Schumer Demands Murdoch Pull Fox's Tucker Carlson Off-Air "Because Our Democracy Depends On It"​

'...thou doth protest too much, methinks' is about the most perfect summary of the spectacle that erupted today after Fox News' Tucker Carlson exposed some realities (and all the falsities) of the events of January 6th.
From Mitch McConnell to Mitt Romney, and every RINO and uniparty member in between, Carlson was pilloried using the standard 'conspiracy theory' narrative - though oddly, not one those that spoke out actually refuted any of the never-before-seen footage.

And yet, the so-called 'mainstream media' - which ate up every second of the January 6th Committee's endless charade, fell silent:

But one man stood above it all and demanded this horrific show of free speech be brought to an end - enter Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer stage left...
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actor treat the American people and American democracy with such disdain,” Schumer said.
“And he’s going to come back tonight with another segment. Fox News should tell him not to.”

Then with trembling voice, Schumer set forth his demands...
“These lies continue tonight, Rupert Murdoch, who has admitted they were lies and said he regretted it, has a special obligation to stop Tucker Carlson from going on tonight, now that he’s seen how he has perverted and slimed the truth, and from letting him go on again and again and again,” Schumer said.
“Not because their views deserve such opprobrium, but because our democracy depends on it.”

If Democracy did really depend on stopping Tucker Carlson from revealing the truth about how Democrats have been lying about this subject for three years, it would deserve to fall.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson became public enemy #1 as a result of him showing some of the CCTV footage from the January 6, 2021, protests in Washington DC. Collectively both parties in Washington DC and their stenographers in the mainstream media spent the last day in hysteric criticism of Tucker Carlson.

The need for control is a reaction to fear, and Mr. Carlson seems to understand that sunlight always brings forth the greatest demands for control. In his opening segment tonight, Mr. Carlson took on the critics directly.

Seems like every week it becomes more apparent that not only does our government no longer serve the people they also do not acknowledge the only power they hold is derived from the consent of the people.

Anyone who desires to restore and preserve our inalienable rights and constrain the government to those powers explicitly granted to them so long as they have the consent of the people is now considered an enemy not of the state but the corrupt deep state now infecting our highest and most powerful offices and institutions.

But, didn't we already know every bit o' whatever tucker is presenting?
And, don't only we who already know comprise his audience.

I'd think that at least part o' the big bruhaha over this is part o' the kabuki event. Democrats aren't going to suddenly tune into fox and have a come to jesus moment over this info. I'd be cynical enough, even, to suggest that they know, and don't really care too much- because Orange-Man-Bad and Repugnant Republican Mouth Breathers got what they deserve.

Their bastardized form of democracy is nothing like the democracy dictated by the Constitution. Their version of what is right and what is wrong, what is good and what is bad, what is legal and what is illegal is dictated by the puppeteer who feeds the graft mill with the greatest number of high denomination bills. When are these people going to get prosecuted for violating their oath of office? They all (each and every one) vowed to defend the constitution. Is this behavior considered protecting the constitution? What good are laws if nobody is expected to obey them but we peons? Somebody should remind those highminded prigs that the founding fathers were insurrectionists.
