Another US naval support ship down for the count?

Four stuck in Baltimore (Washington, Gordon, Antares, Denebola)

Two on fire (Button, Bobo)

1 with with multiple propulsion losses (Boxer)

All in a few weeks?!

Two ships of the same class from @MSCSealift
experienced engine room fires.

USNS #Button was on sea trail after a shipyard period in Mobile and suffered a fire that resulted in flooding the engine room with CO2.

USNS #Bobo was sailing to Gaza when the ship turned around and then lost power. The fire fighting tug Alert was dispatched to escort Bobo back to Jacksonville. It appears Bobo, was able to return to port under its own power, but not without issues.

Shipboard fires are not unusual. That is why firefighting is an all hands skill. One of my ships had a high pressure fuel line rupture in main propulsion, we were lucky there was no fire that time. My last ship we had three fires in auxiliary spaces. Poop happens, and the sea will always try to kill you. Always!!!
