March!) used to get frustrated... the doctor would complain the oldest was "underweight", and would give tips on how to get her to gain weight. She was at 95th percentile for height, and around the 10th percentile for weight.

But the problem seems to be that is the AVERAGE! And as DS points out, he'll be disappointed if his girls grow into the "average" American female. LOL! As it turns out, he found sone old height weight charts somewhere on the net, and yep... she still would be considered tall for her age (actually off the charts), but her weight is closer to 40th percentile.

So he always has to point out to the doc that you can't see their ribs, they've got tons of muscle, and more energy than he can handle (the 3 year old gave up all naps at 30 months). And they back off. At least they have enough kids now they can point to the older ones as the pattern!

Thanks all... it was quite a trip, and watching the baby stare directly into her oldest sisters eyes- they were locked on each other's faces like lasers- was an amazing experience. They're in love... oldest one said, "grandma, isn't our baby adorable?" Oh, yes, sweetie, she certainly is!

I'll have to get a pic off the phone... I'll probably post it in the Corkboard, though... safer these days.
