Ohboy.....mama used to get after us with a fly swatter too. One day I did a reach around for self preservation and grabbed it accidental like out of her hand totally by accident. Yep that's my story. Couldn't bring myself to give it back.

This place is too valuable for that. I understand people get heated, and things happen, but the trends are the concern. The worst outcome is that people do not post information or do not debate because of what they expirienced or think they will expirience here. That is why I come to TB. For a sweet sweet bit of actual academic debate and assessment from both sides of an issue. We have no other refuge.

I heard that, they were here locally in certain HyVee’s and most are gone now less than three years later. I tried it once and for the money wil” stick with Burger King.

I own a TV because I prefer to watch movies on BluRay with no adverts. Most times when I can actually have time for myself, I knit and in the evenings, I read. I never intended to come off as holier than thou by stating these things. Just my life and what works for me. A lot of people think a comment is directed towards them in anger or because the poster is holier than thou. Why? Lotsa peeps with their stinger out.
I remember a time in the not too distant past when we all were a loving supportive Family.
That we are at each other's throats tells me something is fixing to blow sideways. Millwright has too much on his plate right now to have to do this.

Every single one of us is under a lot of stress. Some more than others and this includes the Mods. Let's cut everyone, ourselves included, some slack and think a few times before we hit that reply button. If there is a poster in particular that is trying to put your boobs in the wringer then put them on ignore. They could be trolls, they could be know-it-all's, they could just be super stressed out without the coping skills to deal with it.
I'm not looking for a kinder, gentler TB2K ... ain't happening. What we don't need is to descend to the level of some former members that are no longer amongst us because they liked to get people's panties in a knot.

There is someone here who I think does not like me. They have openly attacked me. I am wondering if they sent me a nasty personal email so I have refused to check the mail as I am sensitive and don't want any more stress. I have 4 un opened email. I don't need to be put down again. I won't open them. I have never attacked any one here and am nice to everyone. Sorry, but I just can't bear opening the mail. I've been called certifiably nuts.

Thread drifts (fairly normal thing) turning into nasty exchanges with personal jabs.
It's going to stop.
I understand that there is a huge amount of tension in the world right now AND we tend to see most of it...in real time.
There have been several instances where the bickering has been directed to TIO. Some peeps seem to forget this.
We (staff) have enough crap going on in our own lives and don't need to be spending time babysitting a bunch of butt-hurt & sniping.
If you have an issue with someone, start a thread in TIO and send or post a link to whoever.
Failure to do this will result in the Bounce button being applied, with prejudice.

You should use the "Report" function for posts like that.
I don't think there is any way for another member to get your email in this software. In the old software, IIRC, there was an option for "send email" but they didn't actually see your address.

Yep....my Mom did that to me and my younger brother. Sent us out for a "switch".....we brought back a LOG. She grabbed us each by the ear in a Ninja move and dragged our arses across the yard to the WILLOW tree and TAUGHT us what the proper size of a Willow Switch was and then we proceeded to DANCE around the back yard while she went RAMBO on us. OUCH!! That memory STILL HURTS and leaves a mark!
Oh growing up back in the day BEFORE time outs!! Sweeeeeet (painful) memories!
