I have a very close family member who is both a prop master and an armorer. The day after this happened his phone was blowing up and the general concensus among his colleagues is that it was the armorers fault. I’m going to copy the above image that he was sent because it’s so tiny and I can’t figure out how to enlarge it.
It says...
“I work in props. Apparently the armorer went off between takes and shot live rounds out of the Colt .45 between takes. The armorer forgot to clear the weapon, so there was still a live round chambered. As a props guy, I can confirm this is absolutely ****ing unacceptable, and the armorer is the one who should be held accountable.”

I do not know the person who wrote the above statement. It was sent to my family member.
Then there are a bunch of people in that field that don't know or follow the general rules of handling weapons.
The one holding the weapon is responsible for said weapon and it being loaded or not... period.
Having said that, if they are laying blame on anyone but the last person holding/using the weapon, they are nowhere near professionals and should not be hired for anything involving weapons.

Saw the Baldwin B.S. interview tonight on the evening news. HE SAYS that he didn't pull the trigger. Sorry Alec, but a Colt Peacemaker can't fire if the HAMMER IS NOT PULLED BACK AND the TRIGGERED PULLED!! He is SOOOOOO full of crap it's not even funny. He pulled the hammer back to full lock AND pulled the trigger. There is no other way for that pistol to fire. NONE!!

And I don't care what anyone says. If you pick up a firearm YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for what happens. YOU are responsible for ensuring the weapon is safe....PERIOD. Doesn't matter what anyone else tells you. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE!!
That was for his progressive liberal support group, who think guns run around killing people, all by themselves.

Now they can say, "See I told you so."

*Remember the narrative is guns/SUV's kill people, not that any person had anything to do with it at all. And any one who thinks other wise is blaming the victim.

Everyone was quick to blame the non-trigger-pulling holder of the rogue firearm.

Clearly, this was an automatic single action revolver, and further illustrates the desparate need for stricter gun control legislation.

IF I could teach my daughter when she was EIGHT YEARS OLD how to safely handle a firearm and respect it for it's capabilities and treat it with all the care and respect of a deadly tool.....then sure as hell a SIXTY-THREE year old adult man should be able to learn and master the safe handling practices of a firearm.

Regardless of how a live round got in that pistol, Baldwin failed in every aspect of safe firearms handling. Once you put your meat hooks on a weapon YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for safely handling of that weapon. HE FAILED. Someone DIED and HE IS RESPONSIBLE!! PERIOD!!

He can whine and cry all he wants, but his negligence killed that women.

Uh Oh: Search Warrant Issued for Alec Baldwin's Phone in Movie Set Shooting Incident

In October, Alec Baldwin shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. He was reportedly practicing a stunt for his film Rust. The previous film crew had quit reportedly over the working conditions. Baldwin was told by an assistant director that he was using a ‘cold gun.’ He fired and hit Hutchins and director Joel Souza. Baldwin never checked to see if the gun was indeed safe. That’s on him. Now, in a recent interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos—he said that he didn’t pull the trigger and that someone was responsible, but it wasn’t him.

The production was in New Mexico. Authorities there said outright that no legal options had been taken off the table. This quickly became a criminal investigation as more and more evidence suggesting that this fiasco could have been avoided.

Now, a search warrant has been issued for Baldwin’s phone (via Fox News):

The sheriff's department wants to search Baldwin's phone for any evidence relating to the death of Halyna Hutchins.
"Affiant is requesting a warrant for the seizure and search of Alec Baldwins' [sic] cell phone to search for any evidence relating to the death investigation of Halyna Hutchins," the affidavit, obtained by Fox News Digital, said. "Affiant believes there may be evidence on the phone due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s)."
"Such information, if it exists, may be material and relevant to this investigation. Affiant was also made aware there were several emails and text messages sent and received regarding the movie production 'Rust' in the course of interviews."
[…]
Baldwin told police he had corresponded with armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed via email discussing different types of guns to use during production. The actor had told police he requested a larger gun for filming, according to the search warrant.
Police found conversations regarding the "Rust" production on Hutchins' phone dating back to July 14, 2021, as well as photos taken in the Santa Fe area dating to September 7, 2021.
"Affiant believes gathering information prior to the film start date of Rust is essential for a full investigation," the affidavit said, adding that police requested Baldwin's phone but were told to get a search warrant.
Liberal lawyer Gloria Allred noted that because Baldwin is a producer of the film, he’s still responsible for the shooting incident. We’ll see what happens.

