China Faces 'Winter Wave' Of Deaths As Beijing Eases Zero-COVID Policies Despite Infection Surge

WEDNESDAY, DEC 07, 2022 - 08:05 AM

China relaxed its zero Covid strategies to prevent further public unrest and boost waning economic growth. The new measures allowing for home quarantines and entry into public areas without testing were announced after a meeting of the Chinese Communist party's politburo. They outlined the importance of stabilizing the economy than combating Covid.

"We will protect people's safety and health to the greatest [extent] and keep the impact on social and economic development to a minimum," the State Council Prevention and Control Mechanism said on Wednesday, which was quoted by South China Morning Post.

The new measures from the communist government call for isolating asymptomatic or mild Covid cases at home rather than in quarantine camps or hospitals for seven days. Anyone in contact with the infected would have to quarantine at home for five days instead of eight days at a camp and then at home.

The State Council disbanded the rule for people to show negative Covid tests before entering public places.

"People no longer need to show a negative PCR [polymerase chain reaction] result or a health code to enter public venues or to travel, except when entering hospitals, schools and homes for the elderly," SCMP wrote.
SCMP added: "The new policy stressed that basic social and medical services need to be provided. People's movements, work and production should not be restricted in low-risk areas."

Today's announcement is the most significant move to ease Covid policies since the Council announced a 20-point playbook for relaxing measures last month.

1670470931609.png

Liang Wannian, an epidemiologist, now a health official who once led China's initial pandemic response, told Bloomberg that Beijing is more "proactive, rather than reactive" and would "ensure resources are utilized more efficiently and better coordinate outbreak control and economic development."

In Hong Kong, the benchmark Hang Seng initially surged on the news, then sold through most of the session, closing down 3%. There was also trade data for November that showed Chinese exports were hit by weak global demand and Covid disruptions at factories.

"Although the measures announced today are positive steps towards reopening, it appears some of the reopening exuberance is fading.

Disappointing trade data is also a reminder of the slowing external demand heading into next year," said Marvin Chen, an analyst at Bloomberg Intelligence.

"Though the market is still trading on the positive expectations we are not entirely out of the woods, as we still have to get past the panic that might come with the first wave of infections," Ma Xuzhen, fund manager at Longquan Investment Management, said.

China's Covid outbreak is worsening as infections soar:

One million Chinese people are at risk of dying from Covid-19 during the coming winter months if President Xi Jinping pursues his pivot to remove strict pandemic controls, new modeling shows. --
Financial Times

"The current propaganda messaging is that a reopening will be costless," said Rodney Jones, principal at Wigram.

"The risk is that they are underestimating just how much work — and cost — the rest of the world has done and borne to get to the point of living with Covid.

"China has done nothing to prepare for this step, and Xi appears to be doing so on impulse as a reaction to the protests, rather than as part of a careful policy programme," Jones said.

Deteriorating global economic growth will worsen into early 2023. China's shift from zero Covid policies is a move to boost domestic demand over the medium term to stabilize its faltering economy. The next few months could be turbulent as the reopening process could be met with a wave of infections and deaths.

Cosco Pulls China-Canada-US Express Service

WEDNESDAY, DEC 07, 2022 - 06:40 PM
By Martina Lu of Container-News

COSCO Shipping Lines has withdrawn its express China-Canada-US intermodal service that was launched in October 2021, as carriers continue to trim capacity to respond to falling demand.

Container News was informed that the CEN-EXPRESS service had its last sailing when the Xin Ying Kou arrived at Prince Rupert on 29 November.

The service used five 4,250 TEU ships to move containers from Qingdao and Shanghai in China to Prince Rupert in Canada, from where the containers were railed from DP World’s terminal in Prince Rupert port, via the Canadian National Railway, to Chicago in the United States.

The ships have since been redeployed to COSCO's Pacific Northwest services.

At the time it was launched, CEN-EXPRESS was marketed as an alternative way for shippers to move boxes from China to the US West Coast; at the time, the lane was suffering unprecedented congestion due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Since then, however, the situation has reversed, as global economic uncertainties and inflation affects consumption.

Freight rates have fallen to almost the low levels seen before the pandemic, and carriers have been blanking sailings as a result.

Border Patrol Agents Eviscerate Biden For Saying He's Got "More Important Things" To Worry About

WEDNESDAY, DEC 07, 2022 - 06:00 PM
Authored by Steve Watson via Summit News,

Joe Biden declared Tuesday that he has “more important things” to worry about than visiting the border, despite the fact that he was in Arizona anyway for an appearance.

It started with the White House attempting to avoid the issue altogether:

Then Fox News reporter Peter Doocy outright asked Biden why he wasn’t going to check on the border despite being only a few miles away.

As we have repeatedly highlighted, there is an all our crisis on the border that is about to get even worse:

Border patrol agents were not impressed, with one commenting to the Daily Caller “MORE IMPORTANT THINGS? This is HIS disaster, he created this catastrophe. The border crisis is a total breach of National Security. Give me a ****ing break…I can’t wait for this clown to be out of office.”

Another Border agent charged that Biden’s comments betray “another example of how delusional he is.”

Germany — sounds as if Mass Arrests have Started

This is a dangerous gamble by the Modern Nazis in power. All those folks who have spent much time in insurgencies — many are on our page here — know what I mean. OGGERM (Occupying Government Germany) ultimately cannot withstand a general uprising if that occurs. And they have filled their own fish-tank with Africans and Middle Easterners — some fish don’t mix well in same aquarium.

Seeds of war have sprouted.

Suspected German coup plot spawns dozens of arrests
German police have rounded up dozens of people including a self-styled prince, a retired paratrooper and a former judge, accusing the suspects of discussing the overthrow of the government, but leaving unclear how concrete the plans were

ByFRANK JORDANS Associated Press
December 7, 2022, 2:35 PM

BERLIN -- German police rounded up dozens of people including a self-styled prince, a retired paratrooper and a former judge Wednesday, accusing the suspects of discussing the violent overthrow of the government but leaving unclear how concrete the plans were.

A German official and a lawmaker said investigators may have detected real plotting, drunken fantasizing, or both. Regardless, Germany takes any right-wing threat seriously and thousands of police officers carried out pre-dawn raids across much of the country.

“We’re talking about a group that, according to what we know so far, planned to violently abolish our democratic state of law and an armed attack," on the German parliament building, government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit said.

Sara Nanni, a lawmaker with the Green party, part of the German government, suggested the group may not have been capable.

“More details keep coming to light that raise doubts about whether these people were even clever enough to plan and carry out such a coup,” Nanni said in a post on the social network Mastodon. “The fact is: no matter how crude their ideas are and how hopeless their plans, even the attempt is dangerous!”

Federal prosecutors said the group is alleged to have believed in a “conglomerate of conspiracy theories consisting of narratives from the so-called Reich Citizens as well as QAnon ideology. ” Adherents of the Reich Citizens movement reject Germany’s postwar constitution and have called for bringing down the government, while QAnon is a global conspiracy theory with roots in the United States.

The Reich Citizens scene has been under observation by Germany’s domestic intelligence agency since 2016. Authorities estimate that the loose-knit movement has about 21,000 adherents.

Prosecutors said the suspects also believe Germany is ruled by a so-called “deep state.”

One of the alleged ringleaders arrested Wednesday is Heinrich XIII Prince Reuss, a 71-year-old member of the House of Reuss who continues to use the title despite Germany abolishing any formal role for royalty more than a century ago.

Federal prosecutors said Reuss, whom the group planned to install as Germany's new leader, had contacted Russian officials with the aim of imposing a new order in the country once the German government was overthrown. There is no indication that the Russians responded positively.

Police also detained Birgit Malsack-Winkemann, a judge and former lawmaker with the far-right Alternative for Germany party.

Alternative for Germany, which is known by its acronym AfD, has increasingly come under scrutiny by security services due to its ties with extremists.

AfD's co-leaders, Tino Chrupalla and Alice Weidel said they had only learned of the alleged coup plans through the media, and condemned them.

“We have full confidence in the authorities involved and demand a swift and comprehensive investigation,” they said in a statement.

Chief federal prosecutor Peter Frank said some 3,000 officers were involved in the raids conducted at 150 sites in 11 of Germany’s 16 states.

Officers detained 22 German citizens on suspicion of “membership in a terrorist organization,” prosecutors said. Three other people, including a Russian citizen, were held on suspicion of supporting the organization, they said. An additional 27 people were under investigation.

One of those arrested was a soldier serving on the support staff for Germany's special forces unit KSK in the southwestern town of Calw. The unit has received scrutiny over what officials called some soldiers' far-right beliefs.

Along with detentions in Germany, prosecutors said one person was detained in the Austrian town of Kitzbuehel and another in Italy.

The latter suspect, a 64-year-old German citizen who is a former officer in the German army special forces, is accused of being part of a criminal organization that aimed to “subvert the German democratic order by any means - including criminal - and replace it with another unidentified form of state,” police said in a statement, adding that extradition proceedings were underway.

“Of course, there are many people who grandstand and tell confused tales stories after drinking alcohol,” German Justice Minister Marco Buschmann said. “In this case, however, there were such strong suspicions that the group wanted to take violent action that the investigating judge at the Federal Supreme Court ordered the investigative measures to be taken.”

Some of the group’s members had made “concrete preparations” to storm Germany’s federal parliament with a small armed group, according to prosecutors.

Wednesday's raids showed that “we know how to defend ourselves with full force against the enemies of democracy,” Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said.

“The investigation offers an insight into the depths of the terrorist threat within the Reich Citizens milieu," Faeser said. “Only the further investigation will provide a clear picture of how far the coup plans had come.”

Officials have repeatedly warned that far-right extremists pose the biggest threat to Germany's domestic security. This threat was highlighted by the killing of a regional politician and the deadly attack on a synagogue in 2019. A year later, far-right extremists taking part in a protest against the country’s pandemic restrictions tried and failed to storm the Bundestag building in Berlin.

Faeser announced this year that the government planned to disarm about 1,500 suspected extremists and to tighten background checks for those wanting to acquire guns as part of a broader crackdown on the far right.

Could this be the next “oops, we might have ****ed up the market through this whole ‘mortgage backed securities’ plundering scheme” but on a far more vast scale? The numbers are mind-bending. Many have been warning about the size of the ‘derivatives market’ for years — but it’s infrequently mentioned by the heads of Central Banks and their affiliates.

Now all the sudden they see it for the ‘blind spot’ that it has been.

LONDON, Dec 5 (Reuters) - The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has warned that pension funds and other 'non-bank' financial firms now have more than $80 trillion of hidden, off-balance sheet dollar debt in the form of FX swaps.

Now the Bank of International Settlements & the Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve have both zoomed in on an $80 trillion dollar black hole?
Come again?

Former FBI Agent Reveals Massive Election Interference in 'Bombshell' Court Testimony

"The way the FBI works is FBI field offices are responsible for maintaining day-to-day relationships with the companies that are headquartered in their area of responsibility"...

Kyle Becker

A Big Tech lawsuit has uncovered one of the most disturbing revelations yet about social media companies' collusion with law enforcement agencies to police speech on the Internet. A former FBI agent, Elvis Chan, revealed during the court hearings that the bureau held weekly meetings with major social media companies prior to the 2020 and 2022 elections.

On Wednesday, the court transcript of former FBI agent Elvis Chan's testimony was released and corroborated earlier reports.

"Mr. Chan, or Agent Chan, who do you recall on the social media platform side participating in these — in these working group meetings that you have been testifying about from 2020 and 2022?"

"The companies that I remember attending the meetings are Facebook; Microsoft; Google; Twitter; Yahoo!, which have been known as Verizon Media at the time; Wikimedia Foundation and Reddit," Agent Chan said.

Chan was then asked why the FBI was participating in these meetings.

"And why are you included in particular?"

"The reason that I attend these meetings is because the way the FBI works is FBI field offices are responsible for maintaining day-to-day relationships with the companies that are headquartered in their area of responsibility, which I may occasionally abbreviate AOR," Chan responded. "And all of the companies that have been listed, with the exception of Microsoft, are all headquartered in San Francisco's territory."

Chan also testified that he was in regular contact with Facebook's Steven Siegel and Twitter's Yoel Roth, as reported by Lee Fang.

1670474555229.png
Image
https://twitter.com/lhfang/status/1600259916182130688
Yoel Roth, formerly Twitter's Head of Trust and Safety, was recently terminated by Elon Musk, as was Twitter's General Counsel Jim Baker, who was formerly the FBI's General Counsel.

Chan also related the the U.S. government is in regular correspondence with major social media platforms regarding elections; namely, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency (or CISA).

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, one of the attorneys general that filed the lawsuit, earlier disclosed an overview of FBI agent Elvis Chan's testimony on 'weekly meetings' about censoring Internet posts ahead of the 2020 election.

"In our deposition of FBI agent Elvis Chan on Tuesday, we found that the FBI plays a big role in working with social media companies to censor speech - from weekly meetings with social media companies ahead of the 2020 election to asks for account takedowns," Schmitt wrote in a Twitter thread.

"Chan, the FBI's FITF, and senior CISA officials had meetings with social media companies in the lead-up to the 2020 election, in which Chan personally told the social media companies that there could potentially be a Russian 'hack and leak' operation shortly before the election," he continued. "Those meetings were initially quarterly, then monthly, then weekly heading into the 2020 election."

"Chan stated that the FBI regularly sent social media companies lists of URLs and social media accounts that should be taken down because they were disinformation from 'malign foreign influence operations'," Schmitt went on.

"The FBI then inquired whether the platforms have taken down the content.

On many occasions, the platforms took down the accounts flagged by the FBI."

Chan testified because of the agent's extensive knowledge of the FBI's interaction with social media companies, the judge in the case stated.

"Chan had authority over cybersecurity issues for the FBI in the San Francisco, California region which includes the headquarters of major social-media platforms and played a critical role for the FBI in coordinating with social-media platforms related to censorship," Judge Terry A. Doughty wrote in his court order.

"Even if Chan played no role in the Hunter Biden laptop communication issue, he may have knowledge of who did, and his deposition is nonetheless warranted," the judge aded. "If Chan played no role in the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story, then such information will be made clear in his deposition."

Last Friday night, Twitter released a trove of internal documentation about the social media platform's coordination with Biden campaign staff and DNC officials ahead of the 2020 election. But one thing was missing, as pointed out by New York Post columnist Miranda Devine.

MSNBC Analyst Says ‘The Left’ Does Not Control The Democratic Party

Daily Caller News Foundation logo

HAROLD HUTCHISON REPORTER
December 06, 20223:11 PM ET

Members of a MSNBC panel said Tuesday that the “left wing” does not control the Democratic Party, while Republicans are “captive to” supporters of former President Donald Trump.

“The Republican Party has this problem, is that they are captive to this base that’s very extreme. So, Donald Trump or anybody who pays homage to Donald Trump can’t win a national election. Donald Trump cannot,” John Heilemann, a national affairs analyst for MSNBC. “His support nationally keeps going down. He could never win a majority of the vote in any circumstance.

Donald Trump is not able to — I would say, at this point, Donald Trump can’t even run the table through the narrow path of the Electoral College. He is that toxic.”

Trump came under fire after some high-profile endorsements, like Republican gubernatorial candidates Doug Mastriano of Pennsylvania and Kari Lake of Arizona as well as Senate candidates Blake Masters of Arizona, Adam Laxalt of Nevada and Mehmet Oz of Pennsylvania, lost during the Nov. 8 midterm elections where the Republican Party underperformed expectations of a nation-wide “red wave.” Trump-endorsed Senate candidate and former NFL running back Herschel Walker faces a Tuesday runoff with Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock of Georgia.

