Biden’s Dementia Aside, We Really Have to Question The Wisdom of a President Who Singles Out an Entire State
BY ELIZABETH VAUGHN ON APRIL 7, 2021

I was surprised that a U.S. president would even suggest that MLB commissioner Rob Manfred pull the All-Star Game out of Atlanta. But I was gobsmacked when he opened the door to moving the Masters out of Georgia and then went on to cite the state’s new Jim Crow laws in his response. What do we make of a president who singles out an entire state?

Even before dementia began taking its toll on Joe Biden, he was never what one might consider a smart man. Nor was he ever a particularly honest man. But the ease with which he has embraced the radical left’s agenda is stunning.

On Tuesday, a reporter asked, “Mr. President, do you think the Masters golf tournament should be moved out of Georgia?”

“I think that’s up to the Masters. … It is reassuring to see for profit operations and businesses are speaking up about how these new Jim Crow laws are just antithetical to who we are. … The best way to deal with this is for Georgia and other states to smarten up. Stop it. Stop it.”

Um. Didn’t The Washington Post just give him Four Pinocchios for these precise comments last week?

Biden is well aware that he owes his victory to the explosion in mail-in voting and the lax oversight of absentee ballots in November. We get that he’s trying to discourage other states from strengthening their voter ID requirements, but he’s the President of the United States. And he’s lying through his teeth.

He has singled out the state of Georgia. A state in which top Republican officials, including anti-Trumpers Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, were key to his victory.

Biden’s remarks influenced the decision of the MLB commissioner to pull the All-Star Game out of Atlanta, a city which has a black population of over 50 percent. As a result, the city will lose approximately $100 million in expected revenue.

The game will now be played in Denver, Colorado, which has a black population of 9 percent. The state also requires voter ID.

The candidate who campaigned on uniting the country after “the divisiveness” of the Trump Administration, has become the most divisive president we’ve ever had.

But, from the President to the MLB commissioner, they all keep spouting the lies.

What is new (sort of) is that we’re seeing corporations joining the fray. Last week, Delta, American and United Airlines all condemned Georgia for passing election reform legislation.

University of Tennessee professor Glenn Reynolds, better known to conservatives as “Instapundit,” appeared on Fox News’ “Primetime” on Tuesday to make some sense of this.

Host Mark Steyn asked Reynolds, “Why has the business world suddenly turned super Bernie Sanders, AOC left?”

Reynolds explains: “The thing you have to understand first is none of this has anything to do with justice or fairness or concern for the well-being of black people or anyone else. It’s all about power. Woke politics is the state religion of the corporate oligarchs now and they use it to enhance their own power and to suppress their opponents. That’s all it’s about. Everything else is noise. And that’s why it doesn’t make sense, because it’s not meant to make sense. It’s just meant to procure compliance. They hope you’ll just be afraid.”

“How do you push back against it? If you’ve got American, United and Delta all going woke, what do you do? Boycott them and take the Greyhound?” asked Steyn.

“Honestly, you should do what the left does which is you make life unpleasant for their CEOs and other corporate officers. Don’t waste your time with economic boycotts. Send buses full of protestors to the CEO’s house and go to their shareholder meetings and make a big stink and you generally do stuff that reduces their quality of life. The left has done this and it’s worked for them. I think the right is starting to do that and Republican governors are starting to really push back on this in a formidable way for the first time really,” Reynolds said.

In short, we need to start using their tactics against them. We can make a difference. We already have.

Biden is gone. He only repeats what he hears in his ear pieces, reads on a teleprompter or has had drilled into him after he is chemically enhanced.

I never had any use for him in the past. Always though he was a liar and dirty all the way back into the 70's-80's. He was a nasty piece of work then and IMO has only gotten worse with the loss of his mental facilities.

He always had a temper problem, but now he sounds like he is angry 99% and ready to blow his cork at almost everything.

It is elder abuse.

Georgia for the most part well past the racism of a lot of other states. In Atlanta the only color that matters is green. Money. Racism hasn't played a part in GA since the synogogue bombing off ponce de Leon in what,1958?59?
Comrade Joe needs to shut up and blow away. He's clueless on what he's talking about. This country needs a president, Comrade Joe ain't it.

Lost me right here. Didn’t read the rest. Biden doesn’t “embrace” anything. He sits in the Offal Orifice soiling his Depends and drooling on his bib, then says or does whatever his Deep State controllers tell him to. Thus, the premise of this essay is flawed, and not worth reading.

