This has been an increasing trend around here.

Thread drifts (fairly normal thing) turning into nasty exchanges with personal jabs.

It's going to stop.


I understand that there is a huge amount of tension in the world right now AND we tend to see most of it...in real time.

There have been several instances where the bickering has been directed to TIO. Some peeps seem to forget this.

We (staff) have enough crap going on in our own lives and don't need to be spending time babysitting a bunch of butt-hurt & sniping.

If you have an issue with someone, start a thread in TIO and send or post a link to whoever.


Failure to do this will result in the Bounce button being applied, with prejudice.

Usually of geological origins. I'm seeing the uptick in sniping on FB and twatter as well... oh and the holier than thou I don't eat fast food, I don't own or watch tv, or I don't have a social media account also needs to come to an end. If it wasn't for us junk food eating, news watching, social media lurking trolls, members here wouldn't know half of what's going on out there!

Yup. If you noticed I've been rather quiet (for me) on fakebook too. Even had to boot a couple RL friends because of the nastiness.
GAWD, I need a Big Mac!

This right here!!!! God forbid you say something about sports or a tv show. All the “I never watch tv, I hate all athletes in all sports, I am far too good for all that” people pile on as if they get extra credit points for being above such things

Yep, Dennis wants us to post more news stories and if we do post them we get a beat down from the experts here... a lot of the news stories I pick up I get off of social media and I tend to say where I found them and will often link others so that they can see the brain dead sheeple comments there. And yes we really are that far down the rabbit hole, aka it's no longer 1939!

As bad as it is in here, the meat world is 10x worse.

While a "collective consciousness" is a bit far fetched for my lowly brain to understand, I can't discard such a concept after witnessing the increasing daily craziness and meanness Joe 6 Pack exhibits daily.

Has nothing to do with the decline of general civility around here.

Trends...I notice them.

Today is a good day to kick the trash can around the office.


I just saved @Dennis Olson the effort of having to do the same. He probably wouldn't have sugar coated it like I did.