“You can’t win a Republican nomination without appealing to Donald Trump’s base voters. You can be Joe Biden and say, as he did in 2020, ‘You know, I won’t compete with Bernie Sanders on the left. I won’t compete with Elizabeth Warren on the left,’” Heilemann added. “He won the Democratic nomination without embracing Medicare-for-all, without embracing Green New Deal, without doing any of the things the left wanted him to do.”

“It’s just that the left has a big voice in the Democratic Party, but it’s not a barrier to a more centrist politician winning the nomination, as Biden proved.

In the Republican Party the base has made it impossible to get over their hurdle and then be a nationally competitive candidate,” Heilemann said after a brief interruption by Donny Deutsch. “That’s the problem Republicans face.

That’s what Trump and Trumpism have done to the party, they’ve created a circumstance where it’s almost impossible to nominate someone who clears that bar and is that electable on a national basis.”

The Republican National Committee did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Top Biden officials to appear at conference endorsing Covid-19 zoonotic origin theory as ‘science’

Panel advances baseless claim that human impact on the environment is responsible for pandemics.

Jordan Schachtel

Several high level Biden Administration officials will participate in a conference Wednesday and Thursday where organizers have declared the zoonotic origin theory of Covid-19 as “science,” and the ultimate result of human impact in the environment.

The Global Health Council (GHC), an outfit funded by the U.S. government and the Gates Foundation, along with smaller private donors, will kick off its annual conference Wednesday afternoon. The GHC is a leftwing organization aligned with climate change fanaticism and the priorities of the degrowth movement, and it seeks to promote ESG policies to facilitate these outcomes.

On Thursday morning, Jim Levy, a top State Department official, will appear on a GHC panel that declares, “Important new science strongly supports zoonotic origins for COVID-19,” adding that “human impact on ecosystems” might be to blame for the outbreak.

Levy will be joined by a VP at EcoHealth, the Wuhan lab-linked organization that attempted to cover up its role in conducting dangerous coronavirus experiments in China, which were funded in part by Anthony Fauci’s NIAID.

1670475180938.png
Image

View: https://twitter.com/EcoHealthNYC/status/1599788247466627076?s=20&t=i_6U09gZCwJLPXrdHZpFkA

The panel description reveals an emphasis on rolling back human impact on the environment. This notion forms the core objective for the climate hysteria movement, which is fully embraced by the U.S. Government Health establishment. In addition to supporting the zoonotic origin theory, these actors now speculate, without evidence, that human interference in the environment may have caused the claimed zoonotic spillover event.

The panel is sponsored by Preventing Pandemics At The Source (PPATS), a spin off of a non-profit outfit called Dalberg Catalyst, which has also received millions of dollars from the Gates Foundation and The Rockefeller Foundation.

Additionally, a senior World Economic Forum official sits on its board. The billionaire-funded PPATS acts to disseminate the evidence-free notion that human impact is driving pandemics. Last week, Anthony Fauci published a paper in the New England Journal of Medicine embracing the idea that the pandemic was caused by human “encroachment on nature.”

Levy is far from the only Biden Admin official appearing at the event. He will be joined at the conference by top officials from the State Department, Treasury Department, and National Security Council.

Now three years into Covid hysteria, there remains deep suspicions about the role played by both the U.S. government health establishment and their Chinese counterparts in potentially sparking the outbreak. Investigators and journalists have pointed to the dangerous U.S. and Chinese Communist Party-funded coronavirus experiments conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology as the potential epicenter for the pandemic.

The U.S. government health establishment, through Dr Anthony Fauci and his colleagues, have long insisted upon a “zoonotic origin” for the outbreak, claiming that the virus made the leap from bats to humans at a nearby wet market in Wuhan, China.

For the dangerous virus research, the EcoHealth Alliance served as the funding and research bridge between the U.S. and Chinese health establishments.

EcoHealth — and particularly its leader, Peter Daszak — has come under lots of scrutiny in recent years. The outfit has received millions of dollars in grants from the Fauci-led NIAID specifically to study and conduct experiments on gain of function research related to coronaviruses. Many of these initiatives were launched at the infamous Wuhan virology lab. The U.S. health establishment continues to fund EcoHealth despite its role in the gain of function controversy.

For several years, top U.S. government health officials (Fauci, former NIH Director Francis Collins, etc.) and their partners at EcoHealth have sought to delegitimize and demonize any scientists and journalists who raise questions about the zoonotic origin theory. Daszak, for his part, has refused to comply with congressional Covid-19 origins investigations.

The Biden Administration has yet to provide much clarity over its current position on the lab leak vs zoonotic origin debate. Through their robust attendance at the Global Health Council conference, it appears the Biden Administration is more than comfortable continuing to endorse the zoonotic origin camp.

Part 5: The Rape of the Mind

How does repeated conditioning turn otherwise 'sane' individuals into salivating dogs?

1670475724714.png
https://farm.substack.com/p/part-4-the-rape-of-the-mind

From previous posts in the series, the following topics have been covered:
  1. Mental coercion.
  2. Menticide, “killing the mind.”
  3. Social conditioning through repeated speech.
  4. Political conditioning in more subtle forms.
But does the average person seek out this type of conditioning and reinforcement? Why? In-group behavior can help explain this. The drawing in of an audience into a hypnotic state can also explain this. More specifically, the feedback loop of in-group behavior — involving a ‘speaker’ and a ‘listener’ and/or a group thereof, as well as the ‘state of mind’ brought on by the reinforcement mechanism can also explain this.

Over time, the ‘imprinting’ of an inner Pavlovian bell — the bell that makes all other bells silent (the reason why you can’t talk about ‘it’)— is completed, and there can be no breaking through the barrier instilled. This is part and parcel of the long-term strategy of demoralization, polarization, and self-censorship being conducted and imposed upon the will of the afflicted.

The Urge to Be Conditioned

One suggestion this chapter is not intended to convey is that Pavlovian conditioning as such is something wrong. This kind of conditioning occurs everywhere where people are together in common interaction. The speaker influences the listener, but the listener also the speaker. Through the process of conditioning people often learn to like and to do what they are allowed to like and do. The more isolated the group, the stricter the conditioning that takes place in those belonging to the group. In some groups one finds people more capable than others of conveying suggestion and bringing about conditioning. Gradually one can discern the stronger ones, the better adjusted ones, the more experienced ones, and those noisier ones, whose ability to condition others is strongest. Every group, every club, every society has its leading Pavlovian Bell. This kind of person imprints his inner bell ringing on others. He can even develop a system of monolithic bell ringing: no other influential bell is allowed to compete with him.

Another subtler question belongs to these problems. Why is there in us so great an urge to be conditioned, the urge to learn, to imitate, to conform, and to follow the pattern of family and group? This urge to be conditioned, to submit to the communal pattern and the family pattern must be related to man's dependency on parents and fellow men. Animals are not so dependent on one another. In the whole animal kingdom man is one of the most helpless and naked beings. But among the animals man has, relatively, the longest youth and time for learning.

The innate urge to limit social ostracization by imitating in-group behavior.

The create of an “inner bell” that precludes all other bells from “competing.” A working example of this kind of conditioning behavior is patently obvious in the throngs of

This ring of an “inner bell” is why no one, no data, no studies, and not even the personal experience of being diagnosed with a severe medical issue as a result of the genetic injections can break the spell of those in servitude.

Puzzlement and doubt, which inevitably arise in the training process, are the beginnings of mental freedom. Of course, the initial puzzlement and doubt is not enough. Behind that there has to be faith in our democratic freedoms and the will to fight for it. I hope to come back to this central problem of faith in moral freedom as differentiated from conditioned loyalty and servitude in the last chapter. Puzzlement and doubt are, however, already crimes in the totalitarian state. The mind that is open for questions is open for dissent. In the totalitarian regime the doubting, inquisitive, and imaginative mind has to be suppressed. The totalitarian slave is only allowed to memorize, to salivate when the bell rings.

It is not my task here to elaborate on the subject of the biased use of Pavlovian rules by totalitarians, but without doubt part of the interpretation of any psychology is determined by the ways we think about our fellow human beings and man's place in nature. If our ideal is to make conditioned zombies out of people, the current misuse of Pavlovianism will serve our purpose. But once we become even vaguely aware that in the totalitarian picture of man the characteristic human note is missing, and when see that in such a scheme man sacrifices his instinctual desires, his pleasures, his aims, his goals, his creativity, his instinct for freedom, his paradoxicality, we immediately turn against this political perversion of science. Such use of Pavlovian technique is aimed only at developing the automaton in man, not his free alert mind that is aware of moral goals and aims in life.

Corporate Disinformation Outlets have effectively become managers of this ‘misuse’ of Pavlovianism. Maintaining a hypnotic state over their audience, transforming many of them into nothing more than salivating dogs waiting for the ring of a bell.

EXCLUSIVE: Peruvian Embassy Has ‘No Idea’ Who Its President Is Following Attempted Coup

Daily Caller News Foundation logo

ARJUN SINGH CONTRIBUTOR
December 07, 20223:27 PM ET

Peruvian President Pedro Castillo’s attempt to dissolve his country’s Congress before a vote of impeachment has sparked chaos in the nation as well as confusion among diplomats regarding who is currently the leader of the country, the Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

“We have no idea who’s the president now,” said a spokesman for the Peruvian embassy in Washington, D.C. They added that they were waiting for information to reach diplomats regarding the matter.

Peru entered a constitutional crisis on Wednesday after Castillo, a former schoolteacher and left-wing Marxist politician elected in 2021, announced that he would dissolve the unicameral Peruvian Congress and impose a state of national emergency, which included a national curfew and authority to rule by decree. The Congress was in the middle of impeachment proceedings against Castillo for allegations of corruption, previously investigated by Peru’s Public Prosecutor, that Castillo received $510,000 in exchange for granting Heaven Petroleum, a foreign company, a contract to sell biodiesel, per MercoPress.

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1600539394795896832
2:08 min

Zamir Villaverde, a businessman involved in the deal who later released testimony against Castillo, said that the money was delivered to former Presidential Secretary Bruno Pacheo, who resigned from office following multiple allegations of corruption. He claimed that the money was intended for Castillo’s personal use. This is the fifth active investigation involving Castillo by the Attorney General of Peru’s office, which oversees the Public Prosecutor.

The Congress voted on a motion to initiate impeachment proceedings against Castillo on Dec. 1 and was poised to vote to formally impeach Castillo on Wednesday, its third such attempt less than a year following his assumption of office. A vote of impeachment in Congress must be followed by a vote of removal.

Before that second vote, however, Castillo announced his dissolution and emergency measures. They were widely condemned by other institutions in Peru, with military and police leaders releasing statements in opposition, while reports of their resignation surfaced.

1670476329519.png
It is unclear at this time whether Castillo’s dissolution of Congress, a power of the president under Article 134 of the Peruvian Constitution, was recognized, and whether a removal vote has been legally conducted.

The First Vice President, Dina Bouarte, who would normally succeed Castillo in the event of a successful impeachment, also reportedly condemned the measure. Castillo was later reported to have fled the presidential palace to seek refuge in a foreign embassy, while some local media suggest that he’d been arrested by police.

Peru has been in the midst of a political crisis since March, with nationwide protests against Castillo’s government’s handling of inflation and the cost of living. In April, protesters ransacked government offices, including those of the Supreme Court of Peru, and attempted to storm the Congress.

Peru’s leadership has also been unstable, with the country having four presidents within the last two years, including one who served for just five days, following the impeachment of former President Martín Vizcarra in 2020.

The White House, the Organization of American States and the U.S. Department of State did not respond to a request for comment.

Opinion: The Value of Partnerships Between the Agriculture and Energy Industries

Through a series of extremely poor energy policies, the Biden administration is creating an environment that will produce dire consequences for American consumers, business owners and agriculture producers.(Top Producer)

By GUEST COMMENTARY December 7, 2022
By Ron Rabou, president of Rabou Farms

2022 has been a year full of challenges, frustrations, severe drought conditions and what seem to be never ending costs. Never in the history of our farm has our overall crop production been so low and our expenses been so high. In today’s world, agriculture producers find themselves at an unfair disadvantage.

When the price of inputs, including repairs, labor, equipment, utilities, fuel, and transportation are on the rise, ag producers have no choice but to figure out how to absorb those costs.

While the commodities we produce are held hostage by the markets, there is also nowhere we can pass along these increasing expenses. All these rising costs catch momentum as they travel downhill, and America’s farmers and ranchers are at the bottom of that hill as we brace ourselves for their full impact.

We’ve all heard the saying that “a country that cannot feed itself, cannot secure itself”. But what does that actually mean? In short, it means the more we depend on other countries to produce the things we can produce in this country, the more vulnerable we become to relying on other countries to provide us with what might arguably be the most important thing any of us do on a daily basis: eat. If we don’t have a reliable, plentiful, and safe food supply, we are ALL in trouble.

It’s easy to take for granted when we go to the grocery store or visit our favorite restaurant, that the food we want is readily available, safe, and affordable. But I think there are very few of us who stop to think about all the factors at play to make possible this seemingly endless supply of food. Let me explain.

A farmer begins with the land. Next, he uses a tractor to pull an implement that tills the soil, followed by a different implement to level the soil before planting. Next, after ordering and receiving the seed, grown by a seed dealer who uses the same process to produce the seed, he plants it in the ground with a targeted plant population and specific depth in the soil. He then uses either chemical or mechanical cultivation to control weeds in the field.

Finally, he uses a machine designed specifically to harvest the crop. He then dumps the crop into a trailer, pulled by a semi-truck, which then transports it to either a grain elevator or on-farm storage, where the grain needs to be kept at a specific temperature and moisture content before being shipped to a miller or processor.

All this goes without even mentioning the resources spent to create and maintain the science, consistency, and production of food products we see on the shelves. The customer is still many steps away at this point, but you get the picture. Each part of the process requires significant capital, management of resources, time, fuel, and repair expenses.

So why does all this matter? It matters because farmers cannot produce food without the help of many different industries. Many modern machines are so technologically advanced (thanks largely to emission regulations), their repair requires highly skilled technicians.

Every part on every machine in the entire food chain eventually wears out or breaks and needs replacing. Through the cooperation of many different manufacturers from across the country, these parts are built and shipped, and done so in a manner that does not interrupt the flow of food products to the consumer. That, in itself, is quite remarkable.

The overlaying message to all of this is that the energy industry is the foundation that keeps all these parts moving harmoniously. Energy, despite its horrific label in today’s political climate, is perhaps the single biggest reason American farmers and food processors can produce the safest and most abundant food supply in the world.

From the manufacture of parts to their shipping; from parts like belts and tires that are a byproduct of the energy industry to the technicians that arrive at the farm to diagnose problems; from the production of grain and cattle to the transportation of those commodities; from the equipment used to process grains to converting them to food products we enjoy, the energy industry is the backbone that allows for this seamless process to continually feed America and the world.

But what does the public and Washington bureaucrats see? Dirty oil rigs, greasy workers, pollution and carbon emissions, of course! To be reasonable, I think we can all agree that we can always do better. That’s what American innovation has always been about. I’m not against, nor have I ever met anyone who is against, clean energy. We should constantly strive to learn and improve in nearly everything we do.

But at what point do we declare that government regulation is often much more of a problem than it is a solution? I am not arguing against all regulation, just merely over-regulation. Washington continues to try to legislate nearly every aspect of our lives. Don’t believe me? Look at every label on nearly everything. Do we really have to tell people they should remove their child from the baby stroller before they attempt to fold it?

