CORONA Resurgence in hospitalisations and deaths is dominated by those that have received two doses of the vaccine

UK scientists: “Resurgence in hospitalisations and deaths is dominated by those that have received two doses of the vaccine.”

Hopes that life may soon be back to normal were dashed by Boris Johnson this week when he indicated that restrictions would remain in place to prevent a deadly third coronavirus wave.

Predictably, the announcement relied on unduly pessimistic modeling, which suggested a full release from lockdown in June could trigger a new wave of hospital admissions every bit as bad as the January peak and result in up to 59,900 deaths.
Now, buried down below in the article by the Telegraph:

32. The resurgence in both hospitalisations and deaths is dominated by those that have received two doses of the vaccine, comprising around 60% and 70% of the wave respectively. This can be attributed to the high levels of uptake in the most at-risk age groups, such that immunisation failures account for more serious illness than unvaccinated individuals. This is discussed further in paragraphs 55 and 56.

Who becomes seriously ill in a resurgence?
55. Figure 11 illustrates the age and vaccination status of those hospitalised (left) and dying (rig t) over time in Warwi ’s entral s enario for t e w ole Roadmap (equivalent to igure 4). The top plots are absolute numbers and the bottom plots are as a proportion of those admitted or dying.
56. This shows that most deaths and admissions in a post-Roadmap resurgence are in people who have received two vaccine doses, even without vaccine protection waning or a variant emerging that escapes vaccines. This is because vaccine uptake has been so high in the oldest age groups (modelled here at 95% in the over 50-year olds). There are therefore 5% of over 50-year olds who have not been vaccinated, and 95% x 10% = 9.5% of over 50-year olds who are vaccinated but, nevertheless, not protected against death. This is not the result of vaccines being ineffective, merely uptake being so high.

Sorry about the jumbled up OP, this article just kept screwing up when I tried posting it.

My question is at the bottom: I'm not understanding this .

Logic. It’s annoying. /s

I have come to the conclusion just based on things I have seen that the Two-fer shot is a good deal stronger than J&J and causes a lot of people who are older to have a super reaction bc what they “think” is that everyone over x-age do not have a great immune system because the older you get, the less your system reacts immunity-wise.

THIS IS WHERE ALMOST ALL MEDICINE SCREWS UP. People were not made from cookie cutters and an assumption will bite you every time.

*ATTN: post made in non-caffeinated state. If it makes no sense, it is probably not you.

I think what they're trying to say is that most new hospitalizations of the virus are among those who have already been vaccinated.

Some here put it to the vaccination as "ineffectual" or "makes you more susceptible."

It could be that most new cases are among the "more aged" who by now have had the vaccine.

So is one vaccinated and more susceptible? Or is one "aged" and more susceptible?

The vaccines - any of them - are not panacea. Rather they make cases when they occur somehow "less." Perhaps to the point of "sniffles" - but more likely with the aged "an illness." Possibly for the aged a hospital admittance.

I will not rule out genetic modification that might increase susceptibility. A bench rifle can be "zeroed" perfectly, but its useless as a general defensive weapon - until taken from the bench.

Just outlining the possible premise.

Great, both my parents are in their 80s and insisted on getting both jabs. Worse they are really putting me through the wringer trying to convince me to get the two jabs with the guilt trip.

Can't blame them much. I mean, they're in their 80s. They're probably taking precautions in a LOT of areas.

My folks just turned 70 not long ago and they're considering it. They figure it's not much different than their regular flu shots.

That's the English I'm reading. You know that was the problem with SARS Cov-1, immunity lead to death in the test animals when presented with the virus in round 2.

I think this whole thing has been SARS. It has been floating around for how long?

Tell them that you spoke with your doctor, and they told you to wait until you can receive the vax at their office. Something about insurance and ramble on about how beautiful your azaleas are this year...

Or, say, hold on, here’s a phone call from... I need to take it. Mute your phone and come back and get on another subject.

You have to check on your cake in the oven, can you hold on a minute?

Just ramble about “stuff”. Maybe they will begin to believe YOU have a problem and really need a check up.

Yes, that’s truly wrong, but point is, at some time, you have to figure out a way to derail older people so they talk about something else and get off whatever it is you don’t want to be talked to death about.

Sometimes, you have to save yourself!!

this is a video of a scientist interview about this. some do not like who it is, but it isn't about that person. i think i got the video lined up to the right spot, but if i didn't, it starts at 37 minutes. first, it is the two scientist talking. then, it is another person giving a more dumbed down and visual explanation.

again, this isn't about endorsing the scientist or not, or anything other than an explanation for the meaning, so let's not get hung up on whether or not we like, dislike, trust, distrust this scientist. i only post this for the explanation.

Easy. One or more of the multistage vaxes is a net negative on life expectancy. It's pretty obvious.
As it is quoted that the vaccines are only about 90% effective, I fail to see your point. If I read the OP correctly, the failures are drawn from a heavily vaccinated cohort. So failures would naturally be drawn from already vaccinated people being they are the most of the population. And as I noted, we can expect 10% failures.

And it's also been reported in numerous locals that besides bad reactions to these "vaccines" we're seeing reported more cases of people who have had the shot series weeks ago coming down with full blown Covid. One big cluster that they're trying to tap dance around is an outbreak involving both residents and staff at the CA Veterans' Home up in Wine Country. The spin the MSM is being given is that they're looking into the possibility that the Veterans' Home got a defective batch!

I believe UK had the Astra Zeneca vaccine. That was the one found to be associated with blood clots. We don't have that one in the US, although there also have been a few issues with blood clotting. Here, they are finding some incidence of catching COVID after vaccination, but chalking it up to "not fully vaccinated until 2 weeks after last shot" or must have had the disease when became vaccinated.

Wheat or Tare, which are you?
A bench rifle can be "zeroed" perfectly, but its useless as a general defensive weapon - until taken from the bench.
But you can't "zero" a so called vaccine with it's copious variations of the ingredients of the manufacturing process.

Remember Astra Zenca screwed up 10 million doses and the gov kicked them out of the facility and told J&J to finish the contract themselves?
