How's the bond market looking now?
I don't know. BUT that's also not an easy dot to google either. There are several types of bonds, 2 year, 3 year 5 year 10 year, and 30 year and maybe more. And they can invert, and revert, and just vert. And that is just T-bonds. There are other city and county bonds.

So an extreme lot of bonds in the mix, so asking about bonds has to be clarified, but earlier today they said not seen since 1980's (?).

Note from the field…

From prior experience withdrawing large sums of money, called ahead about an hour ago to notify bank that I wanted to withdraw $$$ in $20s and $50s.

Was informed that it would be Friday, March 22nd (week and 2 days from now) before I could pickup my cash.

Waiting a week is normal though, if taking out certain amounts of money, or asking for specific denominations, right?

Please let us know what bank? Just saying if it is in the top six US banks is sufficient.

I picked up a substantial amount today from our CU. Called on Monday to set it up. Also called our bank and it’s set to pick up tomorrow morning. No issues at all.

My gosh! Over a week!

As a side note to your report - I stopped at an ATM this afternoon, one that I've used many times. For the first time ever, at any bank, it locked onto my card and when I tried to put in my pin....nothing showed up. It was like the ATM screen of death, as if the key pad stopped working. I tried repeatedly putting in my pin...nothing. I thought I was going to have to have DH go inside and get help, because the darn thing was still holding tight to my card.

Finally a screen message popped up, something like 'you're taking a long time, do you need more time?' Then it popped up with 'action cancelled' or something to that effect, and released my ATM card. Scared the willies out of me, and DH.

We went to another branch about half an hour away, and had no problems. But, with everything going on in the banking world, this had me thinking ungood things are afoot.

"This will be yet another Biden scandal but one that destroys the long-term viability of the United States. Personally, nobody could have predicted such a level of complete incompetence would have ever seized the White House. To reject bids for SVB was stupid, and a complete reversal of fiscal responsibility." Martin Armstrong