On our farm, we burn tens of thousands of gallons of diesel fuel each year.

This cost alone has nearly tripled in just one year, and we are left trying to figure out how to offset or absorb this inflationary cost. I’m sure Washington would tell me to buy an electric tractor. While that’s a nice thought, how can I justify that cost when profits are already nonexistent because of inflated costs across the board?

Furthermore, what’s the solution when I’m 30 miles from the farm in the middle of the night when the battery needs charged? Or when my electric combine needs charged when I’m racing against a pending storm?

Through a series of extremely poor energy policies, the Biden administration is creating an environment that will produce dire consequences for American consumers, business owners and agriculture producers. Just as we should demand that the food we eat is produced on American soil, we must also demand that the energy we consume is produced in our own country.

Not only does the United States contain some of the best farmland in the world, it also happens to contain some of the largest natural gas and oil reserves in the world. Utilizing these resources at home can do nothing but bolster our entire economy and strengthen our communities. When business and people thrive, the government is a direct beneficiary. It’s truly a win-win for everyone.

As American citizens, despite our political affiliation, we must not continue to allow this administration to further erode our way of life. It is critical that we nurture and promote calculated investments in domestic oil production by the federal government.

Additionally, the cohesion and cooperation between the energy and agriculture sectors are essential to the survival of our communities and our economy in Wyoming and in this country. It is time we stand as a unified voice, and it is our responsibility as citizens to demand common sense policies that can benefit us all.

After FTX's Sudden Collapse, Crypto Billionaires are Now Dying Under Mysterious Circumstances Around the World

"Four crypto oligarchs have died in recent weeks, some of them under mysterious or odd circumstances."

Kyle Becker

Sam Bankman-Fried first captured headlines in the wake of crypto platform FTX's spectacular fall from grace just two days after the national election.

Bankman-Fried, an enigmatic wunderkind deeply implicated in a multi-billion dollar scam run by his uber-connected girlfriend Caroline Ellison at hedge fund Alameda Research, just so happens to have been the number two donor to the Biden campaign during his successful 2020 election bid. The FTX CEO stood to become the biggest donor to the Democratic Party in 2024 by planning to blow at least a billion dollars on their election.

It appears to have earned SBF some political capital in D.C.: Maxine Waters has conveniently declined to subpoena fallen crypto king Sam Bankman-Fried before Congress. The absence of criminal prosecution of SBF has been accompanied by a lack of political accountability, as well as a surreal media rehabilitation tour.

But as the U.S. Congress, and indeed, the whole world, deliberates about what to do about the financial earthquake ensuing from the ominously timed FTX collapse, there have been quieter tremors around the crypto world.

Four crypto oligarchs have died in recent weeks, some of them under mysterious or odd circumstances. Three of these crypto wizards were "billionaires," at least on digital paper. One of them was a multi-millionaire that was considered the 'biggest crypto scammer in Spain.'

The deadly fate of Nikolai Mushegian has been the most striking tale to capture the public's imagination. A crypto entrepreneur with a penchant for paranoia, the twenty-nine year old washed up on a beach in Puerto Rico. He was discovered by a surfer at Ashford Beach on October 29, fully clothed and still carrying his wallet.

Nikolai Mushegian.

Hours before his death, he tweeted a cryptic message: "CIA and Mossad and pedo elite are running some kind of sex trafficking entrapment blackmail ring out of Puerto Rico and Caribbean islands. They are going to frame me with a laptop planted by my ex [girlfriend] who was a spy. They will torture me to death."

Mushegian was an early developer of Maker DAO, which was the largest decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol and he was a key architect of stablecoin systems — currencies without government backing. He was petrified of the world banking elite, whom he often railed against.

His mother, however, insists that his death was not the result of 'foul play.' But an anonymous friend told the New York Post that he's not so sure.

“He had mental problems,” said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “He saw a psychiatrist at times. He smoked a lot of pot. A tremendous amount.”

“Some of his paranoia was based on fact,” the source added. “He’d discover things. He knew things. Nikolai got bored a lot with the mundane of life. He’d go after things, constantly putting himself in weird positions. It wasn’t for the money. He was interested in why things were the way they were and the corruption behind it.”

Another sordid case that has fueled speculation about a 'crypto purge' is that of Russian oligarch Vyacheslav Taran. On November 25, 2022, Taran died in a helicopter crash near his home in southeastern France.

"The Russian Embassy confirms the death of Vyacheslav Taran in a helicopter crash that occurred on Friday in the area of Villefranche-sur-Mer commune," Alexander Makogonov, a spokesman for the Russian Embassy in Paris, told the state news agency TASS. "Representatives of the Russian Consulate in Villefranche-sur-Mer are staying in touch with the family of the deceased to settle all administrative matters."

French public broadcaster France Bleu wrote in a November 25 report that the crash occurred in "very mild" weather. The downed helicopter was an Airbus H130, a multimillion-dollar 'top-of-the-line' touring aircraft. Taran was 53-year-old and was considered at one point to be worth $20 billion.

Then there is the case of Javier Biosca, a 50-year-old man who has been dubbed the 'biggest crypto scammer in Spain.' While he wasn't a billionaire, he resided at a spectacular mansion in Marbella, where he paid $15,000 a month in rent. He is reputed to have installed four safety deposit boxes and leased several luxury cars.

Javier Biosca.

Biosca was a digital currency guru who is reputed to have swindled 300 Spanish investors and was harassed persistently by international mafias.

In an in-depth profile at El Pais, it was reported that Biosca was "an uncharismatic, quiet fellow – presented himself as a digital currency expert."

But his crypto grifting eventually ran him afoul of unsavory characters who were more than capable of ending his scams for good.

“He lived in anguish that the Russian and Bulgarian gangsters whom he had defrauded would kill him,” explained one attorney. “We believe that [the money] is still in the hands of his wife and son. She was the one who handled the codes and had access to the money."

Biosca jumped from a balcony to his death on November 22.

That brings us to the case of Tiantian Kullander, the co-founder of Amber Group, who died suddenly 'in his sleep' on November 23. Kullander was only 30 years old.

Tiantian Kullander.

Crypto News reported that the Hong Kong based businessman — known to his friends and family as “TT” — launched Amber Group along with a group of pals from Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley in 2017.

According to the New York Post, news of Kullander's death comes as Amber Group was on the cusp of landing a big investment, and was reportedly in the process of raising around $100 million.

Amber Group, which is based in Singapore, didn't not reveal in its statement where Kullander had passed away. Kullander was reported to be worth around $3 billion.

If these deaths were taken alone, then it would be easy to designate any one of them as an odd coincidence. But when a cluster of deaths arises around significant events like the FTX collapse, and amid rising calls for crypto regulation, then international observers are right to ask questions.

The Parallel Universe of the CCP and the World Economic Forum

Two fronts of the same irregular war.

December 8, 2022 by Scott S. Powell

cwef1-750x420.jpg

For decades Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum (WEF) has been recruiting and cultivating corporate and political leaders from all over the world to embrace a vision and plan for a complete social, political, and economic transformation—a “Great Reset”—which is nothing short of a communist “New World Order.” This plan calls for the end of sovereign states; the end of private property and the remaking of the economy based on environmental, social, and governance rankings; the replacement of oil and gas with so-called green and sustainable sources of energy; the transformation of agricultural production; the replacement of traditional money with social credit score-linked digital currency; and the requirement of universal health passports—to name some of the key WEF objectives.

After the G20 meeting in Indonesia on November 15-16, 2022, WEF chairman Klaus Schwab broadcast on CGTN TV that “the Chinese model is certainly a very attractive model…” For Schwab, China is the model because the totality of its social controls is what is needed to facilitate the Great Reset and consummate the New World Order. So, let’s recap the main elements of the Chinese model and then examine the correlation to the WEF program.

China is a one-party state ruled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), which now has the distinction, along with North Korea, of having the most complete totalitarian control over its people of any state in all human history. The CCP has now accomplished:
  • the near total control of peoples’ thinking and knowledge of history through state control of schools, the internet, and all media
  • the control of people’s behavior through a digital currency controlled by the state with accounts for every Chinese citizen—accounts that the government can turn off when account holder’s social credit score drops or when the account holder travels outside a zone prescribed by government
  • the control of people by requiring universal health passports
  • the control of people by way of wall-to-wall facial-recognition camera surveillance
The China model has also embraced a “zero-Covid” policy, wherein citizens have been put under virtual house arrest for months, making it impossible to even go out to buy food—all for the cause of achieving zero Covid cases. The world just got a glimpse of the powder keg that is China when the simmering grievances against this draconian zero-Covid policy erupted in unprecedented street protests all over the country on November 25, 2022, after ten people burned alive in a high-rise apartment in the city of Urumqui. These deaths were the direct result of government officials carrying out the zero-Covid policy of enforced quarantines that that included welding apartment doors shut to prevent escape.

Diverse countries from Canada, Holland and Germany to Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka have all experienced severe injury from policies implemented by their respective political leaders who have been groomed through Schwab and his Young Global Leaders program.

In Canada, it is well known that Prime Minster Justin Trudeau is one of Klaus Schwab’s most favored young leaders. In 2017 Klaus Schwab had a reception for Justin Trudeau, in which he said, “we penetrate the cabinets…and I know that half his cabinet are actually [WEF] Young Global Leaders.”

Canadian policies appear to have come right out of the WEF playbook.

Obsessed with climate change and the achievement of zero emissions, Trudeau has imposed a carbon tax, and ordered farmers to reduce fertilizers by 30% use by 2030. Trudeau also signed the Known Traveler Digital ID program—a WEF initiative—without the Canadian people’s consent. Trudeau’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Chrystia Freeland is all in, co-chairing a WEF Zoom meeting in December 2020 to convey that goals after the pandemic should revolve around restructuring society, canceling oil, and gas development, and censoring the internet. In 2022 Freeland was in lockstep with the WEF during the Canadian trucker’s protest, when she shut down the corporate and personal bank accounts of truckers and donors to the trucker protest.

In Germany, Angela Merkel was recognized as a leader by Klaus Schwab in the late 1990s and remained prominent within the WEF during her 16-year stint as Chancellor of Germany. In 2011 she upended Germany’s energy makeup, shuttering coal power plants (supplying 50% of Germany’s power), phasing out nuclear power plants (supplying 23%), and accelerating wind and solar renewable energy. As a result, today Germany faces the self-inflicted disaster of unprecedented energy shortages and dramatic price increases, causing Germany’s two largest steel manufacturers to close operations, along with the closure of paper and glass manufacturers. Now Germany’s showcase automotive industry is at risk.

In the Netherlands, Prime Minster Mark Rutte was recognized as a promising global leader by Klaus Schwab by about 2017—when Rutte was entering his third term. In 2020 he was chosen to host the flagship event of WEF’s Food Action Alliance called the European Food Innovation Hub. The following year WEF’s European Food Hub project was funded by the Dutch government and established in Wageningen, The Netherlands.

In June 2022, Rutte’s ruling coalition announced the requirement for Holland to cut emissions of pollutants—predominantly fertilizers made up of nitrogen oxide and ammonia—by 50% by 2030. When it was learned that would require dramatic livestock reduction and the closing of thousands of farms, Dutch farmers took to the streets like Canadian truckers, only in their tractors, shutting down commerce and traffic on highways for months. Unfazed by these disruptive protests, the Rutte government has pushed ahead, and announced it will buy out, and seize, if necessary, some 3000 farms.

Why should this happen in Holland, the number two exporter (after the U.S.) of agricultural products in the world? One Dutch legislator who filed a FOI request for correspondence between Dutch Government officials and Klaus Schwab between 2016 and 2021 thinks that evidence shows that Holland’s priorities and policies shifted and became aligned with WEF’s initiative to “transform the way food is produced, supplied and consumed.”

On the other side of the world, Klaus Schwab and the WEF have made major inroads with the ruling class in both Australia and New Zealand.

The record and content of email between Australia Prime Minister Scott Morrison and Klaus Schwab from 2018-2022 obtained by a Freedom of Information filing with the Australian government suggests that Morrison is acting as a proxy to WEF’s “Great Reset.” Morrison admits, “Australia…sees close alignment between the WEF and Australia’s trade and investment policy priorities…”

Jacinda Ardern, the present prime minister of New Zealand was first elected MP in 2008 when she was twenty-eight, the same year she was elected to be the president of the International Union of Socialist Youth, a role which also took her on a China visit. She was first chosen for the WEF Young Global Leaders program in 2014. In her first term as prime minister, Ardern was faced with making leadership decisions as Covid-19 arrived in New Zealand in late February 2020. Her draconian lockdown policies were among the most severe among nations—so much so that some charged her with purposely trying to see just how much control a “democracy” could hold over the people. In November 2020 correspondence to Arden, Klaus Schwab wrote, “The Forum will work closely with your office to ensure… the ensuing Great Reset process are of maximum value to your country and its role in shaping the post-Covid-19 world.”

Sri Lanka, a lush country of rice paddies and banana plantations, was in the news last July when its president, Gotabaya Rajapaska, fled the country after riots and chaos erupted over inflation, shortages of food, power blackouts, and the government’s bankruptcy. It turns out that Rajapaska was the fall guy, for he left Sri Lanka in the hands of the prime minister, Ranil Wickremesinghe, the devoted “Member and Agenda Coordinator for WEF,” who was the chief architect of the green energy transition that had brought on the collapse after banning nitrogen-based fertilizers and curtailing fossil fuel use in Sri Lanka.

The average Sri Lankan was clueless, but the government under Wickremesinghe didn’t miss a beat amid the crisis—implementing a nationwide QR code digital ID to facilitate a national fuel rationing scheme. All of this would be considered unbelievable fiction for a country whose long history never included a food crisis or shortage, if so many Sri Lankan people’s lives weren’t in fact devastated and destroyed by misguided policies from WEF elites.

It’s really past the time that people recognize that the elite capture, influence, and control from Chinese communists and that of the clubby cult of Klaus Schwab and the WEF are two fronts of the same irregular war. If they are not rejected and stopped freedom will be lost.

The coming crash of the Climate Cult

By Viv Forbes

The Climate Cult worships two green idols: electric vehicles and wind-solar energy. This is part of a futile U.N. scheme promoting "Net Zero Emissions," which aims to cool the climate of the world by waging war on CO2 plant food.

Green worship is the state religion of all Western nations. It is promoted by billionaires with other agendas and endlessly repeated by the U.N., the bureaucracy, all government media, state education, and most big business leaders.

The promotion of electric cars and trucks will cause a great increase in the demand for electricity to replace diesel, petrol, and gas.

We live beside a major highway in Queensland, Australia, and we can hear the roar of the traffic.

The road is quiet at night, but as day dawns, the real workers start moving — big diesel trucks off to pick up the day's loads of gravel, machinery, cattle, tanks, pipes, hay, timber, bricks, and concrete. Then comes the traffic that sustains urban life: meat vans, milk tankers, and refrigerated trucks of produce to fill supermarket shelves every day. Around sunrise come the commuters heading for city jobs, and the city's electric trains, elevators, and escalators start to run. Then kids are delivered to school, and sirens announce the occasional passing of ambulances, fire engines, and police bikes and cars.

Finally, the tree-change bureaucrats cruise past in their electric cars, heading for their leisurely staggered starts. By 9 A.M., the traffic falls off.

To achieve net-zero nirvana, all of this early-morning traffic rush must be battery-powered. Untold thousands of batteries will need to be fully charged overnight — well before the vast paddocks of Chinese solar panels can deliver one amp of green electricity.

Listen here (.27 min) to Australia's new prime minister during the recent election campaign explaining how rooftop solar will charge all those Tesla batteries overnight.

