This is not an immediate threat. This is not much to worry about, however, if things shift rapidly it could cause for some interesting politics and geopolitical changes.

Less than two decades ago, the ground began to split open in Africa, with fractures opening up across different countries, even splitting a man's house into two. Since then, it's been obvious that Africa is undergoing a continental rift. Such a rift occurs when a continent is set to break into two or more. When this happens, new continents, islands, and oceans will be formed, and our world will never be the same again.

Given the IQ level of a good number of the inhabitants of that continent, let's keep track of how many fall in the crack or make a quick decision to step to one side or the other. :D

I'm sure if we tax the over weight people in Africa twice as much as the skinny people, we can stop the cracking of the earth. Let's tax the skinny people too for being too skinny, they caused this as well.

Well lets insert the word USA

Less than two decades ago, the ground began to split open in AMERICA with fractures opening up across different "counties and states", even splitting a man's house into two. Since then, it's been obvious that AMERICA is undergoing a "Constitutional rift. Such a rift occurs when a country is set to break into two or more. When this happens, new countries, "islands of ethnicities and oceans of poverty will be formed, and our world will never be the same again."

I find this fascinating, not because it's in africa, but because the plates are moving apart in real time, not something we're reading about in a history book. IIRC there's an active volcano along this rift, don't remember if it is a super volcano or not.

How do they really know it is a slow process. By their own descriptions, it is due to bubbles of heat and materials moving around. It doesn't have to move slowly. I can move fast. Real fast.....

Don't know about the speed thing, but nature is quite remarkable and has a tendancy to surprise mankind. Remember that monster quake that hit Turkey and that valley were the olive groves were that disappeared and is now a huge canyon. Me thinks it could happen in the blink of an eye once things start to seriously move.
