Russian Troop Buildup Near Ukraine Largest Since War Outbreak, Monitor Says - The Moscow Times
The Moscow Times

3 minutes

Russia has amassed the largest concentration of troops on its border with Ukraine since the eastern Ukraine conflict first erupted in 2014, The Insider investigative news website reported Wednesday, citing military analysts.
Recent Russian military movements and an increase in clashes between Ukrainian forces and pro-Russian separatists have raised fears of an escalation in the long-simmering war.

The Russian military has deployed motorized rifle, artillery and airborne as well as likely tank units near Ukraine, according to a group of Russian military bloggers known as the Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) cited by The Insider.
“We haven’t seen such a concentration of troops since the hot phase of the war in Ukraine in 2014-15,” CIT said.
“Such a large-scale transfer of forces could be explained by strategic (rather than local) exercises, but the next such maneuvers are only scheduled for September,” it added.

Using the online wagon and container tracking service GdeVagon, the group said it tracked the Russian troops, including the air assault division that was involved in the 2014 conflict, arriving in annexed Crimea and the border region of Voronezh.
CIT noted however that it did not yet see signs of Russia readying for a direct invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine last week accused Russia of massing thousands of military personnel on its northern and eastern borders as well as on the Crimean peninsula.
Kiev's Western allies have rushed to its defense with a series of statements warning Russia against taking further action and seeking explanations for its troop buildup.

The Kremlin has not denied the troop movements but insisted that Moscow was "not threatening anyone.”
The reports of a Russian buildup follow a dramatic increase in clashes along the frontline in recent weeks, with Ukraine announcing new deaths of its soldiers almost daily. Moscow and Kiev have accused each other of being behind the renewed clashes.

The conflict in the mainly Russian-speaking Donbass region broke out in 2014 following Moscow's annexation of Crimea and has since claimed more than 13,000 lives.
The separatists are widely seen as having Russia's political and military backing, which Moscow denies.
Fighting had subsided before the latest outbreak of violence, with a ceasefire agreed last year having seen clashes drop to their lowest level in years.

Leader of DPR: Donbass will not abandon its historical path - Essence of Time

2-3 minutes

07.04.2021, Donetsk.
The Donbass will build a state despite Kiev’s shelling and provocations and will transfer its culture and traditions to future generations, the leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said in a congratulatory address to the republic’s citizens published on the official website of the head of state on April 7.

Addressing his fellow citizens, the head of the republic reminded that seven years ago the citizens of Donbass “declared their right to statehood at the international level” and built the state for seven years amidst the Ukrainian army’s shelling and provocations.

“The historical path we are on entails difficulties and trials,” Pushilin said. “But no one will ever force us refuse of the memory, the culture, the traditions that we inherited from our ancestors and that we are obliged to transfer to future generations.”
The head of the DPR reminded that “Donbass symbolizes the fortress of the Russian world” and assured fellow citizens of the definitive victory.

After the coup d’état in Ukraine, residents of the southeastern Ukraine – historically Russian regions of the country – rebelled against the Ukrainian nationalists who seized power. By April 6, protesters in Donetsk had seized regional administration buildings, and as early as April 7, 2014, the establishment of the Donetsk People’s Republic was announced.

Maybe Kerry asked to meet Lavrov to find a way down from the ledge, with the Bungling Biden Team having completely mis-judged Putin's reaction to threats to retake Crimea.

And did anyone else wonder if Hunter got off of the plane later after Jill came down in her dirty step mom costume?
He supposedly has a thing for Biden women and girls. The next laptop he loses could be a doozy.
Sorry for the drift.

Ukraine brings terror: France and Russia put nuclear strike forces on standby - In the air 50 Rafale-Mirage and in dispersal areas Russian ICBM missiles While American strategic bombers B-1 Lancer were flying over the Aegean sea aimed at Russia

WarNews 247
April 7 2021

For the first time in several years, France and Russia simultaneously raised the alarm of their nuclear forces as American strategic B-1 Lancer bombers flew over the Aegean Sea in a simulated strike against Russia.

