I mentioned this to a mutual friend, who owns a restaurant. He said there is a shortage of chicken wings in the restaurant industry and he is limited to two cases a week from his supplier. He told me that he is about to have to limit menu selections to pizza only, no more subs or wings because he is so short handed and can't get any one to work there. He told me that three competing businesses did not even open several days last week due to no one willing to work there. It put extra pressure on his business because the customers had less choices for this type of food.

I discussed all of the above with another friend who told me that his cousin just drove 250 miles from Miami to central FL to buy a truck load of drywall mud because there is none to be had in S. Florida at any price. He bought as much as his truck could hold and headed back south so he could finish the house he is working on.

When I got back to the shop my machinist was on the phone with a metal supplier trying to find out why our latest batch of billet aluminum, that was 45 minutes away this morning (And a week late) , ended up 110 miles away going the other direction. Once again, no trucks to deliver it from where it was, they will try to ship tomorrow from 3x farther away.

The above is just what I encountered TODAY. These commie demoncrats are deliberately trying to destroy this country so they can say "See, capitalism is a failure" and usher in communism.

Illegals don't have to work anymore either. They are getting stimulus payments, too, and are out there partying it up in ThemeparkAmerica.

Most of them really believe that a crash can't happen here --- not in America. Besides, they believe that life is supposed to be fair and that by golly someone is responsible for taking care of them. Just listen to them and they'll tell you that you're crazy, the economy will come back after daddy government gets rid of this pestilence and joe really cares about them.

This site is a rarity. Folks come here because they already got it a long time ago or have been awakened and are trying to find their way. There are an awfully large number of people that have never known real hard times like the depression or what third world countries go through just to get a meal every day.

As long as they have their iPhones and internet, can go to wally-world and get their chips and beer, they don't see the inflation or any of the rest going on.

My hermit friend says that this will be our last summer! He says farmers are culling their herds cuz can't feed them. Another friend says that they are gonna cull the Human herd and not just animals. He also said that there is a large Realter company that is buying up land in the country and building slum apts 20 stories high and renting to poor white trash people. I could look up the name. It's on his text.

The economy. Without a functional economy-a sound money system-nothing works. We are Venezuela walking.
As soon as the food system totally ceases to function, no one will care about who is working and who isn't.
When the rolling blackouts progress to total blackouts, no one will care who is getting unemployment.

My son in Alberta Canada, gets offers of employment from USA every week, sometimes several a week. Mostly they are from Texas and Florida and Washington state, for advanced computer work - he has a lot of experience and is contracting for an International company out of Vancouver for a year or so. Mostly this is oil related work, and makes us wonder where did all the American employees go last two years, when he was looking to change jobs up here.

Our son in law is contracting Gas and Oil Wells and is very well regarded and has only shut down for the Road Bans right now - we hear Canadian oil patch is slow, but he had to turn down contracts to take time off - he is worn out. Two years ago he couldn't get much work and tried the USA, but Trump had shut down all foreign workers Visas.

So are all these oilpatch employees all getting money from the US .gov - not nearly enough to cover their incomes. It is a mystery who is needing all this computer and oil work done......

I have family in Calgary, both work in the oil industry. They've been having things on/off/on unstable for several years now.

tubemate is an android smartphone youtube downloader, if anyone is needing one and has a fast wifi connection.

'Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express' is a good firefox plugin youtube downloader.

Stocking up on how to videos is a really good idea right now.

I'm waiting on estimates on various projects/properties- and fully expecting to hear that some of the work can't be done at any price due to shortages. . .

Unfortunately, I still have 12 billion miles of fencing and posts, so there will be no escaping my own projects :(
I typically run a year or two out wrt supplies, but I'm already cringing in expectation that there's something I'll have forgotten

Planned collapse? Will the government have to step in with price controls; regulated, rationed distribution; drafted essential workforce?

I listened to a very interesting interview today with Steve Bannon's War Room and Clyde Prestowitz. They talked about the American miscalculation that exposure to Western free enterprise would bring China to individual rights and freedoms. What it did was to eventually change America into more of a totalitarian state.

You now see the elites gushing in admiration for the efficiency of the Chinese system in handling problems. Looks like we have entered the glide path to a similar totalitarian system.
