I bought a pressure canner second hand several years ago and finally need a new seal. Found out today that they may be out of production as the canner was manufactured in 1978. It's still in great condition and I don't want to have to get a new one just because the seals aren't in production anymore (if I find any I'm getting at least 3 sets 
).
It's a Presto canner (11 L size). There are lots of them available here now, new ( a few years ago they couldn't be had for love nor money, canning must be making a comeback in this area ) but the Scots in my heritage totally rebels at the thought of having to spend that kind of money when I have a perfectly good canner in the cupboard

(guess it really is discontinued) but.....did find the original part #'s in my instruction manual and that gave me a jumping off point to find the seals with the new part #s (they listed the old part #s too, the darlings