The development is directly related to what is happening in Ukraine and the fact of mobilizing 3 nuclear forces is only good.

Let us not forget that France is preparing for the greatest war preparation of its Armed Forces in decades.

On standby the French nuclear power

France has put its nuclear power on standby by taking off at least 50 aircraft in a simulated attack with ASMP missiles.

The nuclear strike exercise is codenamed "Poker". The French Generals chose the exercise to take place now in the midst of a Russian-Ukrainian crisis.

France has mobilised Rafale and Mirage 2000N fighters, WC-135 and A330 MRTTs flying tankers as well as AWACS E-3 early warning aircraft.

France's nuclear formation took off from northern Brittany, flew through the Pyrenees and carried out virtual launches over the Mediterranean.

As mentioned the exercise usually takes place at night, but this time took place during the day.

Which aircraft france took off (maps)

The French watched intense air activity as they took off:
  • 3x Boeing C-135FR (735, 739, 740),
  • 1x Boeing E-3C (204)
  • 1x Airbus A332MRTT (041)
  • 30x Dassault Rafale
  • unknown number Dassault Mirage 2000D
  • unknown number Dassault Mirage 2000-5
A total of 50 French aircraft took off from bases across France, joined over the Atlantic Ocean, then separated and entered the Mediterranean. They performed air defense drilling exercises and then "delivered" their nuclear cargo, hitting virtual targets.

Russia's Strategic Forces are on standby!

Russia has put all of its ground strategic forces on standby.

According to the announcement:

"The personnel and units of the missile formations are on high alert.
The Yars intercontinental missiles of the Omsk formation will be tested as part of the nuclear readiness exercises. There will be a Command and Readiness (KSHU) exercise along with the Barnaul missile formation (Altai).
After the completion of the exercise in the Altai area there will also be an exercise in the missile formation of Novosibirsk.
At the same time, preparedness checks will be carried out in other formations such as the Bologov missile formation (Tver area).
Time, support, security patrols, chemical and biological protection will be checked
Finally, there will be exercises to protect against sabotage of missile strategic forces.
A total of 3,000 equipment units, 15,000 personnel, 80 units of the Ground Strategic Forces will take part in the preparedness exercises.

Patrushev threatened concrete measures against Ukraine
April 7, 2021 World 0 Views

patrushev-rossiya.jpg

Moscow “monitors” the situation in Donbass and will take “concrete measures based on its development”.
This statement was made by the Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev in an interview with Kommersant. At the same time, he found that there are allegedly no intervention plans.
“We do not slip into such plans, no. But we are closely monitoring the situation. Concrete measures are being taken due to its development,” replied Patrushev when asked whether Russia is ready to openly intervene in the “conflict in Ukraine”. “
Patrushev also said that the deterioration in Donbass was allegedly “a consequence of internal problems in Ukraine”

A tiered air defense system. All the better to knock the Ukranian and NATO planes out of the sky with. If you think the Russians are just going to stop with the Crimea, keep dreaming.
I think the Russins "may" stop when they get to Ukraine's border with Poland. But they "may" not, either.

AlfaMan,

You raise some good points, I think that France and Germany may cut a deal with Russia and depending the outcome of the fighting in the Ukraine, I can see one outcome, no more NATO if Russia wins

Wonder if Germany goes in and gets to keep the land the Nordic Stream2 pipeline is on?
What would France get out of the deal.?

Let's Go Brandon!
Peoples here on this board, keep talking about the new Russia,
as if it was the old Russia from The Soviet Union.

That is totally false. The new Russia simply wants to be left
alone by the ZUSA and NATO. The new Russia basically
stated that back, right after The Soviet Union ended.

Should Russia go into The Ukraine, it will be into Donbass,
which is basically Russian, and into Crimea, which had always
been Russian until 1954, when it went from Russia SSR,
to The Ukraine SSR, all due to a power struggle in The Kremlin.

None of this would be happening, if the ZUSA had not of staged
a coup-de-etat in 2014, and overthrew the legitimate Ukraine
federal government. The Ukraine federal government at that time,
was on good terms with Russia, which the ZUSA had to change.

