HEALTH A gall bladder question>>>

I had mine out about 25 years ago. In am now 71 having bile reflux/gastritis (different from acid reflux). Without a gall bladder the bile has to go straight to the intestines. Instead mine backs up (refluxes) into my stomach and sometimes the bile reflux makes it to my cases esophagus. I am trying to ease things in my stomach mucus by taking digestive enzymes, slippery elm, and a few other natural strategies along with trying not to overeat. My mother died with stomach cancer at 73. With too much unresolved irritation my condition can develop into that. All said to observe that removing a diseased gallbladder maybe the beginning of other problems. I wish it would have possible to keep mine.

Just be aware, guys, that if you have had symptoms for awhile (longer than a few days or weeks) flushing gallstones may not be sufficient. Once the gallbladder itself is inflamed, or worse, infected, unless surgery is just too risky for you, removing it will definitely improve your health.

It's not at all uncommon for a gallbladder to become gangrenous. A gangrenous gallbladder gives a very short life expectancy without immediate treatment.

It's a point...but pretty rare to get gangrene in the gallbladder. Typically, a gallbladder is giving some indication it's messed up. Worth a try to see if the issue is gallstones and do a flush.

Had mine taken out almost 10 years ago.

I was suffering with it for years...didn’t know that’s what it was. Then they developed a test...(I think a nuclear medicine test maybe?) and said, your gallbladder is shot..that’s where the pain is coming from...

Good times! Not really...
Yes, I had the same nuke test. They said my GB was operating at 18%. I had one HUGE stone so I went with the surgery!

I hope everything went ok after that?

Mine was at 3% function...that was some special pain...worse than kidney stones for me.

All of you doing liver flushes or considering it, please do a colonic flush first. If you don't and you dump all of that toxicity into a loaded digestive track, it's just going to get reabsorbed. Sure you will cleanse your liver but not as efficiently as if you had done a pre colon cleanse.

That's a lot from what I've read. Buddy of mine is an internal medicine doc. He does coffee enemas on himself with organic coffee. He has a good size protocol he works up to it, too. Very particular on things he'll eat a few days before he does one. I've not been so brave as to do that one.
Start slow with small amounts of coffee.
Oh boy
Have a warm bath ready to hop in to settle your tummy down.

I had a GIST stomach cancer and pancreatic neoplasms .... I believe coffee enemas have helped a lot

Well>>>I have my ultrasound on my gall bladder tomorrow morning.

I don't really know how in the heck I am supposed to wake up and drive for an hour to the hospital with NO COFFEE!!

By the time I get awake >>>>well I just don't know how I can do it!! I freely admit I am a coffee-holic!!

Wish me luck! The most dangerous part will be driving there without my first POT of coffee!!

That's what the epsom salt water does, in the Hulda Clark protocol. It is a colon cleanse. What kind of cleanse were you thinking here?

Whatever method people chose as far as colonic cleanses is their own. I was just saying that doing a colon cleanse before a liver cleanse is more beneficial.

About 8 years ago I was having severe upper abdominal pain that I’d never had before. Doc sent me to the ER, had some imaging done, and they called a surgeon. My gallbladder was gangrenous per the surgeon. Never knew I had any issues.

How did things go?

Absolutely! Have you had this checked out?! Good grief, lady... there is stoicism and not wanting to fuss about minor things, but this isn't something to ignore.

It sounds like you have an inflamed, and *possibly* infected gallbladder. It would be well worth it to talk to a doc, get an ultrasound and figure out what is going on.

I have a 60 yr old cousin that ten yrs ago had horrible gall bladder pains. She would not go to the hospital. She just sat on the kitchen chair and suffered. She was very stubborn. Her old 70 yr old mom had to come over and make her go to the hospital. They operated that day and she has been fine ever since. I know lots of oily and fried food is bad for the gall bladder. Get checked soon. They have great technology now so I think it's only one day stay.

Take 2 to 3 table spoons of Epsom salt dissolved in warm water on an empty stomach 5 minutes before you go to bed. It will relax the bile ducts to allow stones to pass. Also look into a liver flush also called a gall bladder flush. I've done it and cleared a hand full of stones. My health improved. If you get a burning in the gut maybe 20 minutes after you eat, that could be pancreatic fluids which are backed up due to stones blocking the bile duct. I had that problem. Couldn't eat pizza, hotdogs with catsup, etc without the burning like heart burn. I took the epsom salt and the next day it all stopped.
Wow. I am gonna try that. No problem so far, but been eating greasy foods lately....fried meat and fried rice and such.

I wish I could drink coffee, but am SO sensitive to caffeine that I can't have it. Even when I drink ice tea at the fast food place I only put 2 inches of tea in the cup and the rest water. When I wake up I am TOO hyper and don't need coffee. Many yrs ago I had ONE small cup of free coffee at a store and I was awake for 24 hrs. Got thyroid test am borderline, but closer to normal. Going for more blood tests next week. Normally do it 2x a yr.

I had mine removed in April. It helped. I still don't have an appetite but found out I have cervical degeneration with stenosis. Not sure if it's the pain or what but food... ugh.

MIL suffered for years before getting hers removed. She also wished she'd done it sooner. Now keeping a close eye on DW, who seems to have inherited her mom's Gall Bladder. Nothing serious of yet, but doc's are keeping a close watch on it and she does have stones in it. Basically it's only a matter of time, but for now doing OK.

Sounds like your GB needs to go and the sooner the better.

I'm all about the doom
For several years my gall bladder has been in bad shape. It is swollen>>>you can feel it under the skin>>>and is somewhat painful at times. Previously I have dealt with this by drinking "vinegar tea." In actuality, I have controlled it for about 23 years when I first began to have issues with it.

My question is this: For about the past 6 years I have felt really icky>>>tired all the time and increased issues with severe arthritis. Can a messed up gall bladder cause inflammation through out your body? Could this be part of why I am always so tired??
YES, it sure can. I dealt with one 15-20 years ago, until the attacks became too much. I had night sweats, fatigue, etc. Mine got infected. 2 rounds of Biaxin which caused transitory hearing loss in my left ear.
Got it removed and have had no issues since. The old surgeon said that I had the biggest gallstone that he had ever seen in approximately 5,000 removals.

Anyone know if it would be okay to begin supplementing Vitamin D & Zinc after Surgery?
How long after?

Wondering about probiotics as well.

It should be fine, but you could ask your doc to be absolutely sure.

Don't fool around with this. Get your gall bladder removed and listen to the docs or I'll tell you my story of gall bladder problems that resulted in a 2 and a half month hospital stay Feb-Apr 2020.
Good luck and I'll say a prayer that you stop fooling around with this.
