They had a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in Crossroads in Bellevue WA. Don't recall seeing it in operation, just setting up. Wonder how that went.
THose conveyor belt sushi places were all over Japan when I was there. You paid by the color of the plate. Stacked them up and rang out at the register when you were done.
Fantastic. There were 3 or 4 sushi chefs in the middle of the conveyor plating it and putting it on the conveyor. They were always packed with people.How was the food?

It’s is conveyer belt hot pot and it was still there this summer. The all you can eat hot pot is in Redmond or Bellevue. I’ve always been amazed at how much food Asians eat. It’s typically one big meal a day with constant snacking in bits of stuff throughout the day.
Sushi Boat & Sushi Train places were pretty copmmon in the 70s-90s in Western Canada touristy places - Banff, Jasper and such. At least one in Edmonton but oddly not at WEM.Are any of these restaurants in the US?
The stories I could tell, you see my 1st wife was Chinese. We met at work and we both attended & graduated the same university.
There are a couple here in Orlando but they sure aren't $12. Closer to $40. It is nice though.
DD took me to one in TriCities WA; fun & tasty. Priced by the plate IIRC (like Dim Sum in San Francisco way back in the day) but she paid so I don't really know how much.