The ZUSA. ALWAYS in some other country's business, ALWAYS.

You want someone to blame? Look at your own country peoples.
The ZUSA is no longer the good guy, like it was for many decades.
If this trouble goes really bad, its fully the ZUSA's fault, and not Russia.

Thankfully, Russia is good with missiles, really good.
They can light some stuff up, very seriously, light it up.

Please be safe everyone. Relax if you can, the end isn't far off.

Regards to all.

Yes, I think that Germany would get back territory it lost after WW2, Territories east of the Oder-Neisse line that were transferred to Poland under the terms of the Potsdam Conference

What France would get for me is more difficult to answer, maybe a very dominant role in the EU

Russia would want the Baltic states, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania to ensure it is not threatened in that region.

Amazing and Deadly Hubris
Greetings Me Droogs N Droogettes!
Beware those who would Rest on their Laurels… and man, our current pretenders sure are banking on our ‘supposed’ victories to keep the wheels on this lash-up. The origins of that phrase lies in ancient Greece, where laurel wreaths were symbols of victory and status. Resting on them was a sure sign of decline. Rome wasn’t built in a day, but man, when it started to decline, it was like a greased ball bearing going down an 80 degree incline.

We, unfortunately/fortunately are in the same exact position.
It’s actually funny. With all due respect to my Brothers and Sisters in the Armed Forces, we really ain’t won a war since Gulf One when we beat Saddam’s Army like a rented mule. Before that? World War Two. The entire issue is the “wars” we’ve been in have been near-continually subverted for political means over the past 20 years… maybe even longer. It’s not about the win anymore.. In fact I wonder if even since the Korean War it was about the “Big Win”. Pretty much every. single. action. of international intervention we’ve participated in since the early 60’s (Nam) was predicated on financial gainzz for the corporate overlords and their political puppets.

Major General Smedley Butler had this to say:

4FA1D794-F898-4136-A25F-02AACD5F517B.jpeg

Butler was a two time winner of the Medal of Honor. Guy was purely balls-out the perfect Marine. That being said, in 1933, a group of Industrialists tried to get Butler to overthrow Roosevelt as they felt that he’s gone full Socialist/Communist. Instead he blew the whistle. Now, interestingly one of the Industrialists was a Bush… as in THE Bush family. And man, barely a mention of it in the historical record… revisionist history much?
Especially since they, the Ministry of Propaganda back then even went out of the way to discredit any and all talk about the “Industrialists Plot” as it was known as. Like buried it. Much like the TRUE Russian story, that Obama and his coterie of Red Diaper Corruptocrats tried to **** over Trump (and did) and are still causing issues to this day.

We’ve been resting on our Laurels for far too long.

For some reason, the Current Crop of Oligarchic Corruptocrats appear to have (unfortunately) bought into their own ‘press releases’ … meaning all that fawning and knob-slobbering the Ministry of Propaganda did all over Obama’s crew for their “Stunning” and “Brave” and “Highly Intelligent” handling of all domestic and foreign policy as if they were all Metternich(es)… when in reality, they bolluxed up the whole ****ing planet. Case(s) are far too numerous to list. Not here. Maybe future generations will look back and be able to analyse just what the **** went wrong and where we went sideways, but hey, it’s obvious that we had just started to recover from all the damage that the Self Declare d”Cool Kids” had wrought, and now?

In Ebonics: We’z be fukked.

Because the Russians are rolling in at least two heavy Divisions. Tanks AND artillery. Massing on the zone between the Ukraine and Crimea with an attitude of “Come at me bro!!!” which is not going to end well. Consider also that we, the Untied States of ‘Murica are sitting back and actively encouraging this stupidity. The Ukrainians, despite how hardcore crazy they are, and I know from first hand experience in Iraq in dealings with them, they’re gonna get curb-stomped by Vlad’s boys if they start to tussle. The Ukrainians I knew and partied with in Iraq were some outrageously crazy bastards. First time they showed up, with the exception of some BMPs and BTRs, they didn’t have too much as far as Armored Troop Carriers… now I know that the BMP and BTR ARE troop carriers, but the brass didn’t want IFVs rolling heavy into Baghdad. And back then Up Armored HMMWVs were few and far between, to the point that “Confederate Uparmor” was the rule of the day. “Confederate Uparmor” referred to the fact that armor back then was special steel sheeting, rough cut to be bolted onto a Regular M998 HMMVW, and with the giant assed bolts and whatnot, they started looking like Ironclads from the Civil War.