Australia's reliable coal/gas power stations could charge batteries overnight, while city demand for electricity is lower, but the green religion demands closure and demolition of anything using hydro-carbons. Green engineers have the solution: intermittent wind power plus big batteries will recharge millions of vehicle batteries before dawn.

But what keeps trains, elevators, hospitals, and refrigerators going if we have a still night followed by another cloudy day? More batteries or Snowy 9 Pumped Hydro? And if the still cloudy weather continues, what will recharge the Big Batteries and re-pump the hydros? And will Greens apply the same conservation standards and delaying tactics to wind, solar, hydro, and power line construction that they now apply to coal mines?

The Queensland premier has a $62-billion green plan to close all coal power stations, cover the countryside with wind/solar clutter, plan whole cities of battery charging stations, build the "world's biggest" pumped-hydro batteries (net consumers of electricity), and become a world leader in "green hydrogen" (huge consumers of electricity and water). Soon after the last coal power plant is demolished, in a snap of still, cold, cloudy weather, the lights will go out, electric trains will stop, and battery-powered food deliveries to the cities will falter. There will be uproar in Parliaments, and all Green/Teal/ALP governments will fall. The media will blame "climate change."
7_74_19.gif

Energy Realists will take over. They will immediately place orders for dozens of modular nuclear power plants.

But this energy reality will come too late. Long lines of city-dwellers with bicycles, wheelbarrows and old diesel utes will flee from the hungry cities.

Credit here. Feel free to use this cartoon with no alterations.

Some of these power refugees may get jobs harvesting potatoes and onions with digging forks, milking cows by hand, or plucking and cleaning chooks.
Re-powering and rebuilding will take decades.

All this for zero climate benefits — the world has passed the peak of this interglacial, and the next long glacial cycle is edging closer.

Viv Forbes started his life with candles, kerosene lights, and a wood-burning stove. His parents milked cows and harvested corn by hand.

Draft horses pulled ploughs, harrows, mowers, and hay rakes. (These skills may be needed again soon.) Later, things improved with pressure lanterns, carbide lamps, and then electric lights from 16 x 2 volt batteries on the veranda, charged by a diesel engine at the cow yard. But the greatest change of all was when 240-volt power lines marched up to the house and allowed whole rooms to be flooded with brilliant electric light — clean coal by wire. Then came kerosene tractors to replace all those hay-burning horses. What used to feed horses now fed cattle, pigs, sheep and humans. This caused a dramatic increase in the farm's surplus of food.

FUSION POWERRIDICULAE

World Economic Forum: Hydrogen Boron Nuclear Fusion Anticipated by 2030

Essay by Eric Worrall

Are greens replacing fantasies of energy sources which don’t work, with fantasies of energy sources which don’t exist?

For a clean energy future, our relationship to the grid must change. Here’s how
Jul 15, 2022
  • Outdated domestic power grids are currently unable to integrate necessary renewable energy sources.
  • As we transition to a carbon-free society we need to transform the way we power and manage the grid.
  • Future grids that capitalize on the potential of distributed energy resources can help flatten the demand curve.
Our current domestic power grids are woefully inept to integrate necessary renewable energy sources – plagued by ageing, outdated technology and a regulatory structure that hampers the ability to upgrade the critical infrastructure required. In the US alone, the power grid operates at about 40% efficiency.

The answer to solving this problem lies within a new approach to electricity: one that focuses on optimizing the way customers and their technologies interact with the grid. The devastating effects of climate change demand that we take our next steps without introducing more pollution and unsustainable demand on extracted resources.

A possible path forward
Enabling software and other technologies have only recently emerged, so there’s much to do to realize the potential of this future grid that capitalizes on the potential of DERs. Utility planning capabilities, regulatory structures, and business models are all in the very early stages. One critical requirement will be some type of central registry that classifies assets by type and significant characteristics, (e.g. the what, where, when, and the capacity and energy that can be offered). Each aggregator contract would tie it to specific assets, with that relationship documented in the registry. A permissioned-based approach, supported by appropriate grid architecture, would regulate both communications flows and hierarchy of behaviours (e.g. if a battery is contracted to support the grid, it must be available – it can’t have recently sold its energy for another purpose).

Our relationship to the grid – and how we power and manage it – must change. In the past, creating electricity has typically been an environmentally damaging endeavour – whether it’s extracting and burning coal, or harnessing the power of nuclear fission while creating radioactive waste. Powering our future also means developing sustainable, non-polluting energy that can withstand surges in demand and has more consistent availability than solar and wind power. Hydrogen-boron fusion energy is being developed at TAE Technologies to meet and exceed current demand, without burning coal or creating nuclear waste, with an anticipated date of 2030. The technology will be carbon-free and offer a new, vast supply of energy.

Read more: For a clean energy future, our relationship to the grid must change. Here's how

A 2030 timetable for hydrogen boron fusion seems absurdly optimistic.

Hydrogen Boron fusion in theory would be far cleaner than deuterium tritium fusion, because it is one of a class of relatively clean “a-neutronic fusion” reactions. But hydrogen boron is just under 10x more difficult than deuterium tritium fusion, which in my opinion puts hydrogen boron fusion well into fantasy land, with anything resembling current levels of technology.

How Will You Prepare for the Climate Lockdowns, Digital IDs and Travel Restrictions?

DECEMBER 7, 2022
By Derrick Broze

The following is a preview of “Fighting Lockdowns, Immunity Passports, and Travel Restrictions”, a chapter from the upcoming 2nd edition of How To Opt-Out of the Technocratic State. Order your copy beginning December 12, 2022!In this chapter, I will focus on lockdowns, immunity or vaccine passports, and various travel restrictions. We will discuss how to prepare for these strategies, which are sure to be used against us again. First, let’s define what is meant by “lockdown” in relation what we saw the last two years. Incidentally, lockdown is a term used in correctional institutions to punish disobedient prisoners. Generally speaking, a lockdown involved the forced closure of businesses and schools, travel restrictions, and in the worst cases, limited ability to leave one’s home. The lockdowns were a convenient way to silence critics of COVID-19 policies by shutting down mass protests, as well as another method for advancing the technocratic digital dystopia. The forced closing of schools and businesses gave various industries an opportunity to sell surveillance technology like facial-recognition cameras in an alleged effort to fight the spread of COVID-19.

Even with the days of COVID-1984 appearing to be fading away, we must remember that lockdowns will be used again. In fact, as early as September 2020, the term “climate lockdown” was used by Mariana Mazzucato, Professor in the Economics of Innovation and Public Value at University College London, and Chair of the World Health Organization’s Council on the Economics of Health for All. Mazzucato wrote:

Under a “climate lockdown,” governments would limit private-vehicle use, ban consumption of red meat, and impose extreme energy-saving measures, while fossil-fuel companies would have to stop drilling. To avoid such a scenario, we must overhaul our economic structures and do capitalism differently.

It should be clear that, regardless of the reason advanced, the lockdown tactic will be utilized again. Thankfully, though, this is another area where COVID-1984 validated Konkin’s theories on counter-economics. As a result the closing of schools and businesses, more people sought products and services in the gray and black markets. For example, in the Chapter 10, I wrote about the nexus between the Freedom Cell Network and the homeschooling community.

This community experienced a huge boost in response to the restrictive policies at schools and the push to conduct classes via electronic media.

People felt the crunch of the state and the unpalatable education options, and opted to pursue an alternative outside of the state’s control. This is a perfect example of a legal counter-economic move within the gray market.

Another affirmation of Konkin’s theories pertains to freedom to travel. Travel restrictions imposed by governments and airlines led to the near-instantaneous creation of a counter-economy for forged versions of vaccination cards and PCR test results, which were needed to cross most international borders. Many people began sharing paper versions of vaccination proof from a number of different countries. Some people even sold actual official CDC cards that had been leaked by someone on the inside.

I heard rumors that some visitors to Mexico used an easily-forged negative PCR test document to avoid having the real test probes shoved up their nostrils.

This illustrates the benefit of employing the Exit and Build strategy in nations that are “behind” in terms of technology and the advancing Technocratic State.

Mexico, parts of Central and South America, and areas of Africa fit into this category, whereas most of the “modern” world has already succumbed to the reality of the Internet of Things, in which paper documents are rapidly disappearing. Building a life and community in the so-called developing world can at least buy space and time to mount a defense against the encroaching global Technocracy.

Some will argue that individuals who choose to use fake vaccination cards or PCR tests are tacitly condoning or participating in these systems. While I absolutely think this is a sound and logical argument, I also do my best not to judge the choices made by others in such times of high stress and intensity. However, now that we have seen what possibilities lie in front of us we ought to consider what we will do next time.

Imagine at the moment you are reading these words that the Great Reset plan is in a temporary pause, or as some see it, we are in the eye of the storm—the calm, if you will. There’s no way to know how much time you have, and it’s important not to live in fear or panic. It’s also important to recognize that the more steps you are taking to move away from the Technocratic State, the less reason there is to be in a state of anxiety. On the other hand, if you are fully aware of the situation we face and are choosing not to take action, well, that might be a reason to feel overwhelmed. Staying free is not easy, and it will require time, energy, money, and commitment.

So what will you do to prepare for a climate lockdown or another staged pandemic?

What Americans Must Do to Stop the Great Reset

by Mark Schwendau
December 7, 2022

There was a very good article posted online earlier this year titled “11 things you can do to help stop the great reset”. The article was posted to a website that should be getting greater following these days, StoppingSocialism.com.

The article was written by Justin Haskins, editor-in-chief of StoppingSocialism.com, a New York Times bestselling author, and the director of the Socialism Research Center at The Heartland Institute.

His article has been weighing heavy on my mind as it is time for our political leaders and American patriots to go even further than his list of 11 offered. In brief, his list included what most Americans can do right now:
  1. Live Not by Lies
  2. Buy Local
  3. Bank Local
  4. Support Local Farms
  5. Be Vocal
  6. Run for Local Government
  7. Demand That Your State Pass Laws Against ESG Scores
  8. Make Responsible Spending a Key Issue for Politicians
  9. Organize Anti-Great Reset Groups
  10. Buy Property and Diversify
  11. Make the Great Reset a Litmus Test for Politicians
A 12th one I could have added – “Boycott Advertisers Who Support Globalist Broadcast Networks and News Publications” – makes for a perfect circle back to his first one of “Live Not by Lies.”

Americans generally have blind faith, which can be either a good thing or a bad thing. If you have blind faith in God and Christ, that is a good thing. But still, they do not expect us to sit on our hands as passive sheep and do nothing in the face of adverse times. If you have blind faith in your government and the mainstream news media to give you direction in life these days, that is a very bad thing.

The world seemingly is at war, and the roots of that war which did not exist two years ago when Donald Trump was President seems to be the New World Order (NWO) Globalist Elites kicking their Great Reset plan into hyper-overdrive since the unexpected election of President Trump in 2016. Working from the premise America is at war, the following actions need to be taken immediately by any political leader, military personnel, or civilian who can make them happen:
  1. County Sheriffs need to organize what I would term “Patriot Protection Patrols” to protect food sources, fuel sources, power grid sources, and, if necessary, county lines. These sheriffs and County State Attorneys need to inform the public that their counties will be the opposite of a sanctuary county for any criminal looking to disrupt the American way of life relative to food, shelter, housing, and energy. Any such individuals engaging in these acts will be considered the enemy within and most probably not make it to a jury trial.
  2. Local citizen groups need to start to meet to plan for the dire consequences of disruption of such things as the supply chain or power grid. To be organized with a multi-level plan of action in the event the unexpected were to occur is essential.
  3. Local citizen groups need to come up with reliable local news channels since so many of our local, state, and national news sources are now obviously compromised and no longer trustworthy. Simply meeting weekly or monthly to discuss what you have learned and know to be true from personal experience and others’ experiences could become invaluable.
  4. Local citizens need to develop a communications plan in the event the Internet, and cell phone towers are taken offline to facilitate a rapid takeover of our country. No doubt local broadcast radio and television stations will be pumping a false narrative whereby you can believe the opposite of whatever they say.
  5. American politicians and the mainstream media need to be put on notice by the National Rifle Association (NRA) that any form of mass “red flag” gun confiscation will be deemed unacceptable and treated as an instantaneous act of war. Americans will not be boarding any boxcars to work camps without inflicting a heavy loss of life on those who want to execute such a plan.
  6. Local entrepreneurs need to withhold business advertising dollars from any local radio, television, newspaper, or social media platforms (Google, YouTube, and Facebook) if they demonstrate a bias against conservative American patriots and towards liberal socialist enemies within.
  7. Local military units of divisions such as the State Guards need to be briefed on expectations if they are given orders that contradict their mission of protecting the local citizenry or violate the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Any commanding officer who gives an order that is going to compromise private citizens should be investigated right up the chain of command to get to the specific source of such an order.
  8. Local elections need to be conducted by paper ballot with ID, with absentee ballots only used for those with doctor-verified health issues and those in our military on duty. Workplaces must give workers time off to go vote in person.
  9. The Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been compromised and need to be informed that now would be a good time for them to start enforcing the law equally for both Democrats and Republicans or suffer the future consequences. Some politicians have already called for the defunding and gutting of the FBI. All people who work for these two agencies should be apolitical.
  10. “Follow the money” is the motto that took down Chicago mobster Al Capone and that criminal investigation scenario needs to now be played out with the new 87,000 IRS agents just recently hired by the Joe Biden Administration. For starters, they need to be ordered to track any political leader with a net value greater than a million dollars. The Obamas need investigation since their net worth is reported to have gone up from just 3 million in 2008 to over 70 million today, as has recently circulated social media platforms.
To that last point: Anybody with a brain knows the IRS should be going after the big fish in the sea and not the little fish with stupid 1099-K forms for online craft sales greater than $600! The Pelosi, Clinton, and Biden families should also be targeted. The Trump family had their net value go down during the four years Donald Trump held our highest office, so he should get a free pass just for being illegally stalked and harassed by the Democrats.

CONCLUSION:
Now is not the time for American patriots to commit violent acts such as going to our political leaders’ homes with hammers in hand. Now is the time to organize, plan, and get vocal. Now is the time to peacefully and legally push back and push back hard against the narrative.

Special Report: Propaganda Czar Soros Bankrolls 253 Groups to Influence Global Media

JOSEPH VAZQUEZ AND DAN SCHNEIDER| DECEMBER 6, 2022 | 1:12PM EST

(MRC Business)

(MRC Business)

The following special report was produced by MRC Business, a division of the Media Research Center, the parent organization of CNS News.com.

Executive Summary

Leftist billionaire George Soros used his charities to build ties with hundreds of media organizations around the world involved in news and activist media.

The journalism and activist media groups Soros supports mold public opinion on practically every continent and in many languages. They also insulate him from inquiry because reporters see him as an ally, not a target for investigation.

The 92-year-old philanthropist’s multimillion-dollar efforts promoting his bizarre “open society” agenda encompass some of the most radical leftist ideas on abortion, Marxist economics, anti-Americanism, defunding the police, environmental extremism and LGBT fanaticism.

His global media clout is massive. An extensive analysis by MRC Business discovered at least 253 news and activist media organizations across the world financed by Soros’ philanthropic organizations. These groups wield massive power over information in international politics.

This report is the first in a three-part series that reveals the extent of the reach Soros wields over international media to influence the world population. Soros once told The New York Times that he was working to “bend” the arc of history “in the right direction.” He means it.

