Twitter explodes over Russian army recruitment ad compared to 'woke' US version: 'We are doomed'
Yael Halon3-3 minutes 5/19/2021

'Pick your fighter,' one user wrote alongside the edited video

The U.S. Army gave the CIA a run for its money earlier this month with the release of a new "woke" animated, fairytale-style, recruitment ad that tells the story of a current Army corporal with two moms who married after one of them survived a severe car accident.

The May 4 video comes as part of the Army's new recruitment campaign, "The Calling," which depicts the diverse stories of five different service members. The video comes after the Central Intelligence Agency faced backlash for a series of "woke" recruitment ads as the two agencies look to expand their applicant pool.

"It begins in California with a little girl raised by two moms," the narrator, Cpl. Emma Malonelord, says in the video. "Although I had a fairly typical childhood, took ballet, played violin, I also marched for equality. I like to think I've been defending freedom from an early age."

The video sparked an immediate online reaction, with critics warning that the "joke" of an ad would undermine confidence in the strength of the U.S. military. The video resurfaced on social media on Wednesday when one user posted a side-by-side comparison of the U.S. army ad to the Russian military's, noting the stark comparison between America's recruitment efforts and that of its adversaries.

"We are so doomed," Media Research Center's Dan Gainor wrote alongside the edited clip.

"Russians are building a military focused on killing people and breaking things. We're apparently building a military focused on being capable of explaining microaggressions and critical race theory to Afghan Tribesmen," John Hawkins concurred.

One user posted a screenshot of the Russian soldier featured in the clip alongside the animated princess-like character shown in the U.S. version with a caption that read, "Pick your fighter."

A former U.S. army recruiter took to Twitter to voice his frustration.

"There are no words!!" he wrote. "No Question!! After serving for over a decade it’s hard to watch…"

"For those who keep saying "yet the US military is better". Yes...... because the US military was built off the back of what the Russians are currently doing with theirs. When China & Russia overtake the US, we'll all know why," a user warned.

"It's pathetic and shameful," wrote another. "Not the military we used to be. Hard to be proud of this. Our military deserves better representation than this crap."

There was a period where due to technological advances, missiles, nuclear weapons, where many pronounced the “Foot Soldier” and maneuver units as relics and things of the past. Of course this foolishness was proven to be the misguided and wishful claptrap it was by the 60’s and Viet Nam.

Here we go again. We’re going to have a kinder, gentler military awash with social justice and Progressive Red indoctrination. Which will result iN us getting our asses handed to us on some battlefield. Will we have the time, willingness and ability to recover? Or will we be a letter day Rome, ravaged and abused by the savages?

What’s referred to frequently as the “Army of Northern Virginia” is the military wing of the CIA.

CIA PM (paramilitary) - remember this?

Pentagon must continue military support to CIA's counterterrorism operations - Washington Times

The failure of the CIA run paramilitary invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs basically got Defense Department support of any CIA PM activity above small size turned off once before, under JFK. See Operation Switchback - Operation Switchback (researchgate.net)

History is ... interesting.

BTW, those looking at community based defense (military) could do worse than to explore the model laid out under the CIDG Program in South Vietnam. The main issue there as I see it in superimposing this template currently is lack of logistics and support.

A more realistic picture might be gained from David Donovan's Once A Warrior King, the story of one Marine officer's experiences in the USMC's approach to village defence.
For the book see Once A Warrior King: Memories of an Officer in Vietnam by David Donovan (goodreads.com)
See At the Leading Edge of Counterinsurgency (historynet.com) for more on the overall MAT program.

My youngest son was on the USMC track, with MARSOC in his sights. He started training last year, with the goal of joining in 2023. The kid is DRIVEN. Does NOT quit. And at the moment, is in Olympic condition. He had been talking to former service guys to get their input on training/conditioning so he would be ahead of the pack when he joined... Then Joe happened.

My son is still training, but now it's more out of habit and maintaining the relationships he built last year. The USMC just lost out on a fantastic recruit.

It has been bittersweet for me as a dad, because my son has had MARSOC on the brain for years, and I wanted to see him achieve that goal. He came out of the womb wired for extreme sports and martial action, and seeing how the political moves of late have made that pursuit "unwise" for him, has been gut wrenching. On the other hand, the dad in me is glad he won't end up trapped in a PC military that puts him at risk with a Foo-Foo ROE or compromising social policies.

Now we're working on alternatives, but when you wanted chocolate, carob is a poor substitute.

“The Activity”
The ISA is part of JSOC.
( ISA = United States Army Intelligence Support Activity (USAISA), usually referred to as the Intelligence Support Activity, or just, "The Activity". JSOC = Joint Special Operations Command.)

"Yes," they will perform ops requested by the CIA, but so do SFOD-D and DEVGU, etc...
(SFOD-D = Delta Force. DEVGRU = Naval Special Warfare Development Group (NSWDG), abbreviated as DEVGRU. AKA: SEAL Team Six.)