So the Ukes got old Deuce and a Halfs, that they half-assed Uparmored theyselves, and went hunting. Problem was, and I got this straight from a Gate Guard at an outer checkpoint when they came back in, they had bagged a couple of Bad Guys… real life AQI Muj… and done kil’t ’em dead like Raid. The issue was they brought back trophies… When they came back, there were 3 ‘bundles’… bloody bundles tied to the Brush Guard over the marker lights of the Deuce. Specifically the Marker Light Frames on the front bumpers.
72748998-64D1-468D-9750-8DBE1884D24E.jpeg

Tied to these were 2 on one side, one on the other. The cloth were bloody keffiyeh, or shemags as we call them in the West, leastways the surplus kids sell ’em as such. Whelp, the Ukes came in pleased as all git oot about having a ‘good killing’ and the Captain (O-3) came out to do a quickie debrief, and asked “what was in the bags?”
The Uke apparently said something along the lines of “Proof of kill.”The Captain, now cautious as all hell, went over and looked closely, and realized the Ukrainians had cut the heads off the Haj and brought them back as proof of their Daring Do and Deeds.
Needless to say, everyone ****ing wigged.

Ensue mass hilarity to the tune of “Yakkity Sax” as the Captain ’rounded up a full patrol’ to include a medic with a LOT of medical staples and rolled like madmen back to the shootout, where they unassed the trucks, grabbed the stiffs that were left behind, laoded back up (all in hostile territory) and ran back to the base, all the while with “Doc” stapling the heads back onto the (hopefully) correct carcasses.

But this’s sort of to give you (outside of High Comedic value) the fact that the Ukes don’t play themselves. They’re hardcore everloving Bastards in Combat. And them AGAINST the Russians?

Hoo Boy… THAT’ll be some killer combat footage.

And all the while, this’s being done and prodded into reality by the State Department Diplo-Dunk Assholes who’ve never humped a rifle or ever been even punched in the Face. Like that traitorous Light Birdturd Colonel Vindman and his brother. NEVER actually been in danger, and sure as ****, judging by those pasty dough-boy faces, (that I personally would love to beat on) they’ve never had their asses properly kicked in the entirety of their worthless paste-eating lives.

And all the time, the “Master Manipulators” seem to think they can “control” the “dynamic” utilizing “Defenestration and synergy to alleviate potential threat vectors” politically. In other words, They’re thinking that they can blow off Putin again, utilizing the threat of further sanctions, and that he’ll back down like a good little Rooskie.
Got a hunch that ain’t how it’s gonna play in Peoria this time man. Got a hunch Vlad smells weakness, wokeness and blood. “Go Woke, Go Broke” and the current crop of ree-rees in the White House and the Politically Appointed Perfumed Princes and Ponces on the Potomac are NOT living in the same reality that the rest of us are.
They’re fittin’ to start some shit that the rest of us are gonna have to pay the bill on. Hubris is a bad thing. In Greek tragedy, excessive pride toward or defiance of the gods, or in this case absolute reality, will lead to Nemesis.

And in Ancient Greek In ancient Greek mythology, Nemesis, also called Rhamnousia or Rhamnusia (Ancient Greek: Ῥαμνουσία; “the goddess of Rhamnous”), is the goddess who enacts retribution against those who succumb to hubris, arrogance before the gods.
At the rate these people are going, I got a feeling they’re inviting a whole lot of retribution down on us.

Brace yourselves, we’re in for a bit of Turbulence ahead methinks.

