I’ll be going to Kroger tomorrow hopefully. I’ve not been all week, except to run in real quick.
I’ll be interested in what going on with shortages there.
I'm grocery shopping tomorrow also and wondering the same thing.

Or, it’s too bad cats can’t EAT Ramen lol!Well, since I bought a supply of Ramen for one daughter, decided to pick up extra cat food for the other one - enough to get her through 2-3 months. Wish cat food was as cheap as Ramen
They are doing that with Crystal Geyser here in the desert too. One store still had for 99 last week. Haven't checked lately.I went to Big Lots for our spring water. It was a dollar a gallon like 2 weeks ago, today $1.29. That's 29% increase in two weeks. I had a ten dollar off $40 coupon so I got some nuts and soups also.
Went to Aldi's and it was bare in the dairy area, almost no eggs. No chicken to speak of.
Went to service my Alb((((son store today. I deal in the non-food general mdse items. Only 30% of my last three orders have shown up. The dept manager for the gen mdse was struggling to find things to do and worried they are going to cut her hours. .there just isn't anything for her to stock.
i-5 Freeway is wide open, no weather delays. The back room is really really bare, worse than the beginning of c19.
GM manager had real concern/bordering on fear I her eyes if hours are cut.
southern oregan hasn't had much trouble with shortages except for Ramen noodles since last year. Pictures of the back room
My great niece did a delivery order from Acme for herself and for me yesterday...
I'm north of Springfield about 75 miles and we have wheat planted here. The farmers plant wheat after the soybeans are combined in the fall.We live in SW MO and do a lot of driving around. We have noticed almost no fields of wheat coming up. Are farmers not planting wheat this year? The only wheat fields we've seen are in the state and national parks for wildlife. Does this mean a bread shortage for us and the world next summer?
What are the rest of you noticing???
Not food, but I can't find the old "nonfood" shortage thread.
I've been stocking up on arts and craft supplies, including lots of paper, paints, crayons and markers for the girls, as well as some better stuff for me, including acrylic paints snd the tools to experiment with pouring techniques. I know prices are going to continue to climb, and we don't really need more food, since we grow nearly everything.
But wow! I bought a set of metallic markers... 24 for $5.89. One week later they were selling for $12.89!

greysage - you've asked a question long in my mind. I personally choose not to have pets because I cannot afford proper vet care for them.
In our are the wheat is harvested in June then corn is planted.I'm north of Springfield about 75 miles and we have wheat planted here. The farmers plant wheat after the soybeans are combined in the fall.
Wow.Mid South. So I went to WM this AM...
When I tried to go down the cat food aisle, an elderly man had blocked the entire aisle with his cart. I scanned and saw that they only had 1 bag of my guy's brand of dry food left, so I squeezed past him and got it. He started to say something to me, but the look on my face must have stopped him. I far surpassed my tolerance for BS last week. I figured that I'd go grab my cleaning supplies a couple of aisles over and come back and get canned, and hopefully he would be gone.
So I grab my cleaning stuff and come back and this couple sees that I'm turning in the cat food aisle and the man cuts me off with their cart, turns it cross ways across the aisle, and started throwing canned food in it. They had like 100 cans in 5 seconds, he was buying the big multi-packs and she started dumping in single cans. I thought, "Geez, maybe I am going to get in a fist fight in the cat food aisle." I looked really fast but they didn't have any of the flavors that my cats will eat. When I left, they were still stacking food in the cart....
The store had no Nido. None of the Compleats that I eat. Only breaded chicken breasts, I bought them anyway.
It looked like they took out an entire aisle or more, they had moved things around and I had to hunt to find some items.
One of my friends in Mississippi said that his WM yesterday had NO cereal at all. Not one box...
Where can I find an "adult" coloring book?Well, I have an adult coloring book of maps and colored pensils, does that count? LOL

Where can I find an "adult" coloring book?
I second that! I have 4 bookcases filled with these kinds of scenarios. 10 seconds from midnight looks like to me.Wow.
Just wow
Buy another bag of something NOW! Mix 10% with the "good stuff", then increase it over time ... it's likely to reduce the chances of them refusing to est the new stuff...

Ha! That's why I called it a "grown up" coloring book vs. adult. I'm sure if you look hard enough though you could find one. Or maybe a new business idea??

They don't make 'em like they used to.I did a small curbside order this morning:
Original amount was $51:
Diet Coke 12 pack cans
Deli chicken (lunchmeat)
Chocolate cookies (fresh)
5 Bananas
2 Avocados
2 Tomatoes
Cross rib roast to make stew (asked for the smallest possible)
Chicken breast (2 pack)
18 Eggs
10# Ice
Dill pickle slices
1# Bacon
only thing they were out of was Diet Coke (12 pack cans) but on the chicken she gave me a family pack with 7 breasts for the same price and the roast I ordered was a cross rib on sale and she gave me a 2 pack for less than the original cost. My bill ended up being only $33.
Oh and I stopped at Walgreen's and got my Frito's LOL. I don't need the huge bag so got a smaller one

I guess I don't get out enough the first thing that came to my mind is: RAM EM!!!!! When i do go out I have to use one of those motor cart things and I'm afraid I would have just shot right into their cart acting like a ditz saying "Excuse me" and grabbed what the heck I wanted... LOL (That's why hubby don't let me out much)Wow.
Just wow