Seems like a long drawn out investigation. Wanting this clown's cell phone is interesting in that it shows thoroughness and or maybe they suspect foul play or intent. I have a feeling this guy is going down for whacking the girl, it's just that the prosecution needs complete knowledge of everything before pressing charges. The reason is obvious, he's a major lefty and the MSM will be on his side. Politics will be on his side.

I noticed the language in the statement that texts and calls were made before and after the commission of "crimes"....and he can delete all he wants, they can extract the info after that.

Stunning News That Might Mean Big Trouble for Alec Baldwin in the Shooting Investigation

By Nick Arama | Dec 16, 2021 10:30 PM ET

There was a very interesting and unusual development today in the case of the fatal shooting on the set of Alec Baldwin’s movie, Rust.

The Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office has now gotten a search warrant to seize and search actor and producer Alec Baldwin’s cell phone looking for evidence in relation to the case.

The affidavit for the search warrant from Det. Alexandria Hancock (the “Affiant”) states:
“Affiant believes there may be evidence on the phone, due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s),” the affidavit goes on to say. “Such information, if it exists, may be material and relevant to this investigation. Affiant was also made aware there were several emails and text messages sent and received regarding the movie production Rust in the course of interviews” [….]
“Affiant has not included every fact related to this investigation, but has included only those facts Affiant believes are necessary to establish probable cause, for the issuance of a search warrant for the above mentioned device,” Det Hancock noted in her successful search warrant bid.
The police wanted his phone before this but Baldwin’s lawyers refused to turn it over without a warrant. Now Baldwin is going to have to turn it over. That raises the question of why didn’t he want to turn the phone over before and what didn’t he want the police to see.

I think it’s fair to say this is bad news for Baldwin. I can’t tell you exactly what they’re looking for because I’m not in their heads, but I can take a few educated guesses here. They’ll be looking for anything that indicates that he knew about the problems on the set. They may know there are emails and texts that are relevant from other people they have questioned. All that could be relevant to potential prosecution, for example, for negligent homicide.

One of the big problems for Baldwin? He’s given interviews including a very detailed one to George Stephanopoulos and now has locked himself into factual scenarios such as saying that he “didn’t pull the trigger” and that he had “no idea” how live bullets may have gotten on the set. While Baldwin has claimed he was told that it was highly unlikely that he would be prosecuted, the police have never ruled it out. They also have been careful to never call the incident an “accident.” After the interview with Stephanopoulos, Baldwin deleted his publicly accessible Twitter account.

Another element floating out there? Jason Bowles, the attorney for Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the armorer, is saying that she believes there was sabotage that affected the situation after she gave the gun to assistant director Dave Halls.
Bowles said that Gutierrez-Reed “had spun the cylinder, she had given it to Halls, she had shown him each of the six rounds. Halls was going to take custody of that weapon.” He said that sabotage “is the most likely possibility. Probability.” He has previously said that he believes that someone may have “intended to sabotage this set with a live round intentionally placed in a box of dummies.”
The armorer’s father, Thell Reed, a famous armorer, said that had his daughter been allowed in the church, she would have re-checked the weapon and if there were a live round, she would have caught it. That may tailor with another report that said that the gun was left on a gray cart due to COVID restrictions. She wasn’t allowed into the church because of the restrictions — they were limiting who was allowed in. That may have contributed to the problems.

On Friday, a judge approved a request by OSHA to subpoena the assistant director, Dave Halls, because they said he had twice declined to speak with them voluntarily about the shooting and conditions on the set. That raises the question of why he didn’t want to talk to them before and had to be subpoenaed to do so.

ANY ONE with ANY common sense and firearm knowledge KNOWS beyond a question of a doubt that Baldwin didn't know what the "F" he was doing with that pistol, HE failed to perform the FINAL safety check (which is HIS responsibility) and that HE ABSOLUTELY pulled the trigger. Alec Baldwin IS RESPONSIBLE for the gun going off and killing that women and wounding that director. There is no other possible explanation.

How the live round got into the gun....yeah that person(s) should be held accountable, but the guy with the gun in his hand is the final ultimate safety FAILURE!

With any luck at all, this whole thing will at least permanently politically neuter Baldwin as effectively as news about their mistresses did Gary Hart and Jesse Jackson.

Still say it was premeditated murder, she had something on him, or dissed him and it really pized him off.