Project Syndicate: A Global Soros-Funded Behemoth
There is no publication that exemplifies Soros’ hold on the global media more than Project Syndicate, self-dubbed “The World’s Opinion Page.
  • A Global Propaganda Operation. The publication boasts a “global audience” that includes “prominent politicians, policymakers, scholars, business leaders, and civic activists from six continents” and “over 140 heads of state.” Project Syndicate claimed its commentaries appeared an amazing 20,393 times in 156 countries in 2021 alone. Soros’ OSF funneled at least $1,532,105 to Project Syndicate between 2016 and 2020. The outlet promoted everything from abortion to global climate lockdowns to hatred against Israel. It also influences White House propaganda.
Poynter Institute: A Global Soros-Backed Ministry of Truth
The Poynter Institute has devolved from a premier outlet for journalistic training to another leftist media outlet.
  • Poynter Is Soros’ ‘Gold Standard’ for Liberal Journalism Gatekeeping. Poynter sells itself as a “global leader in journalism” and as the “gold standard” to emphasize its influence. Soros gave $492,000 to finance Poynter’s leftist International Fact-Checking Network between 2016 and 2020. The network works with 100 so-called fact-checking organizations worldwide, distinguishing itself as a de facto Ministry of Truth. Poynter’s fact-checking operation restricts opinions on issues like abortion, “transgenderism,” COVID-19 and Marxist economics. IFCN signatories like Lead Stories, Poynter’s own PolitiFact and Agence-France Presse, actively work with Big Tech platforms like Facebook and its sister company Instagram to boost their “fact-checking” operations to censor users.
openDemocracy: Soros’ Leftist Global Journalism Operation
Through the leftist U.K.-based openDemocracy, Soros works to control journalism worldwide.
  • openDemocracy Is a Cesspool of Leftist Extremism. OSF gave at least $1,633,457 to openDemocracy between 2016 and 2020. The outlet pushes extreme leftist content masquerading as journalism. It promotes transgender ideology in children, anti-Christian propaganda, calls for the abolishment of the nuclear family, climate radicalism and anti-Semitism. openDemocracy flaunts that it “attracts more than 11 million visits per year” and publishes “in Russian, Spanish and Portuguese as well as English.”
Free Press: ‘Socialism’ Restricting Conservative Speech
Free Press is activism disguised as journalism. It pushes to silence conservative speech.
  • Liberal Media Props Up Free Press’ Anti-American Mission. Free Press boasted how it received “3,200 press hits in places including the Associated Press, Bloomberg, CNN, Democracy Now!, The Guardian, The Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, NPR, Poynter and Wired” in 2021. Leftist Free Press co-founder Robert W. McChesney made a Marxist call to action in 2000 to “make media reform part of our broader struggle for democracy, social justice, and, dare we say it, socialism.”
Media Democracy Fund: A Soros-Funded Gargantuan Dedicated to Woke ‘Social Justice’

The Soros-funded Media Democracy Fund is a dark money operation at “the crossroads of digital technology and social justice.”
  • Media Democracy Fund Is a Money-Spewing Cog in Soros’ Sphere of Influence. It received $3,520,000 from Soros’ OSF between 2016 and 2020. Its so-called “Disinfo Defense League” (DDL) urges government to fund journalism, .“[t]o fully combat the problems of disinformation, hate and other malign practices online.” The fund pressured for “Congress to create a small percentage tax on the online advertising revenues of the largest online platforms,” DDL claimed.
National Public Radio: Soros and State Media
Soros’ media empire wouldn’t be complete without a connection to U.S. state media.
  • NPR Is Soros’ Taxpayer-Funded Radio Propaganda Mill. National Public Radio has proven to be a propaganda mill for Soros’ anti-American agenda. NPR received $600,000 from Soros’ foundations in 2016. NPR currently exploits a weekly audience of 48 million, according to NPR network exclusive sponsorship representative National Public Media. During the Aug. 1, 2022, edition of All Things Considered, NPR reporter Sergio Martinez-Beltran compared "hardline Republicans" pushing Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) to be stricter on immigration to the mass shooter at the El Paso Walmart in 2019.

Vanguard Drops Out Of Climate Initiative As Reaction Against Woke Investing Continues

By Ben Zeisloft
Dec 7, 2022 DailyWire.com

Vanguard will no longer participate in the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative as lawmakers and the broader marketplace scrutinize the company’s support of the environmental, social, and governance movement, also known as ESG.

Signatories of the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative promise to move portfolio companies closer to eliminating net carbon emissions by 2050 or sooner. Vanguard will withdraw from the initiative to “provide the clarity our investors desire about the role of index funds and about how we think about material risks, including climate-related risks,” according to a statement.

The move occurred hours after officials in the state of Texas announced a hearing over asset managers’ purported mismanagement of taxpayer dollars driven by ideological motives. Last week, multiple attorneys general filed motions with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission seeking to prevent Vanguard from purchasing shares in publicly traded utilities out of a concern that the company’s climate efforts would raise energy prices and decrease grid reliability.

“Vanguard realized their entire business model could be at stake if they didn’t stop coordinating with other members to drive up energy costs,” Consumers’ Research Executive Director Will Hild, whose organization also filed a motion with the agency, remarked in a statement provided to The Daily Wire. “We’ve struck a serious blow to the anti-consumer ESG agenda and we are going to keep fighting until these asset managers and banks get back to fulfilling their fiduciary duties and stop playing politics with other people’s money.”

A number of Republican state governments have recently divested from prominent asset managers over concerns that the companies’ voting priorities are driven by political ideology rather than the maximization of returns.

Following divestments from South Carolina, Louisiana, Missouri, West Virginia, and Utah, the state of Florida revealed plans last week to remove $2 billion from BlackRock next year.

There exists evidence of a broader market backlash against asset managers’ leverage of proxy voting to advance executives’ preferred social and political views. An exclusive poll from The Daily Wire showed earlier this year that 64% of respondents believe “individual investors whose savings are being invested” should decide whether retirement and pension funds are allocated according to ESG standards, while 20% believe that “Wall Street asset managers” should make such decisions.

As the debate over the ESG movement continues to make headlines, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink announced last month that institutional clients would be able to vote their own shares rather than allow the company to act as a proxy. “It’s clear there are investors who don’t want to sit on the sidelines; they have a view on corporate governance, and they want a meaningful way to express those views,” the executive said.

Despite its dissociation from the Net Zero Asset Managers initiative, Vanguard affirmed that the move “will not affect our commitment to helping our investors navigate the risks that climate change can pose to their long-term returns.” The company manages $7 trillion in assets.

“Climate change, and the ongoing global response, will have far-reaching economic consequences for companies, financial markets, and investors, presenting a clear example of a material and multifaceted financial risk,” the statement continued. “Vanguard has been taking steps to understand and attend to this risk to investors’ returns, including through our engagements with portfolio companies, policymakers, and broader industry efforts.”

Texas subpoenas BlackRock to discover how much taxpayer money has been 'wasted in woke ESG funds' – as activist investor calls for CEO to resign over 'greenwashing'

  • Texas Senate committee subpoenaed ESG records of investment firm BlackRock
  • Firm is ordered to appear at December 15 hearing on trendy ESG investing
  • Republican lawmakers accuse firm of prioritizing social goals over returns
  • Some states have threatened to pull state pension investments over the issue
  • Meanwhile, activist investor Bluebell has the opposite criticism of BlackRock
  • Bluebell claims BlackRock is not going far enough in pursuing its ESG goals
By KEITH GRIFFITH FOR DAILYMAIL.COM and RETUERS

PUBLISHED: 15:10 EST, 7 December 2022 | UPDATED: 15:10 EST, 7 December 2022

The controversy over investment titan BlackRock's focus on environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues is heating up, after Texas state lawmakers subpoenaed the company's records in a probe into the issue.

The legislative subpoena, issued last month and reviewed by DailyMail.com on Wednesday, commands BlackRock to hand over documents related to its ESG strategy for a December 15 hearing of the Texas Senate's Committee on State Affairs.

It follows mounting criticism of BlackRock from Republican lawmakers and state officials, who accuse the firm of putting social and political goals ahead of earning returns for investors and retirement savers.

Texas State Senator Bryan Hughes, the Republican chair of the Texas committee, said that requests for the documents had been issued to BlackRock and three other major financial firms in August, but that 'some have provided more than others.'

'The Committee needs these documents to uncover the extent to which these firms have been playing politics using Texans’ hard earned money,' Hughes told DailyMail.com in a statement.

'We will not allow these firms to continue to use Texans’ money to force a narrow political agenda. They have a legal duty to put their investors’ interests first, and we intend to make sure they do,' he added.

Regarding the upcoming hearing, a BlackRock spokesperson told DailyMail.com: 'We look forward to continuing our engagement with the Committee to share BlackRock’s work on behalf of millions of investors.'

The Texas legislative subpoena requests a wide range of documents related to BlackRock's decision making and research into ESG investments and climate initiatives.

The ESG movement, and BlackRock's involvement, has recently become a rallying cry for Republicans on Capitol Hill, who are pushing for legislation to protect retirement and investment accounts from asset managers who prioritize ESG.

Meanwhile, an activist investor is taking aim at BlackRock with the opposite criticism, accusing longtime CEO Larry Fink of 'hypocrisy' on ESG issues for failing to push agenda-driven investing far enough.

Activist fund Bluebell Capital Partners wrote in a letter to Fink that BlackRock has 'alienated clients and attracted an undesired level of negative publicity' with the firm's ESG strategy.

The criticism from London-based Bluebell is the opposite of recent accusations by some Republican US lawmakers and state officials, who accuse BlackRock and Fink of putting sustainability goals ahead of earning returns.

According to Bluebell, BlackRock is not going far enough in pursuing its ESG goals and is failing to divest quickly enough from investments in fossil fuel, including coal.

1670480844502.png

Bluebell's letter warns of 'reputational risk (including greenwashing risk) to which BlackRock under the leadership of Larry Fink have unreasonably exposed the company.'

Bluebell has roughly $250 million in assets, and holds only a small stake in publicly traded BlackRock, which invests more than $8 trillion.

Giuseppe Bivona and Marco Taricco, Bluebell's partners, on November 10 wrote to Fink, who regularly advises world leaders and has taken a high-profile role in advocating for ESG investing, that they want to see someone else in the job.

The hedge fund also wants BlackRock to 'initiate a strategic review of (its) stance on ESG' and adopt other governance changes.

Bluebell owns 0.01 percent of BlackRock, which has a market capitalization of $106.7 billion, a person familiar with the stake said.

Bluebell is known for waging campaigns against prominent companies with very small investments, including one at Belgian chemical company Solvay where it wanted the board to address an environmental issue at its Rosignano, Italy, factory.

Bluebell said BlackRock has failed to support its requests.

'In the past 18 months, Bluebell has waged a number of campaigns to promote their climate and governance agenda,' a BlackRock spokesman said.

'BlackRock Investment Stewardship did not support their campaigns as we did not consider them to be in the best economic interests of our clients.'

Bluebell was founded in 2019 and has taken on companies including GlaxoSmithKline, Glencore, Vivendi and Danone, where it engineered the ouster of former CEO Emmanuel Faber.

'Fink clearly has political ambitions because it is not his job as chief executive of BlackRock to dictate energy policy,' Bivona told Reuters in an interview.

Fink's name has often been floated as a possible Cabinet member in Washington and the firm's executives are often consulted by policy makers.

While Bluebell said BlackRock's positions have hurt it with clients, the company reported pulling in $250 billion in net new assets in the first three quarters of 2022.

1670480976547.png

The Wall Street Journal first reported Bluebell's campaign at BlackRock.

Fink pens an annual letter to CEOs in January and has pushed corporations to see beyond profits.

BlackRock is Bluebell's most high-profile target yet, coming at a time more investors are paying attention to ESG factors.

Last week, Florida's chief financial officer said his department would pull $2 billion worth of its assets managed by BlackRock, the biggest such divestment by a state opposed to the asset manager's ESG policies.

Shares in BlackRock are down roughly 30 percent this year, underperforming the benchmark S&P 500 Index.

WATCH: James Lindsay reveals Marxist indoctrination in American schools

Educators "raise political literacy using regular academic lessons as mediators to a political conversation as the justification to have one."

The Post Millennial
Dec 7, 20223 Minute Read

Fresh off his reinstatement to Twitter, Dr. James Lindsay joined Ari Hoffman on Talk Radio 570 KVI on Tuesday to discuss his new book, "The Marxification of Education: Paulo Freire's Critical Marxism and the Theft of Education."

Hoffman asked Lindsay how Marxism has been woven into all aspects of the curriculum in schools. Lindsay explained that educators "raise political literacy using regular academic lessons as mediators to a political conversation as the justification to have one."

James Lindsay joins TPM's Ari Hoffman to talk about his new book 8:50 min

He used an example from a second second-grade problem. "Mom and dad are riding in the car together on the way to the amusement park. The amusement park is 50 miles away. They've driven 30 miles already. How much further do they have to go? Simple. Second grade, subtraction word problem. You probably did it in your head already and got the right answer. I did a talk in Charleston and there was a little kid…second, third grade raised his hand."

“"The teachers are taught then to reframe that, use it as a mediator of knowledge to have an equity conversation. So, they would say, 'Hey, kids, before we answer the question, how many of you ever been to an amusement park?'"

"Some kids raise their hand, some kids don't, and then they say, 'well, why? What are some reasons why some of you wouldn't have been able to go to an amusement park?' until some kid says not everybody can afford it, and now they're having a conversation about poverty," he continued.

"Or until some kid says, 'my parents just don't think I'm old enough.' Now you're having a question, a discussion about political or parental authority."

"Or they bring up the topic of 'do all of you go to places with your mom and dad? Tell us about your family.' And somebody says, 'I don't have a dad at home.' And now you're having a conversation about feminism. Somebody says, 'well, we have two moms.' Now you're having a conversation about sexuality."

"Is it good to go to an amusement park in a car just to have fun? Is that bad for the environment? Now you're having a conversation about environmentalism and you can just go on and on and on and generate, and that's the word Freire uses, 'generative topics,' political conversations, out of a completely benign curriculum."

"The goal is just to create excuses, to have political conversations with kids under the guise of getting them more engaged, more interested in the subject."

Hoffman replied, "Now it seems like so many people don't even realize why these kids can't read, write anything of that, do arithmetic because they're spending all their time doing this garbage."

Lindsay told Hoffman he wrote the book because "I got asked to write an affidavit about Paulo Freire and what he did with Education Theory for a lawsuit that was filed in Tennessee against a program called Wit and Wisdom that was breaking the law at bringing various woke things into schools."

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1600300911997308928
1:45 min

"I wanted to expand it into something that other people could benefit from beyond just the lawsuit."

Lindsay added, "But I got sucked in and realized that this is one of the biggest catastrophes going on in society."

"I'm still reading Education Theory, still reading Paulo Freire and his acolytes and his followers, still reading documents from UNESCO and from USAID and from the NEA as the newest one. A huge document they just put out talking about retooling education to achieve the United Nations sustainable development goals using social-emotional learning."

"It turns out to be an extremely important topic with a lot of people that need to know about it. Primarily because not only does it affect our kids, which is a very, very serious issue, not to diminish that in any way, but to affect our kids is to affect our future generations as well, and thus to be able to subvert and destroy our society."

America’s Draconian Covid Lockdowns Were About Following Communist China, Not The Science

BY: CARINA BENTON
DECEMBER 07, 2022
6 MIN READ

Public health schemes adopted in the U.S. to ‘flatten the curve’ were shaped by a WHO-backed, CCP-driven agenda, not scientific evidence.

