Thank you for all the time and energy you put in to Ava, and your other work. I read your stories over and over - seems there's always something I've missed or forgotten when I re-read. And sometimes I'll go to them looking for a certain bit of information or a recipe and five minutes later (or so it seems lol) it's dark and I need to get supper on!

Finished putting the story up at FanFiction.com so now I can finally take a break for the remainder of the year. Thanks for everyone's patience.

whoops. That should be fictionpress.com

The other website is fanfiction.net but that's not where I posted Ava. LOL It feels like I am losing my mind I am so busy lately. Sorry for the mix up.

My plan is to complete Ava and then move back to Hartford and work on that one and Veta 2 until Hartford is complete. I'll have to see where I go from there. A lot is going to depend if Hartford characters cooperate with the muse and let me finish it in good time. LOL
Hartford? Did you say Hartford? No. Not going to look. Going to finish this entire thread before I look.

I just finished this one again. It is still very good and I still enjoyed it. I remember when you asked for help with Cagin info for a new story you were going to wright. You out did yourself once again. I will say thank you very much again but that is not nearly enough!

Well…it’s the third time I’ve read it and been transported back to the atchafalya basin area. Every time I’ve read it, I can hear zydeco music, smell crawfish boil, and taste the wonderful food. We raised two of our children in the Lafayette area and their school used to close up the Friday the Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival started...drank a few ice cold beers, while sweating and swaying to Wayne Toups and his band playing there at night. Good times and if you are not familiar with the area/culture I can only say that the tourism bureau won’t ever have a better advertisement than this story….the only thing missing from this story is the old French speaking men playing a cut-throat game of Bouree’ in the back room of every local dive and mom & pop store. Money in the middle of the table with a knife stuck through the bills…they’re serious about their cards. First French words I learned were all, cuss words…lol. Let’s just say I was an inspector for more than one parish, but learned quickly they will give you the shirt off their backs but don’t ever double cross them. No one plays harder or works harder…great people and many I still call friends and visit regularly.

Kathy you nailed it !! Wonderful read and even better you make wonderful memories appear like magic, while entertaining and educating one and all.
