Exactly. Because, once this door is opened the Feds with seize the power to regulate how concealed carry permits are issued.

I lost mine in a terrible RV accident.

However: you fail to realize the 10th amendment implication in national CCL reciprocity.

This is a VERY slippery slope. Best you don't go there.
States right are there for a reason, and messing with that can lead to very ugly consequences.

Think Commerce Clause gone mad, only with firearm laws.

Plus, messing with the 10th amendment protection that limit what the Feds can do is not something to be dome lightly. I think reciprocity would be used as a precedent for many other bad things.

It is a nice dream, but the consequences will be bad, and the negatives will greatly outweigh the small gain we would get.

Folks really should think things like this through better.

Correct and the courts needs to be asked by someone off the street to steep in and intervene.
Many would argue but if any state decides to allow buying a pistol and do not require a CCW permit and will not issue one, you are free to travel with that weapon anywhere/any state you want in this country and thats the law.

Heard on local news today (WTOP radio) that 18 people (anti gun protesters) got arrested today at NRA headquarters in Fairfax VA . County PD zip tied them up and took them away. Hope they enjoy a night in the Massey building (county jail)!

I was reporting on what was in the robo call. In principal I like the idea of a nation wide CW reciprocity. In reality I do not trust the integrity or morals of the government to implement it without bias or abuse.

The NRA is not perfect, but what organization is? It is one of our very few reliable allies.

I just called my congress critters one more time. I bit my tongue and did it, despite saying I would not. This is too important.

I told them that they are already on the bubble with us with the latest polls showing over 70 per cent of Republicans saying that the Republicans in Congress don't listen to us.

I said this vote is critical to them, if they want to retain their majority come November. I further said that this is their last wedge issue that will work to get me to vote for them as they have failed on all other fronts.