But yes, he at the minimum should get a manslaughter conviction and serve time. As in years in prison.

Halyna Hutchins knew something or had something big on Hollywood. It was so big Hollywood needed Alec Baldwin to make the hit and possibly be criminally charged.
The asst director doesnt want to talk because he knows it was hit arranged by hollywood.

The quest for embattled actor Alec Baldwin's cellphone has now gone beyond New Mexico, and it has New York authorities enlisted to try to track down what could be a crucial piece of evidence for the high-profile investigation into the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

"Affiant is requesting a warrant for the seizure and search of Alec Baldwins' [sic] cell phone to search for any evidence relating to the death investigation of Halyna Hutchins. Affiant believes there may be evidence on the phone due to individuals using cellular phones during and/or after the commission of crime(s)."
The Suffolk County Sheriff's Department in New York confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday that a request from the Santa Fe Sheriff's Department had been received for a joint effort between the the sheriff's department.

"The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office has received a request from the Santa Fe, NM authorities requesting assistance in obtaining Alec Baldwin’s phone," Sergeant Paul Spinella told Fox News Digital. "This request has been forwarded to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office to work out the differences in laws between NM and NY. As this is an ongoing investigation, that is all the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office can report at this time."

When we last left off with the Alec Baldwin saga, authorities had issued a search warrant for his phone. Now this was around mid-December. It's been nearly a month later that we're learning the actor is refusing to cooperate with the request.
Baldwin's civil attorney Aaron Dyer says the actor "proactively requested" police get a search warrant for the sake of his family's protection.

It was a request for photos, location data, and text messages on the actor's phone. The search warrant indicates that Baldwin emailed the Rust armorer about what kind of firearm to use during the film's production.

On Oct. 21, Hutchins was killed on the set of a western flick called Rust after a gun Baldwin was holding to set up a shot had fired. In the weeks after the incident, a wrongful death suit was filed by the victim's family.
Since then, questions surrounding the tragedy remain as it was revealed the movie's props crew had been allegedly sloppy, in a situation that apparently allowed live ammo to be confused for blank cartridges.

In a recent roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Nicolas Cage commented on the situation saying actors and actresses "need to know how to use a gun" and understand procedure.
In a press conference given by the New Mexico prosecutor handling the case, criminal charges for those handling Rust firearms were said to be possible.
The last time the general public heard from Baldwin was when he claimed on ABC News in an interview that he "didn't pull the trigger" in this tragic situation.

Deep down in every one of these leftist pukes is the absolute belief that everything bad in their lives is not their fault. They truly believe they are the victim of someone or something else.

This waste of breath is no exception. He broke every step of safe gun handling, pointed the gun and caused it to discharge.

He will never take responsibility for his actions- never!

The twist to this is he will also never see his constant campaign against the morality that is right and good is just as evil and self serving.

You or I, being the lost lovers of our Bibles, constitution and guns will still be the ones that his kind hates and wants gone.

The Lord’s great winnowing continues unabated as we slide to the final judgment and separation of the sheep and the goats

Of course he did not pull the trigger, leftists just don't do stuff like that. Being a leftist, he does not have to comply with any warrant for his cell phone any more than we as Americans can expect a fair election.

Bad juju for Baldwin in that phone.

He probably asked for a "real" gun "Yunno - an antique." So that he could keep it as "memento" of his directorship days. As a Producer, he is paying for the production - and likely he gets "first choice" after production ends.

Assumption: Baldwin is a total doofus on guns.

He grasps the gun instinctively, squeezes everything including the trigger.

He cocks with the other thumb, trigger still depressed.

Lets go of the hammer and BANG! Without his pulling the trigger because it was already pulled.

He may not be lying.

You have a good theory, and you could be right with respect to how the events played out. However squeezing the trigger first, then attempting to cock the weapon are still actions he did to cause the weapon to discharge. He still pulled the trigger, and worked the hammer, just not in the conventional order.

To fan those weapons as with the cowboy shows, that's basically how it's done, pull the trigger, and with the other hand fan the hammer. I've done it myself with 1800's era single action revolvers, it's fun, but extremely inaccurate.

Alec Baldwin is now complaining there is no press coverage that he turned his cell phone over to police — under court ordered search warrant. Also he claims “the Constitution” is why it took him so long (29 days.) Watch this:

If you kill a person on purpose, it is murder.
If you kill a person by accident, it is manslaughter.
Why is he not in jail?