In the recent deposition of Anthony Fauci in Missouri v. Biden, a civil lawsuit against the Biden administration over alleged free speech violations, Fauci acknowledged that Dr. Clifford Lane, clinical director at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who was appointed to the February 2020 World Health Organization-China Joint Mission team, told Fauci that he was “impressed” with China’s successful management of the Covid outbreak.

In doing so, Lane conveyed to Fauci his belief that “extreme social distancing policies” were essential to curtailing the spread of disease. During his deposition, Fauci stated that he had “every reason to believe” the accuracy of Lane’s evaluation and admitted that “social distancing, even by somewhat difficult means” that involved “essentially the entire community” was possible in the U.S. as early as February 2020.

Indeed, a review of the earliest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Covid-19 guidelines, as well as Fauci’s own emails from the period, indicate that a WHO-backed, CCP-driven agenda informed the U.S. pandemic response from the beginning. Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx wielded the flimsiest of “scientific evidence” to beguile the American public while hiding their lockdown cards up their sleeves.

China’s aggressive and unprecedented approach to “flattening the curve” was neither ethically justified nor scientifically proven. Authorities from the WHO, Italy, France, Australia, and the U.S. knew that the elderly and those with underlying health conditions were the most at risk. In the vast majority of cases, the virus wasn’t dangerous.

According to the Joint Mission report, “approximately 80 percent of laboratory confirmed patients [in China] had mild to moderate disease.” In children under 19, Covid-19 was mild and constituted around 2.4 percent of reported cases; only 0.2 percent of children infected were in danger. The Joint Mission team lead and senior adviser to the WHO director-general, Dr. Bruce Aylward, emphasized that asymptomatic transmission chains were an “urban myth” and that there was “no evidence schools were driving transmission.”

Yet the Joint Mission exported the narrative that this was a “rapidly escalating and deadly epidemic” and insisted that China’s containment measures were “proven to interrupt or minimize transmission chains.” In lockstep, governments began deploying, with enthusiastic support from the press, an incremental terror campaign against their own citizens.

The U.S. White House Coronavirus Taskforce announced the initial CDC community control guidelines on March 9, 2020. Birx and Fauci cheerily explained that the “scientific evidence that informed each of these guidelines” came from research out of Australia.

The paper referenced was authored by experts in epidemiology, population, and public health and was posted online only four days earlier, on March 5.

Fauci forwarded it to Birx and then CDC Director Robert Redfield the night before the March 9 press conference. The authors hadn’t been contacted by anyone from the U.S. government or the CDC, and the paper hadn’t been peer-reviewed. When Dr. Carlos Del Rio, now president of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, emailed Fauci after the briefing asking for a copy of the Australian paper, Fauci responded that it was “not for distribution” as it was a preprint.

The so-called “scientific evidence” was an absolute nothing burger. The paper’s recommended preliminary social distancing measures for households, workplaces, schools, and commercial venues were based on two shaky assumptions. The first was that China had “constrained transmission of Covid … through rapid and intensive containment and mitigation interventions.” This argument was rooted in the WHO’s Joint Mission report and relied on infection data provided by Chinese authorities that showed an astonishing 83 percent drop in newly confirmed cases from the first day of the delegation’s visit to its last day in China two weeks later.

The second assumption was that hygiene and social distancing measures flattened the curve. However, the conceptual model pushed by the authors was not based on randomized controlled trials but on observational and simulation studies for influenza.

In fact, the most comprehensive research paper cited by the authors acknowledges the limitations of their own survey owing to the “relatively low” quality of the evidence. Worse, the review, originally published on February 6, 2020, finds “limited scientific evidence to support the effectiveness of [isolating exposed persons],” “no obvious rationale for the routine use of contract tracing in the general population,” “weak” evidence for and “major ethical concerns” regarding home quarantine, some evidence for school closures, “limited” evidence for workplace interventions and closures, and “limited” evidence for avoiding crowding. In other words, of the six social distancing measures considered, all but one were found to have no proven benefit.

Fauci and Birx fooled the public by presenting prima facie independent research that, in reality, was a mere hypothesis predicated on the CCP’s lockdown narrative. Despite the cozy branding, the earliest CDC interventions were intended to pave the way for increasingly draconian restrictions. Indeed, the Australian researchers argued that a pre-emptive phase of interventions would “assist [in preparing] for a more stringent phase.” Author Dr. Craig Dalton later reiterated that preliminary measures would be followed by “more heavy-handed interventions.”

Birx even admitted that “getting buy-in on the simple mitigation measures … was just the first step leading to longer and more aggressive interventions” while actively avoiding “the obvious appearance of a full lockdown.” After convincing the Trump administration to implement a two-week shutdown, Birx was “trying to figure out how to extend it,” even though she “didn’t have the numbers … to make the case.” Hence the “15 days to slow the spread” ruse announced on March 16 evolved into 45 days, and so on.

The “step-wise introduction of stringent measures,” as the Australians described it, was central to bringing the population along. As Aylward had recommended, once trust was established, authorities could then adapt measures as the strategy was rolled out.

“Building trust” really meant driving fear. In a March 6 webinar for Australian government health protection practitioners, one of Dalton’s co-authors, Dr. Stephen Corbett, expressed doubt as to how China’s containment strategy could be achieved in countries with a different “political structure.” Aylward responded that “what China had going for it” was not “fear of government” but tapping into people’s fear of death and disease. His remarks emphasized the “everyone has a role to play” rhetoric that public officials around the world were cranking up as they justified pilfering civil rights.

Amazingly, the people who endorsed CCP lockdown thuggery are clinging to the unscientific communist scam. In September, Aylward accused nations of having blood on their hands if they stepped back from tackling Covid, Birx infamously regretted not going harder with the lockdowns and still believes in asymptomatic transmission chains, and Fauci was only last week floating the idea of further school closures. Dalton, who still congratulates himself over the contribution his research made to ensnaring the American public, thinks Australia should set up a standing public health army to help fight the next pandemic and reduce the amount of time Australians will have to spend in lockdown.

The “experts” who pushed this upon us won’t learn a thing unless we replace “zero Covid” with “zero amnesties,” not only in solidarity with the Chinese people still caught up in this madness but out of sheer self-preservation.

It’s Worse Than You Think: Social Media Censorship Is Mass Social Engineering for the One World Government

by JD Rucker

Revelations of government interference on Big Tech platforms as well as the leftist manipulations by those operating the platforms themselves have revealed to many what some of us have known for a long time. We can view it all as an attack on the 1st Amendment. We can see censorship as a way of stifling the ideas of one side of the political fence. We can say that it all impacts elections, policy decisions, and the public’s awareness of important facts that could change the way they think.

It’s all of these, but it’s actually much worse than that. What the vast majority of hot takes and analyses of the impact of Big Tech gaslighting, censorship, and propaganda seem to miss is the most important reason the powers-that-be are doing it in the first place. Big Tech platform control is the key component of mass social engineering designed to usher in the one world government, the liberal world order, The Great Reset, or whatever you’d like to call the end goal of the globalist elite cabal. They don’t just need us compliant.

They need as many people as possible to be begging to be ruled in the very near future.

The article below by Dr. Joseph Mercola highlights this in much more detail. It’s an important read because it will hopefully wake more people up to a realization of the stakes. We’re not just talking about control in Washington DC or a universal vaccine agenda. We’re not just talking about turning the people against each other to more easily eliminate the “undesirables.” This conspiracy is far greater than most realize and the only thing theoretical about it is the scope. We know it’s happening. Now, we’re getting a clearer idea of just how big it is.

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • Human behavior on social media is similar to that of starlings in a murmuration. Masses of people react to a stimulus, such as a social media post, seemingly as a cohesive unit without a designated leader and, as a result, something goes “viral”
  • It appears to be a spontaneous event that no one can control, but it really isn’t. Curated information, pushed ahead of other information on people’s newsfeeds, can dramatically influence crowd behavior. It’s a form of social engineering
  • This kind of social engineering has a drawback. Financial incentives have driven social media companies to promote any content with high engagement. Those who seek to censor certain types of information now struggle to determine how to get Big Tech to change their underlying design
  • The Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is the key coordinator of illegal government censorship. Its original directive was to defend the U.S. against foreign cybersecurity threats. Now, CISA’s primary focus is domestic threats, i.e., Americans who challenge the government narrative
  • CISA works with a collective called the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), which does the actual censoring. The EIP consists of four social media monitoring groups: Stanford Internet Observatory, Washington University’s Center for an Informed Public, the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, and Graphika

In a recent essay,1 Renée DiResta, who researches “pathological information systems”2 and “the spread of malign narratives” at Stanford Internet Observatory,3 reviewed online crowd behavior in response to curated information. The metaphor she uses is that of a flock of starlings, in which thousands of birds fly in what seems to be an impossibly coordinated dance known as murmuration. As explained by DiResta:4

“In a murmuration, each bird sees, on average, the seven birds nearest it and adjusts its own behavior in response. If its nearest neighbors move left, the bird usually moves left. If they move right, the bird usually moves right.

The bird does not know the flock’s ultimate destination and can make no radical change to the whole. But each of these birds’ small alterations, when occurring in rapid sequence, shift the course of the whole, creating mesmerizing patterns …

It is a logic that emerges from — is an embodiment of — the network … The stimulus — or information — passes from one organism to the next through this chain of connections …

[C]omputational biologists and computer scientists who study them describe what is happening as ‘the rapid transmission of local behavioral response to neighbors.’ Each animal is a node in a system of influence, with the capacity to affect the behavior of its neighbors.

Scientists call this process, in which groups of disparate organisms move as a cohesive unit, collective behavior. The behavior is derived from the relationship of individual entities to each other, yet only by widening the aperture beyond individuals do we see the entirety of the dynamic.”

Are You Responding to Curated Bait?

According to researchers such as DiResta, human behavior on social media is strikingly similar. Masses of people react to a stimulus, such as a social media post, seemingly as a cohesive unit without a designated leader and, as a result, something goes “viral.”

It appears to be a spontaneous event that no one can control. But is it? As it turns out, curated information that is pushed ahead of other information on people’s newsfeeds can dramatically influence crowd behavior.

DiResta refers to it as “nudges” or “bait.” Curated information that gets pushed into our view ends up influencing what we think and do, thus influencing what goes viral and what doesn’t. It’s an incredibly subtle form of influence. At its core, it’s social engineering at its finest.

There’s a nudge (curated information pushed to the front of people’s feeds), individuals react, and suddenly, en masse, large numbers of people move in aggregate, creating a trend. Basically, social engineering and behavior modification works by steering our attention toward a specific target.

Echo Chambers and Directed Trends

In her essay, DiResta also describes how online platforms expanded individuals’ social networks using algorithms, connecting people with similar interests. Initially, this was done for commercial purposes, but in addition to matching advertisers to the appropriate markets, it has also had unintended consequences. Social networks have a tendency to become echo chambers, making “online murmurations” more likely. DiResta continues:5

“After the nudges to assemble into flocks come the nudges to engage … Twitter’s Trending Topics, for example, will show a nascent ‘trend’ to someone inclined to be interested, sometimes even if the purported trend is, at the time, more of a trickle — fewer than, say, 2,000 tweets.

But that act, pushing something into the user’s field of view, has consequences: the Trending Topics feature not only surfaces trends, it shapes them.

The provocation goes out to a small subset of people inclined to participate. The user who receives the nudge clicks in, perhaps posts their own take — increasing the post count, signaling to the algorithm that the bait was taken and raising the topic’s profile fortheir followers.

Their post is now curated into their friends’ feeds; they are one of the seven birds their followers see. Recurring frenzies take shape among particular flocks … even as very few people outside of the community have any idea that anything has happened.

Marx is trending for you, #ReopenSchools for me, #transwomenaremen for the Libs Of TikTok set. The provocation is delivered, a few more birds react to what’s suddenly in their field of view, and the flock follows …

We often deploy the phrase ‘it went viral’ to describe our online murmurations. It’s a deceptive phrase that eliminates the how and thus absolves the participants of all responsibility. A rumor does not simply spread — it spreads because we spread it, even if the system is designed to facilitate capturing attention and to encourage that spread.”

Social Media Companies Are in a Catch-22

While having something go viral can be beneficial for a given cause, it can also be disastrous if and when people react to something they don’t fully understand. The curating of likeminded individuals into networks also has the drawback of limiting opposing views, which might create a better balance, from entering into that network.

Many today insist that the answer to “misinformation” going viral is content curation, moderation and censorship. But that’s putting the cart before the horse, since it’s the design of the algorithms on social media that create these networks and online murmurings in the first place.

Social media companies profit by increasing engagement, thus they encourage expanding social networks with likeminded ideas and nudging networks into mass responses. High engagement means more exposure for advertisers, and hence greater ad revenue for the social media company.

Part 1 of 3

Part 2 of 3

According to DiResta, a better solution would be to “move beyond thinking of platform content moderation policies as ‘the solution’ and prioritize rethinking design.”

“For example, Twitter might choose to eliminate its Trending feature entirely, or in certain geographies during sensitive moments like elections — it might, at a minimum, limit nudges to surfacing actual large-scale or regional trends, not simply small-scale ragebait.

Instagram might enact a maximum follower count … These are substance-agnostic and not reactive … We might re-evaluate how platforms connect their users or how factors that determine what platform recommenders and curation algorithms push into field-of-view …

This could potentially have a far greater impact than battling over content moderation as a path toward constructing a healthier information ecosystem.”6

Who Is Renée DiResta?

Here, I’m going to change course a bit and ask you to consider DiResta’s essay within the context of what she’s really talking about, which is social engineering through better and more palatable forms of censorship. If you didn’t catch that angle, it’s in part because of the sections I chose to quote, but it’s also because you probably don’t know who DiResta is.

While her essay comes across as well-reasoned, readers would do well to consider whom she works for, who’s in her network, and why she might be proposing what she’s proposing.

According to DiResta, social media algorithms have created a landscape in which “misinformation” flourishes and spreads like wildfire. Worse, it’s a landscape in which wrongthinkers end up forming lasting ties — and join together with other wrongthinkers to form much larger groups that support each other.

“The networks designed years ago — when amoral recommendation engines suggested, for example, that anti-vaccine activists might like to join QAnon communities — created real ties,” she writes.7

In addition to the suggestions quoted above, she also suggests another option: “A mass exodus from the present ecosystem into something entirely new … the metaverse, perhaps.”

I’ve previously written about how the globalist cabal behind The Great Reset intends to drive us into digital identity, a social credit score, digital twins and an increasingly virtual reality. So, she actually tips her hand when suggesting a mass migration into the metaverse, because that’s where the globalist cabal ultimately wants us.

A New World Order Propagandist

So, who is DiResta? She’s the research manager for the Stanford Internet Observatory, founded in June 2019 to promote internet censorship policies and conduct real-time social media narrative monitoring. She’s a Mozilla Fellow in Media, Misinformation and Trust, an adviser to Congress and the State Department, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).8
CFR is financed in part by the Gates,9 Rockefeller, Ford and Carnegie foundations,10 and has influenced U.S. foreign policy ever since its inception 95 years ago. Almost all U.S. secretaries of defense have been lifetime members, as have most CIA directors. This is of crucial importance, considering the CFR’s goal, from the start, has been to bring about a totalitarian one world government, a New World Order (NWO) with global top-down rule.

