I've spent about 5 months in Japan on vacation.
"Their culture is very over sexualized."
I never saw ANYTHING to validate this statement when I was in Japan.

Most the Japanese I have meet in the US, ain't had any problems.

I watch The NHK Japanese channel on DirectV (322) all the time and that style is indeed the ‘Lolita’ look.
back in the 80’s I used to wear a very mild version of that look (Not cartoonish like they do now) with lace thigh high stockings. V

My husband said the same thing for years.
He said that Asian/Jap chicks don’t turn him on.
So a situation arose amongst a group of our friends when we were on Kauai, and I being blonde and blue eyed, told my husband that I’m a Hapa girl (in Hawaiian) or Kwota (1/4 Japanese) and that he’d been banging an ‘Asian chick’ unbeknownst to him for the last 35 years and that no, contrary to his Southern jokes to his buddies, we don’t have ‘sideways P*****s’.
And that after all these years, he not once asked me why my eyes are slanted. Lol! V

It is interesting finding out the misconceptions people still have about Orientals even now days with the availability of communications.
Been married to a Taiwan girl since the 80s. Seen the island change quite a bit. My first trip there in the early 80s they still had AAA on the tops of some of the buildings and MP stations along with normal police stations, in the major cities. Within 5 years that was all gone with no trace of either.
Got a brother in law at 6'4" and another at 6'2". The short one is 5'10".
Fantastic place to visit.

High school band! Now I have talked with a number of people that have been to Japan and one thing they had all noticed is most all the buildings have low doorways and the inside the building seems to match that too as most of the country the population is all on the short side and if your 5'10" or taller you you tower over the top of most of the people there.
