PREP Austere Medic Course Coming Next Week!

Folks, in case you haven't been visiting the Corkboard the past couple of months there is one more Austere Medic course coming, next week-end already. There are barely 4 slots left open at latest count as of this week, maybe only 3 (waiting to hear). There have only been 1-2 of these per year, with a long pause for a couple years while the instructor was becoming a doktuh (kinda sorta).

Details and course and registration info can be found here:

Very qualified instructor, mucho learning to impart. Tips and tricks you won't find elsewhere, and you even get to play with sharp objects! But not on each other, no worries. Safe environment, no Palestinian students enrolled. Freebies provided to take home. Casual dress code - just slacks and jacket with tie optional. :jstr:

Rooms at the host facility still available, very reasonable. Bring your own pots, pans and dinner service and cook and dine in your own room. Full size fridge to keep your beer cold, too.

Seriously though, time is short because advance registration is required.

You would be lucky to find anything this affordable much less comprehensive across most of the country. The instructor doesn't make money off this; more a labor of love. This is hands on, not a bunch of lecture and slides. You leave with the same tools you use, and each student has their own training 'something' to use for IV, suture and abscess drainage practice. No sharing required.