[The CFR’s goal is] submergence of U.S. sovereignty and national independence into an all-powerful one-world government … This lust to surrender the sovereignty and independence of the United States is pervasive throughout most of its membership … In the entire CFR lexicon, there is no term of revulsion carrying a meaning so deep as ‘America First.’ ~ CFR member Admiral Chester Ward, 1975

In 1950, the son of one of the CFR’s founders, James Warburg, said to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee: “We shall have world government whether or not you like it — by conquest or consent.”11 Similarly, in 1975 CFR insider Admiral Chester Ward wrote that the goal of the CFR was “submergence of U.S. sovereignty and national independence into an all-powerful one-world government.”12

According to Ward, the desire to “surrender the sovereignty and independence of the United States is pervasive throughout most of its membership,” and “In the entire CFR lexicon, there is no term of revulsion carrying a meaning so deep as ‘America First.'”

With Ward’s last comment in mind, published in 1975, it’s interesting to contemplate who has opposed President Trump’s America First agenda, and why. Many Americans, even if they don’t like or support Trump personally, agree that taking care of America and Americans’ interests first is a rational decision for any leadership, and they’ve been hard-pressed to rationalize how an anti-America First policy can be good for the nation.

Well, Ward gives us the answer. Those who oppose America First policies do so because they’re working on behalf of a network that seeks to eliminate nationalism in favor of a one-world government.

DiResta is a CFR member and a “misinformation specialist.” As such, her essay becomes an interesting example of subtle NWO propaganda. While some of her suggestions seem like they would have beneficial effects, what’s missing is a discussion of how a redesign of the algorithms on social media platforms can censor people and views even more efficiently.

You Are the Designated Enemy in World War III

What else do we know about DiResta? Well, we know she’s part of The Lancet Commission on Vaccine Refusal, Acceptance and Demand. At the end of 2021, she co-authored an article13 in The Lancet, along with Chelsea Clinton and Dr. Peter Hotez, among others, in which they discuss the impact of vaccine misinformation on COVID jab uptake.

In doing so, they present what they call in The Lancet “a coordinated, evidence-based education, communication, and behavioral intervention strategy that is likely to improve the success of COVID-19 vaccine programs across the U.S.”

She also has an integral role in the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) move to establish a domestic censorship bureau. In November 2022, the Foundation for Freedom Online published an extensive article14 detailing this transition, and the key players involved. As explained by Foundation for Freedom Online:15

“This story has two main institutional sides: the government within DHS and the non-governmental side consisting of a web of like-minded private sector and civil society partners. Together, this network forms the DHS public-private censorship network …”

On the government side, the Cybersecurity Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a sub-department of the DHS, is the key coordinator. When it was founded in 2018, its directive was to defend the U.S. against foreign cybersecurity threats like Russian hackers and foreign propaganda.

Since then, and especially in the last three years, CISA has morphed into a government entity focused almost solely on domestic threats, meaning Americans who challenge the government narrative — a narrative that, again, is in favor of a one-world government and firmly against American nationalism.

On the nongovernmental side, a collective called the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) is the main hub. The EIP consists of four social media monitoring groups: Stanford Internet Observatory, Washington University’s Center for an Informed Public, the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, and Graphika.

DiResta is directly connected to CISA’s censorship directorate through the Stanford Internet Observatory — where she’s a top lieutenant and directs research on misinformation and malicious narratives — which is part of the EIP. She’s also given a number of lectures at CISA disinformation summits.16,17 But there’s more. Foundation for Freedom Online writes:18

“The prominent role Renée DiResta plays in EIP — a government-partnered Internet censorship consortium — is particularly worrisome and disturbing.
Before DiResta became research manager at the Stanford disinfo lab, she was research director for a now-notorious, scandal-laden and disgraced political hatchet firm known as New Knowledge LLC.

In December 2018, the New York Times exposed that DiResta’s Democrat donor-funded small cybersecurity firm, New Knowledge, had clandestinely created thousands of fake ‘Russian bots’ (user accounts generated with a virtual private network (VPN) to simulate a Russian IP address) on Twitter and Facebook then mass subscribed those fake ‘Russian bots’ to opposition Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore’s campaign.

DiResta did this — or at least the small firm where she was a director did this — in the heat of the Nov. 2017 Alabama special election, which substantially decided the party control of the US Senate. It was a race in which Moore narrowly lost, and for whose loss New Knowledge – in its own report — took credit.

At the time, mainstream news genuinely thought Roy Moore was being backed by Russians. But it was just DiResta’s professional disinformation firm interfering in the election.”

Censoring to Secure a One World Government

Foundation for Freedom Online continues:19

“One common thread connecting these four entities is that each of their directors were involved in aggressively alleging (unsubstantiated) claims from January 2017 through early 2020 that Russian interference had helped Donald Trump win the 2016 election by using inauthentic bots and troll accounts on social media …

Each of the four entities comprising EIP is also deeply connected to the US military and foreign policy establishment … It is very helpful to understand EIP’s network and operations in depth, because it was through EIP that DHS built the infrastructure for its current role as government coordinator of takedowns and throttling of US citizen speech online.”

To get a better grasp on this censorship network, please refer to the original article, as I only have room to provide an overview summary here. In a nutshell, the EIP was created by the DHS/CISA as a way for government to circumvent the law and shield its illegal censoring of the American public behind the veneer of private corporations and nongovernmental organizations.

In an Atlantic Council interview, the leader of EIP, Alex Stamos (former security chief at Facebook), admits that the DHS-EIP partnership was set up to outsource censorship that the government could not do due to “lack of legal authorization.”20

They coordinate the take-down of undesirable content using a real-time chat app that the DHS, EIP and social media companies all share. Specific platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, also have their own special portals where government officials can point to content they want removed.21

EIP Interferes in Elections and Controls COVID Narratives

The EIP first sprang into noticeable action to control the outcome of the 2020 presidential election, but controlling elections is far from its only focus. With the emergence of COVID-19, censorship quickly turned to all things COVID. Foundation for Freedom Online explains:22

“… after the 2020 election, EIP changed its name and re-branded as an entity called the ‘Virality Project’ (VP). VP did the exact same government censorship job EIP did, except censoring COVID-19 instead of censoring elections …

VP ended up censoring, with its government partners, 66 unique social media narratives going viral online concerning COVID during the 2021 calendar year. Not 66 posts. 66 entire narratives. That had the effect of impacting millions of posts and potentially altering the entire political trajectory of the American citizenry’s response to the COVID pandemic.”

Understanding the Information Battlefield

Based on what we know about DiResta, we can now begin to see how her starling essay is an exposition on a) the social engineering role of Big Tech in the past, b) the drawback of Big Tech’s financial motivations when it comes to censoring NWO counternarratives, and c) how the NWO cabal wants Big Tech to shift methods in the future to limit the reach of undesirable content. It would behoove us to take note.

A great deal of the propaganda war involves people and organizations that say they’re one thing but do the complete opposite. For example, DiResta is the head of policy for Data for Democracy,23 while at the same time taking part in a plot to directly circumvent the democratic election process.

From her membership in CFR, we can glean the intent behind such anti-democratic behavior. She is working on behalf of those who seek to establish a one-world government. To that end, she also works with organizations specializing in censorship on behalf of the government.

Illegal government censorship is bad enough, but it doesn’t end there. As discussed in “Censorship Wasn’t Enough, They Want to Destroy Us,” when censorship and deplatforming fails, the gloves come off and more destructive cyberwarfare tactics are deployed. Our government is literally waging war against the American public, and while information control is the preferred measure, they don’t shy away from more aggressive tactics.

The idea of government waging war on its own citizens seems completely irrational and inexplicable — until you realize that the CFR has controlled U.S. foreign relations for nearly a century, and its primary goal has always been to undermine U.S. sovereignty and abet the creation of a one-world government.

Today, there’s a vast network of individuals and organizations that work together to achieve this aim, including a long list of government officials. Before anything can change, the public needs to understand the battlefield and what the battle is really about.

The battle, really, is about the surrender of the U.S. unto a one-world government and, in a circuitous way, DiResta’s essay — with her background exposed — helps us understand how the war is being fought. They always have a goal, and a plan for getting there. Then, they fashion the narratives needed to implement that plan.

Now that the ultimate end goal is clear — the establishment of a one-world government — it becomes much easier to determine how a given narrative is being used to further that goal. As we move forward, as many as possible need to become adept at identifying how different narratives are being used to curate the flock and make people move in a desired direction.

Germany Bans Proper Farm Fertilizing to Serve Climate Insanity

BY CATHERINE SALGADO 9:15 PM ON DECEMBER 07, 2022

In order to meet the standards of the European Union’s (UN) radical “green” agenda, Germany has reportedly banned its farmers in one state from properly fertilizing a large swath of their farmland. North Rhine-Westphalia‘s use of nitrate fertilizers is now greatly restricted due to EU crusading against nitrogen, and this is likely to lead to much lower crop yields. Farmers are understandably furious about the restrictions, which could well drive them out of business and hasten or exacerbate the looming food crisis. Apparently starving humans helps the planet?

Breitbart, reporting the story on December 1, noted that the Netherlands, which is one of the biggest food exporters in the world, has already suffered badly from the nitrogen restrictions and other EU goals. The government is now requiring 3000 farmers to volunteer to sell their farms or the same number will be forcibly dispossessed. They will be forcibly dispossessed in order to meet the EU’s arbitrary climate goals. Of course, climate change doom prophesiers have been wrong consistently and repeatedly for decades, but this time we should really trust them. Because nothing could go wrong there.

Farmers will now be required to use 20 percent less fertilizer in areas of land that have supposedly “problematic levels” of nitrogen, Breitbart reported. That includes an estimated third of usuable farmland in Germany’s most populous state, North Rhine-Westphalia. The EU seems to have been consulting the United Nations’ (UN) woke, climate-alarmist 2030 Agenda, which plans to make a world where, as the World Economic Forum described it, you’ll “own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better.” No longer will your dieting be optional!

The war in Ukraine has already put the world’s food supply in jeopardy, and with EU threats of fines other German states are likely to be forced to reduce fertilizer use just like North Rhine-Westphalia, Breitbart noted. “If a wheat field needs 200 kilos of fertilizer for optimal yield, farmers would now be forced to use 40 kilos less,” explained German farmer Erich Gussen. “That means a drop in yield and the quality of the wheat will suffer!” He added that, unsurprisingly, German farmers are expressing “great indignation” that they will be forced essentially to sabotage their businesses when fertilizer and fuel prices are already hurting bottom lines.

Political commentator Eva Vlaardingerbroek’s remarks to Breitbart on the Dutch farmers’ situation applies just as accurately to Germany:

“What this shows you is that the will of the people means nothing to our government…Despite all of the protest and (inter)national backlash, they’re pushing through with what I think are criminal policies.
Our government doesn’t cater to the wishes of its own citizens, it caters to globalist institutions whose interest it is to control the food supply, so they can control us…It’s the Great Reset in full force.”

The United Nation’s 27th Conference of the Parties recently held in Egypt has shown renewed interest in the subject of climate change. Is the debate settled as the IPCC and Peer Reviewed Consensus suggest? Is Peer Review just another word for "Pal Review"? Should we move towards energy sources that are based on lower emissions? Is Fossil Fuels killing the environment or an overall benefit for all mankind? Or is it just about politics and money? These are the questions that will be explored in the Climate Brawl Debate.

Arguing in favour of the motion is Gerald Kutney. Gerald Kutney is an elected Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, a former adjunct professor at the University of Northern British Columbia and taught the graduate course Climate Change and Global Warming. He has presented several guest lectures at Carleton University on climate change denial. In early 2019, Gerald took the initiative to launch the hashtag #climatebrawl on Twitter to confront climate deniers head on with facts, science and arguments.

Arguing Against the Motion is Tony Heller. Tony is a member of the C02 coalition, a geologist, teacher, verification engineer and the host of the climate contrarian website realclimatescience.com, Tony hosts a Youtube Channel where he regularly tries to deconstruct the climate change narrative. According to Tony, "Global warming is indeed Mann-made, by Michael Mann and James Hansen. But it has nothing to do with climate or science

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was among the speakers delivering remarks at the opening of COP15 in Montreal on Tuesday, which is a major international conference on preserving the world’s biodiversity. “Canada stepped up on just a few months' notice to have this nature COP held here in Montreal so that together we find solutions. The clock is ticking, and we knew this conference couldn't wait until some other time,” Trudeau said, referencing that the event was originally planned for Kunming, China in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted the schedule. During his opening speech, Trudeau was briefly interrupted by Indigenous protesters from the audience, who held up banners and drums. Afterwards, UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Chinese Minister of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu and Quebec premier François Legault also delivered speeches during the opening ceremony. COP15 brings together 196 countries to refresh the Convention on Biological Diversity and is seen as a crucial attempt to reach a global deal on saving the world’s ecosystems and the plants and animals that depend on them.

'Multinational corporations are filling their bank accounts while emptying our world of its natural gifts,' says the UN secretary general António Guterres, as he opens the Cop15 biodiversity conference. 'This conference is our chance to end this orgy of destruction.' Governments will begin formal negotiations for this decade’s UN biodiversity targets at the conference. At the Montreal opening ceremony, the Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, urged countries to agree on a target to conserve 30% of Earth for nature in the final agreement.

(This is known as the 30X30. Biden already pledged it in Executive Order 14008 of January 27, 2021 "Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad Sec. 216. Conserving Our Nation's Lands and Waters. UK ‘sleepwalking’ into food supply crisis, farmers warn

Adam Forrest
Tue, 6 December 2022 at 3:31 am·4-min read

The UK is “sleepwalking” into a major food supply crisis in the months ahead, the country’s union for farmers and growers has warned.

The National Farmers Union (NFU) said current egg shortages “could just be the start” since multiple farming sectors were struggling.

The next food items likely to face shortages would be tomatoes, cucumbers and pears due to them all coming from energy-intensive crops, said the farming union.

NFU president Minette Batters said wider fruit and vegetable supply could be “in trouble” as she urged the government to help producers under severe strain from soaring fuel, fertiliser and feed costs.

“British food is under threat … at a time when global volatility is threatening the stability of the world’s food production, food security and energy security,” Ms Batters told BBC Radio ’s Today programme.

“I fear the country is sleepwalking into further food supply crises, with the future of British fruit and vegetable supplies in trouble,” she said.

The NFU chief added: “Shoppers up and down the country have for decades had a guaranteed supply of high-quality affordable food produced to some of the highest animal welfare, environmental and food safety standards in the world.”

It comes after multiple supermarket giants introduced a temporary buying limit of eggs per customer as amid the impact of rising costs and avian flu, with “big” turkey shortages expected in the run-up to Christmas.

The British Poultry Council recently told MPs that 1.6 million of the 8.5 million turkeys produced for the festive period had died of bird flu or being culled.

Paul Kelly, of Essex-based Kelly Turkeys, said there would be “big, big shortages” of free-range turkeys on the supermarket shelves this December.

The NFU urged Rishi Sunak’s government to declare “exceptional market conditions” and offer emergency financial support to egg producers.

The body also warned that some beef farmers were considering whether to reduce the number of cows they breed, with milk prices set to fall below the cost of production, urging ministers to bring foward legislation aimed at ensuring dairy farmers get a fair price.

The union said there were now 7,000 fewer registered agricultural companies in the UK than in 2019, with many pushed out of business by soaring costs and workforce shortages.

The NFU also called on the government as lifting a cap on seasonal overseas workers to tackle the labour shortages after Brexit, and offering more certainty with a five-year seasonal visa programme.

The union said Covid, the war in Ukraine and Brexit had both played a part in making life more difficult for farmers. Russian had helped pushing up energy costs on already stressed-supply chains, while leaving the EU has led to labour shortages and increased red tape.

The body also criticised the government’s post-Brexit trade deals – arguing that the agreements with Australia and New Zealand have undercut domestic producers by eliminating tariffs on cheap imports.

