They'll sit in a tree for a few hours freezing the first night, and will be dead by the next morning. Doubt anybody would be able to catch them, or even get close enough to shoot them.
Thirty minutes from meNot far from me. Hope they freeze to death tonight. It's going to be very cold here. Better that than where they're headed.
Thirty minutes from me
They would have to have been really lost if they were coming out of SC.Monkeys are smart and resourceful, if a group is on the run they will huddle together for warmth and may even find a warm place to hold up. The monkeys may have originated from a Island in SC (Morgan Island ) and may be some what accustom to winter temps .
Lots of ? yet
Probably a bite risk.Gee, I wonder why they don't want for anyone to have contact with it.
Or the truck they were riding in when it crashed. They would have to have been really lost if they were coming out of SC.
I thought I heard they were headed east bound, that's why I made the "the were lost comment".Or the truck they were riding in when it crashed.
A lot of monkeys used for medical research come from that island. population of monkeys averages around 400.
Well they came from somewhere?????Coulda ben worse, they could have been COMMING FROM the lab.
Greetings, summerkitchen. I’m nearby, too, less than an hour’s drive West of the monkey spill.
In honor of Nowski (may he be doing well tonight) let me just say that those monkeys will be easy to spot.
Here is the demographic for Danville, PA:

Better hope they don't make it to Philly.
The sad part is nobody recognized they were going to a lab. These living and loving creatures are bound to a destiny of torture and mistreatment. I have had 2 pet monkeys in my lifetime. They are loving creatures and we use them in horrible testing and experiments. These folks will answer to god. And no, I am not a liberal. I just love gods creatures more than most people.
People like those should be euthanizedIt was reported today on News 16 that the 3 they caught have been euthanized. I can understand why-no explanation. The 4th they have yet to find.
Some random thoughts that this event might’ve been staged to blame the next Ebola-like outbreak:
Danville is home to the Geisinger Medical Center, a huge hospital with many satellite locations throughout East-Central PA. Geisinger is run by woketards who would work hand-in-hand with the CDC (the front-line workers are great people, but admin is the problem). So, that could fit my woo scenario. They have the woketard hospital right there in Danville to go along with the CDC outbreak narrative.
The exit off Route 80 at Danville heading West does have a tight turning radius, tighter than most, so a speeding rig or dump truck could have issues on the exit there. The McDonald’s off that exit would perhaps be reason to exit since there are not many food options heading West into rural Central PA, but the monkey truck certainly wouldn’t be traveling South on any roads off that exit. Even the worst GPS would take you one more exit to Lewisburg to use Route 15 to avoid the back roads and mountain climb South of Danville.
Where was the monkey truck heading?!? Why didn’t the driver previously exit onto Interstate 81, back a little ways, if he were headed South? He is heading on Route 80 into an area literally called “the Wilds of Pennsylvania.” He is either headed West toward Ohio, or he is lost.
My love of woo finds ground here to grow…
Yes. Makes you wonder if the Ebola outbreak may be planned to start in those pesky red counties in the middle of the state, doesn’t it?

According to a CDC spokesperson, the monkeys were en route to a CDC-approved quarantine facility after landing Friday morning in New York. They are originally from Mauritius, a country in eastern Africa.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, that’s when the three monkeys got free in the Danville area.
Police say the driver who was transporting the monkeys was charged in the crash.
Originally, state police told us four monkeys were on the loose.
As of Saturday afternoon, some people were still worried.
“Little monkeys, we got bears, we have coyotes, we have deer, you know all the time. A little 3-pound monkey doesn’t scare me, but why are they so concerned about it is what concerns me,” said Howie Lerch, Valley Township.
Friday night Newswatch 16 spoke with Michelle Fallon of Danville, who saw the entire accident. She jumped into action; helping both drivers and the loads they were carrying.
“I walk up back on the hill and this guy tells me, ‘Oh, he’s hauling cats. I said, ‘oh.’ So I go over to look in the crate and there’s this green cloth over it. So I peel it back, I stick my finger in there and go ‘kitty, kitty.’ It pops its head up and it’s a monkey,” Fallon said.
Fallon was contacted Saturday by the CDC and was told to monitor herself for any cold-like symptoms.