At an urgent meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas settlement held on Ukraine's initiative on Wednesday, April 7, the parties verbally confirmed their commitment to the ceasefire, while the relevant written statement was never signed due to Russia's position.
The only issue on the agenda was returning to strict adherence to the ceasefire agreements reached on July 22, 2020, as per the Ukrainian delegation.
In this regard, the report says the parties confirmed, firstly, "readiness and need to observe the ceasefire and implement the accords reached on July 22, 2020," and secondly, that "there are no additional conditions left [to fulfill] to this end."

"The Russian side demanded that additional amendments be made to the final statement's text, which, in our opinion, had an intention to show it in a more favorable light," the statement says.

"Our position: we reaffirm that we fully comply with the ceasefire and continue meaningful consultations with the aim of actually reducing the level of violence on the contact line," the Ukrainian delegation said.
The next regular TCG general meeting is scheduled for April 14.
Aggravation in Donbas: Latest
On April 6, the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group initiated an emergency meeting in connection with the latest escalation in the country's east.

On March 26, four Ukrainian servicemen were killed and another two – injured by enemy forces near Shumy. Four more soldiers were killed on April 5-6.
The escalation is unfolding amid Russia's moves to deploy troops and military equipment closer to Ukraine borders, as well as to the occupied Crimea, which caused concern in Ukraine and among its western partners, including NATO.

Veteran Intelligence Officials Issue Letter To Biden Urging To Avoid War In Ukraine
Tyler Durden's Photo

BY TYLER DURDEN
WEDNESDAY, APR 07, 2021 - 10:20 PM
MEMORANDUM FOR: The President
FROM: Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity (VIPS)
SUBJECT: Avoiding War in Ukraine
Dear President Biden,
We last communicated with you on December 20, 2020, when you were President-elect.

At that time, we alerted you to the dangers inherent in formulating a policy toward Russia built on a foundation of Russia-bashing. While we continue to support the analysis contained in that memorandum, this new memo serves a far more pressing purpose. We wish to draw your attention to the dangerous situation that exists in Ukraine today, where there is growing risk of war unless you take steps to forestall such a conflict.

At this juncture, we call to mind two basic realities that need particular emphasis amid growing tension between Ukraine and Russia.

First, since Ukraine is not a member of NATO, Article 5 of the NATO Treaty of course would not apply in the case of an armed conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

Second, Ukraine’s current military flexing, if allowed to transition into actual military action, could lead to hostilities with Russia.

We think it crucial that your administration immediately seek to remove from the table, so to speak, any "solution" to the current impasse that has a military component. In short, there is, and can never be, a military solution to this problem.

Your interim national security strategy guidance indicated that your administration would "make smart and disciplined choices regarding our national defense and the responsible use of our military, while elevating diplomacy as our tool of first resort." Right now is the perfect time to put these words into action for all to see.
File image via Reuters

We strongly believe:
1. It must be made clear to Ukrainian President Zelensky that there will be no military assistance from either the US or NATO if he does not restrain Ukrainian hawks itching to give Russia a bloody nose — hawks who may well expect the West to come to Ukraine’s aid in any conflict with Russia. (There must be no repeat of the fiasco of August 2008, when the Republic of Georgia initiated offensive military operations against South Ossetia in the mistaken belief that the US would come to its assistance if Russia responded militarily.)

2. We recommend that you quickly get back in touch with Zelensky and insist that Kiev halt its current military buildup in eastern Ukraine. Russian forces have been lining up at the border ready to react if Zelensky’s loose talk of war becomes more than bravado.

Washington should also put on hold all military training activity involving US and NATO troops in the region. This would lessen the chance that Ukraine would misinterpret these training missions as a de facto sign of support for Ukrainian military operations to regain control of either the Donbas or Crimea.

3. It is equally imperative that the U.S. engage in high-level diplomatic talks with Russia to reduce tensions in the region and de-escalate the current rush toward military conflict. Untangling the complex web of issues that currently burden U.S.-Russia relations is a formidable task that will not be accomplished overnight. This would be an opportune time to work toward a joint goal of preventing armed hostilities in Ukraine and wider war.

There is opportunity as well as risk in the current friction over Ukraine. This crisis offers your administration the opportunity to elevate the moral authority of the United States in the eyes of the international community. Leading with diplomacy will greatly enhance the stature of America in the world.