The union warned ministers that possible deals with Canada and Mexico must give “reciprocal access to overseas markets” for British farmers if tariffs on imports are reduced.

Steve Dresser, the head of Grocery Insight analysists, said rising costs meant the farming sector “has taken a real battering this year”.

He added: “It’s clear that we face real challenges in our supply chain and as a nation, we should be looking to back our farming community, especially as Brexit has made things harder around importing foods.”

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) insisted that the UK still has a high degree of food security which is “built on supply from diverse sources”, including strong domestic production as well as imports through stable trade routes.

The row comes as the rate of food price inflation is expected to reach a peak year-on-year rise of between 17 per cent and 19 per cent in early 2023, the Institute of Grocery Distribution announced on Tuesday.

The latest estimate is up from the institute’s previous forecast of a peak of between 14 per cent and 16 per cent, with many families already forced to cut back or turn to food banks during the cost of living crisis.

It follows research which found that Brexit had cost UK households more than £5.8bn in higher food bills, increasing food inflation by 6 per cent.

Leaving the EU has added an average of £210 to Britons’ food costs over the two years to the end of 2021, according to the Centre for Economic Performance.

IS THE US FINALLY WARMING TO THE POSSIBILITY OF CREATING A CBDC?

December 7, 2022

By Joseph Moss, International Banker

On March 9, 2022, US President Joe Biden signed Executive Order 14067, “Ensuring Responsible Development of Digital Assets,” which prioritises research and development efforts into the potential design and deployment options of a US central bank digital currency (CBDC). The order directs the Federal Government to “prioritize timely assessments of potential benefits and risks under various designs to ensure that the United States remains a leader in the international financial system”. And it is very much through this lens of financial leadership that much of the debate surrounding the potential introduction of a digital dollar continues. But is there any genuine progress in delivering a CBDC to the American public?
The CBDC will be a digital form of the US dollar issued by the Federal Reserve System (the Fed) and will be similar to cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin and tether. But this new form of digital fiat money will crucially differ from crypto by having the full backing of the Federal Reserve and functioning everywhere as legal tender. As such, this CBDC would have to meet several eligibility criteria to be effective—criteria that the likes of bitcoin et al. do not necessarily satisfy.
Indeed, a research report published by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy on September 16 sought to clarify the issue. It identified eight main policy objectives that a US CBDC system would need to meet:
  1. Provide benefits and mitigate risks for consumers, investors and businesses; provide adequate financial and digital protection to consumers, investors and businesses by design and default.
  2. Promote economic growth and financial stability and mitigate systemic risk by seamlessly working with traditional forms of the US dollar—being flexible enough to facilitate a range of economic-policy objectives, including promoting competition and innovation. It should also ensure the financial system’s resilience, minimise risk and be operable during times of both normality and stress.
  3. Improve payment systems by being:
  • functional at all times and operating efficiently relative to its costs,
  • usable and providing a good customer experience,
  • efficient by making investments, domestic and cross-border fund transfers, and payments cheaper, faster and safer—promoting greater and more cost-efficient access to financial products and services,
  • secure by being protected against cybersecurity attacks and failures and trustworthy for consumers, investors, businesses and the public,
  • flexible enough to support innovation from the public and private sectors to meet the US’ various goals, as well as extensible and upgradeable to improve and harness innovations.
  1. Ensure the global financial system has transparency, connectivity, platform and architecture interoperability or transferability as appropriate to facilitate transactions with other currencies and systems, avoiding risks of harm to the international monetary system and financial system.
  2. Advance financial inclusion and equity such that the CBDC system would enable access for a broad set of potential consumers and uses whilst mitigating specific risks, such as destabilising runs and money laundering.
  3. Protect national security by promoting compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) requirements and relevant sanctions obligations while mitigating illicit-finance risks. It should also support US leadership in the global financial system, including the dollar’s global role.
  4. Provide the ability to respect democratic values and human rights, such as those protected by the Constitution of the United States and those outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. It should incorporate technical protections that prevent the use of the CBDC in ways that violate civil or human rights.
  5. Align with democratic and environmental values, including privacy protections. The CBDC system should maintain privacy and protect against arbitrary or unlawful surveillance, while built-in protections should ensure that financial-data privacy is included by default. A sustainable CBDC system should also be compatible with US environmental priorities and minimise the environmental impacts on local communities, improving the traditional financial system’s environmental performance.
It would also seem apparent that after several years of apprehension over the potential adoption of a CBDC—during which other major economies have advanced the developments of their digital fiat currencies—the Federal Reserve is now finally warming to the concept. “While the Federal Reserve has made no decisions on whether to pursue or implement a central bank digital currency, or CBDC, we have been exploring the potential benefits and risks of CBDCs from a variety of angles, including through technological research and experimentation,” the central bank states on its website. “Our key focus is on whether and how a CBDC could improve on an already safe and efficient U.S. domestic payments system.”
And in July, the Fed’s chairman, Jerome Powell, confirmed that the central bank aims to provide recommendations to Congress on how to continue the development of a potential CBDC. “It’s a very important potential financial innovation that will affect all Americans,” Powell acknowledged. “Our plan is to work on both the policy side and the technological side in [the] coming years and come to Congress with a recommendation at some point.”
But not everyone at the Fed—or, indeed, in Congress—is convinced that a digital dollar will bring material benefits to the US financial system or the dollar’s role within the international financial system. “A US CBDC is unlikely to dramatically reshape the liquidity or depth of US capital markets. It is unlikely to affect the openness of the U.S. economy, reconfigure trust in U.S. institutions, or deepen America’s commitment to the rule of law,” Federal Reserve Board of Governors member Christopher J. Waller argued in an October 14 speech. “As I have said before, the introduction of a US CBDC would come with a number of costs and risks, including cyber risk and the threat of disintermediating commercial banks, both of which could harm, rather than help, the US dollar’s standing internationally.”
But with China sprinting well ahead in the development of a CBDC as it seeks to advance the global adoption of its digital yuan, the United States may end up being forced to tip its hand and create a digital dollar, with the ultimate objective of remaining competitive with its biggest economic and political rival. This year has seen dramatic geopolitical upheavals following the outbreak of war between Russia and Ukraine, and it has become clearer than ever that the US intends to contain China’s economic rise as much as it can. As such, the potentially expedited introduction of a digital dollar that would seek to keep a lid on the proliferation of its Chinese rival’s digital currency may become a crucial component of this containment policy.
The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) recently confirmed that its own CBDC, which has undergone a pilot programme for more than two years, has exceeded $14 billion in transaction volumes during this time. “Multiple e-government service platforms have opened digital renminbi payment services, supporting online and offline channels to handle various public utility payments, using digital renminbi to issue tax rebate funds for monthly medical insurance payment, funds for helping people in need, and specialized, special, and new enterprise support funds, etc.,” China’s central bank reported.
A CBDC may also be necessary to help maintain global dollar hegemony, especially if the geopolitical landscape shifts dramatically against the US in the coming years. “Recently, China entered into talks with Russia and Saudi Arabia to purchase oil in the Chinese yuan. This commodity has been reserved for the USD since the 1970s, so closely tied to oil that it has taken on the name of petrodollar,” James Hinote, a geopolitical analyst at consulting and advisory firm CJPA Global Advisors, recently wrote. “The growing influence of the Chinese yuan and an independent Chinese financial system can be attributed to the ease of use for their electronic payment systems both domestically and abroad, and their forward-thinking development of technology and systems that don’t need to use the US financial system. These efforts combine to pose a challenge to the USD as the global reserve currency and may allow China to circumnavigate any financial sanctions from the West.”
But should the Fed proceed with developing a digital dollar, it has stated on several occasions that the issuance of a CBDC will not occur without congressional support. This may prove tough, especially given that a number of legislators have raised concerns over the digital dollar’s privacy issues. And according to Powell, the process of launching a digital currency will take at least another couple of years, during which the Fed will be “doing work, building public confidence in our analysis, in our ultimate conclusions, which we certainly haven’t reached yet”.
Included in that work will be bringing the FedNow instant-payment system online, currently scheduled for between May and July 2023. Some even believe that this system, which enables all financial institutions across the US to provide safe and efficient instant-payment services in real-time around the clock, every day of the year, is a preferable long-term option to a CBDC. “FedNow will help transform the way payments are made through new services that allow consumers and businesses to make payments conveniently, in real time, on any day, and with immediate availability of funds for receivers,” Michelle Bowman, a member of the Fed’s Board of Governors, said in August. “Our assessment of these benefits has not changed even as we consider whether a central bank digital currency (CBDC) might fit into the future U.S. money and payments landscape.” Is the US Finally Warming to the Possibility of Creating a CBDC?.

Great Reset coming fast and furious for the farmers, for food

COMMENTARY
By Cheryl K. Chumley - The Washington Times - Thursday, December 8, 2022

OPINION:
Thousands of farmers in the Netherlands are facing a government mandate to close their farms or, come next year, lose their farms — why? This is the latest globalist takeover of individual rights using environmentalism as the reason.

Communist Great Reset types have labeled these farmers “peak polluters.”

And take note, America. What’s happening there is certain to happen here.

Leading Great Reset voice Bill Gates is busily buying farmland in America for a reason. Leading Communist country China controls nearly 200,000 acres of U.S. farmland for a purpose. Do you think it’s to raise cattle for meat and dairy production?

“I do think all rich countries should move to 100% synthetic beef,” Gates said in 2021, MIT Technology Review reported. “You can get used to the taste difference and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time.”

He went on, in typical arrogant Gates fashion, to say, “Eventually, that green premium is modest enough that you can sort of change the [behaviors of] people, or use regulation to totally shift the demand.”

His stated reason for the shift from meat to manufactured meat? It’d be better for the environment. It’d be best for carbon emission levels. That, even as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reports methane from beef cattle only amounts to 2% of America’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to Karen Williams, natural resources policy director with the Idaho Cattle Association, who cited the EPA figures in a letter of angry rebuttal to Gates’ call for more fake meat.

It’s not about the environment.

It’s about control and power.

It’s about drumming up fears about the state of the earth so as to allow bureaucrats and globalists, like Gates, the opportunity to exploit the situation and seize control and power.

That’s the Great Reset vision, in a nutshell.

The coronavirus proved the testing ground — and breeding ground — of fear over common sense; of fear as a tool of control; or fear as a force. The Great Reset players now want to take the wins from that virus-tied fear and segue into long-lusted-for environmental regulations that would give the elites in global organizations the means of enslaving the masses.

“The COVID-19 crisis has shown us that our old systems are not fit any more for the 21st century,” World Economic Forum executive chairman Klaus Schwab said in June 2020. “In short, we need a great reset.”

It’s go time for that.

Or, as then-Prince Charles — who helped Schwab found the World Economic Forum — put it, during this same June 2020, discussion: It’s “golden opportunity” time.

Farmers — food — food supplies — food security — are the next targets of Great Reset attack.

From The Guardian, in November: “The Dutch government is offering to buy out up to 3,000 ‘peak polluter’ farms and major industrial polluters in an attempt to reduce ammonia and nitrogen oxide emissions that are illegal under EU law. The nitrogen minister … said farmers would be offered more than 100% of the value of their farms to quit. For the first time, the government has said that forced buyouts will follow next year if the voluntary measures fail.”

It’s interesting how quickly a voluntary action can move into a government mandate if not enough volunteer. That’s how it went under the coronavirus years, as well. Or, more to truth, that’s how governments learned to use the coronavirus to exert bureaucratic will and suppress individual liberties during the coronavirus years, as well.

America is not immune.

“China owns and controls almost 192,000 acres of farmland right here in the United States,” Rep. Ralph Norman wrote in August.

“Bill Gates … has quietly amassed nearly 270,000 acres of farmland across the country,” The Associated Press reported in May.

Farmland Riches said in a June article that Gates was the top farmland owner in America. Like-minded leftist Ted Turner, meanwhile, held the second to top spot.

Then there’s this: “Why Is George Soros Selling His Gold And Buying Farmland?” Beef Magazine asked in December.

Good question.

Why are leftists and globalists so interested in buying up farmland, stopping farmers from farming, forcing citizens to eat what they don’t want to eat? Like bugs and insects and manufactured meat and such?

The answer is simple and to be found in their own words. It’s to change humanity and bend human behavior to the will of the few.

They tasted the power of the pandemic. But nothing will cause panic and hysteria and violence like a fabricated food shortage. That’s when these leftists will swoop in with so-called solutions to calm the chaos.

And the solution will be: Do as they say. Do not argue. Do not resist.

Transportation Prices See "Sharpest Rate Of Contraction" In November

THURSDAY, DEC 08, 2022 - 05:52 AM
By Todd Maiden of FreightWaves.com

Transportation capacity continued to grow at a high rate during November with prices falling at the fastest rate on record, according to a monthly survey of supply chain executives released Tuesday.

The Logistics Managers’ Index (LMI) displayed a capacity reading of 71.4 in November, 1.7 percentage points lower than the all-time high established in October. The 12-month forward-looking expectation for the subindex is 65.7.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion while one below that indicates contraction.

A new low for the transportation prices subindex was set during the month. A 37.4 reading was 4.8 points lower than October and “the sharpest rate of contraction we have read in the history of the LMI,” the report said. Contraction was more pronounced among downstream respondents, or those in the supply chain that are closer to the end consumer. That group returned a 28.1 reading.

Expectations for prices one year from now stood at 42.1 as “the transportation market continues to fall from the dizzying heights that had become the norm during 2021.”

Transportation utilization was down 2.8 points to a neutral reading of 50. Responses captured in the second half of November were “slightly more negative,” meaning utilization “may be seeing the beginning of a contraction period” after expanding every month since May 2020.

The overall LMI stood at 53.6 in November, 3.9 points lower sequentially and the second-lowest level captured in the data set’s six-year history. The all-time low was recorded in April 2020 during the height of pandemic-related lockdowns.

FreightWaves’ National Truckload Index, a measure of TL spot rates, remains well off all-time highs established earlier in the year. However, spot rates are potentially bottoming, up nearly 10% from mid-November lows.

Inventories normalizing further?

Inventory growth rates throughout the supply chain slowed significantly during the month. After average readings of 69.6 this year, 62.7 in 2021 and 58.4 in 2020, the subindex fell 10.7 points to 54.8 in November, with respondents at the wholesale level seeing slower growth.

“Inventory levels have decreased significantly, particularly for upstream respondents,” the report said. “This is likely indicative of goods being positioned downstream for the holiday season and, more importantly for supply chains, being purchased by consumers.”

The inventory levels subindex was neutral at 50 in the back half of November, which “suggests that many firms have successfully threaded the needle and worked through the bulk of the goods that have plagued them through the year.”

The report cautioned that when the inventories subindex falls significantly, there is usually an increase in the following period. “So, there is a chance the inventory level index will bounce back up somewhat, post-holiday,” according to the report.

The forward-looking expectation for inventory levels was 47.2.

“The bullwhip effect was probably inevitable, given the sharp oscillations in supply and demand experienced over the last few years,” the report read. “The key now will be to observe whether supply chains have finally now right-sized their inventories, or if they have overcorrected back into a mild shortage.”

Inventory costs (73.4) continued to grow but at a rate 7.5 points lower than in October as warehousing prices (74.4) remained firmly in expansion territory. Higher warehousing costs were driven by contracting capacity (46.8) and growing utilization rates (56.8).

“It will be crucial to observe whether or not transportation metrics begin to bounce back at all in the new year, once the glut of inventory has been wound down further,” the report said.

The LMI is a collaboration among Arizona State University, Colorado State University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rutgers University and the University of Nevada, Reno, conducted in conjunction with the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