I think you might be confusing "The Activity" with the CIA's Special Activities Center - those guys are "fully" CIA, and conduct Direct Action.

Most US Citizens do not have much cause to interact with the US Military. If you happen to have family members in the Military they are not at liberty to discuss what they know or suspect. SO, you probably have not been aware of the changes in our military and how they may affect you.

At the current time, with the Global Crisis growing all around us, this is a time when we need to depend greatly on the Armed Forces to protect and defend us. I thought we should take a look at our military to get a better idea of their ability to perform as expected.

We will also take a look at some of the forces against which they will soon be engaged, if they are not already. Then we will take a look at the history of the America and what made our Country Great and what has brought us down.

Army Cadets on Campus Forced to Wear Red High Heels and Raise Awareness of Debunked ‘Rape Culture’
BY DEBRA HEINE / APR 21, 2015 3:56 PM ET

Those who did their homework in 2008 knew that when Barack Obama was elected, all aspects of American society would suffer unprecedented levels of left-wing lunacy, but did anyone think it would come to this?

MILITARY-IN-HEELS-DUO-300x90.jpg

Patriotic young cadets — America’s future warrior — pressured to walk around in bright red high heels on campus — against their will — or face retribution.I don’t even know what to say…Via the Washington Times:

Army ROTC cadets are complaining on message boards that they were pressured to walk in high heels on Monday for an Arizona State University campus event designed to raise awareness of sexual violence against women.
The Army openly encouraged participating in April’s “Walk A Mile in Her Shoes” events in 2014, but now it appears as though ROTC candidates at ASU were faced with a volunteer event that became mandatory.
“Attendance is mandatory and if we miss it we get a negative counseling and a ‘does not support the battalion sharp/EO mission’ on our CDT OER for getting the branch we want. So I just spent $16 on a pair of high heels that I have to spray paint red later on only to throw them in the trash after about 300 of us embarrass the U.S. Army tomorrow,” one anonymous cadet wrote on the social media sharing website Imgr, IJReview reported Monday.
Military-in-Heels-3-300x187.png

The only silver lining to this story is that comments on social media — Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and Tumblr — have been overwhelmingly negative. In fact, I have yet to see a comment in support of this embarrassing nonsense.
“This makes me want to throw up!” said one Twitter user. “No doubt…. Too many mentally ill people have gotten into positions of power who then put their mentally ill friends into power,” said a another savvy tweeter.
In a Reddit discussion thread on the subject — titled, “Okay, who put the cadets up to this?” — a user confirmed that the claims were legitimate and added, “I just don’t understand why [General] Combs would court political controversy like this. Isn’t the military supposed to avoid faddish political movement and religious issues.”

During the Obama years, the military has become a hostile environment for Christian chaplains, and Christians in general. By the spring of 2013 — after Obama had been safely reelected — the hostility became palpable. That April, it was widely reported that an Army instructor in Pennsylvania had labeled evangelical Christians, Catholics, Orthodox Jews and Mormons “religious extremists” alongside Hamas and al Qaeda during an Army Reserve Equal Opportunity training brief on extremism. Later that month, an Army officer at Ft. Campbell, KY, sent an email to subordinates using similar descriptions to describe two mainstream Christian ministries that were put in the same category as Neo-Nazis, racist skinheads, white nationalists and the Ku Klux Klan. Shortly after that, the United States Army blocked the website of the Southern Baptist Convention from government computers.

Now we see the fundamental transformation of our military taking giant (and high-heeled) strides at ROTC detachments at college campuses.

Said my 14-year-old daughter as she happened by my computer while the photo of the cadets wearing heels was displayed: “Welp — there goes the military.”

It all depends on what commercial you watch.
The US military has been engaged in combat for the last 20 years, non stop.
Guys who served during 9-11 now have their sons serving.
The US military has acquitted itself pretty damn well over the last 2 decades in spite of panty waste politicians and the general population being filled with SJWs. The mid east war has produced a better quality military than we had during Vietnam and through the Carter years.

In some respects the military is a natural filtering out of the garbage that passes for the average civilian now days.
Yeah some liberals and SJW idiots sneak through, but overall the military is a better class of people than any random sampling of the civilian population . The gene pool they draw from, which is us and our children's children , is deteriorating rapidly. :shk:
Also every generation in the military pretty much disparages the ones that come after them. It's tradition. ;)

The only good thing about this there are about to some very shocked new recruits when they meet the enemy and find out the enemy does not care about their feelings, how many variations of gay they are and there are NO safe spaces to hide in. I can hear it now, the 1st Amazon Battalion has joined the war effort or did until someone told a 'women are bad drivers' joke and they all walked off the job because of a hostile work environment with male co-workers. Of course they don't have a problem with America's enemies firing at them because they are in an army of color and we white Americans deserve to be shot at by them.

The real possibility is our enemies are going to be emboldened by this weak move and start making moves against American interest with no fear. Chalk another one up for Joe Bidet, he found a new way to weaken America and I hope the enemy takes him out first if they ever invade.
