COMMUNISM Several sobering conversations today

I was speaking to a former LEO captain today that I have known most of my life. His in-laws own large chicken farms. They are killing most of their birds since the big meat processors can't get anyone to work for them. Even when they have an order, they cant schedule a truck because of the shortage of truckers. The workers are still at home on covid unemployment making more than the ever have before.

I mentioned this to a mutual friend, who owns a restaurant. He said there is a shortage of chicken wings in the restaurant industry and he is limited to two cases a week from his supplier. He told me that he is about to have to limit menu selections to pizza only, no more subs or wings because he is so short handed and can't get any one to work there. He told me that three competing businesses did not even open several days last week due to no one willing to work there. It put extra pressure on his business because the customers had less choices for this type of food.

I discussed all of the above with another friend who told me that his cousin just drove 250 miles from Miami to central FL to buy a truck load of drywall mud because there is none to be had in S. Florida at any price. He bought as much as his truck could hold and headed back south so he could finish the house he is working on.

When I got back to the shop my machinist was on the phone with a metal supplier trying to find out why our latest batch of billet aluminum, that was 45 minutes away this morning (And a week late) , ended up 110 miles away going the other direction. Once again, no trucks to deliver it from where it was, they will try to ship tomorrow from 3x farther away.

The above is just what I encountered TODAY. These commie demoncrats are deliberately trying to destroy this country so they can say "See, capitalism is a failure" and usher in communism.

Democrats are using the tools the voters gave them in previous elections. The 2020 election just proved out to them that performance in office no longer has consequence - so now they're free to use the public largess to compete unfairly in the marketplace for discretionary labor, undermine the economy, and thereby further solidify their control.

Pretty soon if not already, a majority of American will be dependent upon their "betters" for what little life they're allowed.

A very busy Starbucks near me was closed today (again). Worker at shop next door said they don't have enough workers to stay open. Sometimes they close the drive thru and just do indoor buys only as well. This drive thru gets long lines.

He said workers making more on unemployment and seems to think it was recently extended (not sure on that).

Our government is systematically destroying our manufacturing for their new green deal. They will be paying people to stay home for quite some time. These people are easily making over 30k a year.
Why do you think Biden is importing illegals. The new work force for his new green deal

Thinwater, if it were me, I wouldn’t wait for the supplier to deliver the billet aluminum, I’d go straight there and pick it up myself so there aren’t anymore delivery screwups.

And when there, try to pick up anymore items that you’ll need in the future. V

That folk would sit on their ass waiting for more free $$$ while witnessing our
economical destruction speaks to the character of fellow American'ts.

Not really. If you were on the Titanic and you were a janitor, would you continue to mop up while it was sinking, or would you find the nearest bar and start enjoying the booze?

I like boats ... but I'd grab a case or two and and anything I though might float and over the rail I'd go.

The local Dollar store is closing it's doors ... this small community is rather dependant on it
and those staffing it are part of the dependent community.

Correct. And that is exactly what those folks on unemployment are doing. The friggen ship is sinking.
Guys going to work as a busboy or burger flipper or truck driver will not plug the hole in the ship.

These are 5,000 to 7,000 lb loads coming from different parts of the USA. Our monthly forging order (uppers and lowers) weighs over 10,000 lbs (See picture below) and comes from Weyers Cave Virginia. forgings.jpg

And you know what, I have applied for many jobs in the last several months. I am 60 years old and have physical reasons for why I can not do a 40 hour work week, yet, they have ALL turned me down if I do not submit myself to 40 hours a week.
My experience (in my mind) could be invaluable, but if you cannot subject yourself to their slavery hours you do not count. I am sick of their whining! the older workforce is willing, but many of us can not do a 40 hour work week!

Same here, I am over the 40 hours (and it is usually more than that) slavery.
If they would let us do part time and ditch the mask bs, I'd be all in.

I was retired but went back to work because they can't find anyone and it is nearly impossible to find a CNC programmer/set up person. Button pushers are getting hard to find, programmers, forgetaboutit.

Alexander Fraser Tytler:
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.

The Democrats simply have found a way to bypass the voting process, and are proceeding directly to the collapse - and this a conscious direction as they think they have something better - for them.

As to the character of fellow Americans - they're only doing what human nature and free enterprise would do. The stage was actually set in previous generations when Democrats were elected on the most humane of motivation ("For the Children) but are now using this power to further your enslavement and gain better for themselves on your back.

A similar and economically opposed destruction could be created by Republicans who eliminate all restraint in the marketplace, allow unlimited pollution by elimination of rules, and removal of all trade protections. This "for the investors" and would create a business climate of unbridled profit. Of course this profit has to come from someone - somewhere. Like taxes of the case above this from the pockets of the consumer. It is possible to kill the economic goose by either too much government or too little government.

Trump's success was in balancing these two opposing thoughts.

Biden's failure will be the goose carcass left when his Marxist Owners are done.

Don’t let the Piss Ants get you down…
I'll add a comment about the shortage of transportation and thus, materials. As Covid wound up, many trucking companies pulled back on expansion and even parked some amount of their capacity as many types of demand (not grocery!) dropped. Now that things are getting moving again, fleets are finding themselves behind the eight ball, capacity wise. Not only is there the problem of getting more rolling stock, which has to be manufactured, the drivers who were idled and many who would have gone into driving (a hard way to make a living) aren't doing that now, because as folks have pointed out, they can stay home and make out better than if they were driving. There is a real possibility that they aren't paying rent, they can't be evicted and the gubermint checks never stop. Why work?

I'm not convinced of that, yet. I think it far more likely that it's just plain stupidity of 50% of a population of born and raised underachievers looking for a free ride, and stupidity of myopic democrats that give it to them. It's the inevitable progression from complacency to dependency, ultimately followed by communism as a last resort. The slow death of a nation that failed to water the tree of liberty from time to time.

It won't affect me personally because I'll likely be dead before it hits bottom. The ones I feel sorry for is the few in the younger generations that were raised properly, understand the requirements for sustaining a healthy nation and will put forth the effort all their life ... for nothing.