I agree with alphaman, Georgia is by no means at the top of the list for racist states with Jim Crow laws.
The changes in Georgia and indeed most of the South have been like night and day over the last 50 years compared to some bastion of liberalism state.

That being said, All Presidents have singled out individual states and sometimes whole demographic populations for criticism.
Trump had no problem attacking states that didn't do what he wanted. So did Obama.. Remember the "clinging to Bibles and guns" comment by Obama, and the "deplorables" comment by Hillary?
It happens on both sides.
Is Biden impaired? Almost certainly to some extent.
Anybody 70 or older will have some neural degeneration. Can't be helped.

I’d say Biden has neural degeneration to a great extent! Saying he’s been in the Senate 120 yrs and calling Putin a murderer. (Im sure he is but don’t be saying that too him!) what kind of relationship is that!

Faithful Steed
Jim Crow laws were passed by Democrats
And any excuse is a good one to prevent restoration of veracity to voting.

Delaware, Joe Biden's own state, was held up by Joe as some sort of "example" of fair voting. In reality, Delaware's voting law is MORE restrictive of mail-in voting and personal ID. If Georgia were to wholesale adopt Delaware's modus, the rules would be MORE restrictive. Myth vs. Fact: The Georgia Election Law

Only the fact that Georgia officials are actually responding to Trump and voter claims of non-transparency - and in the doing VERIFYING Trump claim - is the problem to Democrats. And claims of "Jim Crow" a ready Alinsky excuse.

"Accuse your enemy of your own failings."

Neither here nor there.
So Biden is saying that blacks and other minorities are not smart enough to figure out how to get a State ID or Drivers License? Oh wait he has already said that they weren't smart enough to navigate the internet.

The Left and their media allies have used the new Georgia election law (SB 202) signed into law last week as a pretext for their election takeover with HR. 1, leaning heavily on misconceptions, half-truths, and flat-out lies about the bill to make their case for a massive federal takeover of state election systems. Here are the facts:

Myth 1: The Georgia election law discourages voting/suppresses votes
FACT: The bill actually preserves or expands ballot access in several important ways: It requires that large precincts with lines more than an hour long take steps like adding voting machines and election personnel for the next election to reduce wait times. It does not change the number of total early voting days, and actually increases the mandatory days of early weekend voting. Compared to 2020, 134 of 159 counties will offer more early voting hours in future elections under the new law. It codifies election drop boxes, which did not exist prior to 2020. Voters can continue to vote absentee with no excuse(unlike states like Delaware, New York, and Connecticut, which require an excuse to vote absentee).

Myth 2: The Georgia law eliminates voting on Sunday to suppress African-American votes
FACT: Georgia law was silent on Sunday early voting days prior to SB 202, and in 2020 only 16 of 159 counties offered early voting on Sundays. The new law explicitly provides the option of holding early voting on two Sundays for all localities. It actually increases the mandatory days of early weekend voting across the state.

Myth 3: The Georgia election law suppresses the vote with onerous voter ID requirements
FACT: The law requires a driver’s license or free state ID number, which 97% of registered voters already have. Anyone without a valid ID can easily obtain one for free. The voter ID requirement replaces the state’s controversial signature match program that led to the disqualification of thousands of votes in 2020.

The law’s voter ID requirement for absentee ballots is overwhelmingly popular in Georgia across the board. According to an AJC poll in January, 74% of Georgia voters support it, including 63% of black voters, and 89% of those making under $25K/year.

Myth 4: The bill eliminates drop boxes for absentee voting
FACT: The drop boxes used in the last election did not exist a year ago. They were first utilized in 2020 as a pandemic precaution. This bill makes them an official part of Georgia elections, and they will be available in all 159 counties in Georgia and under supervision to protect against tampering.

Myth 5: The bill lets Republicans throw out any county votes they don’t agree with
FACT: The bipartisan State Election Board can do performance reviews of local election supervisors who fail their area’s voters with things like long lines and unfulfilled absentee ballot requests. The board will not overturn election results; the law simply provides a process to review and ensure officials are technically competent and complying with state laws and regulations . This process requires a high burden of proof over multiple elections, and the State Elections Board may only suspend up to four election supervisors at any given time, which guards against using this process to try to influence election outcomes.

Myth 6: The bill bans drinking water for voters while waiting in line
FACT: Like the countless other states that have very specific laws against electioneering near polling places, Georgia has codified rules preventing political groups from handing out food or water to voters in line as an incentive to vote, but specifically allows poll workers to make water available to anyone who wants it. The law will also directly cut down wait times, meaning refreshment for people waiting in line will be less necessary.

AJC is the Atlanta Journal/Constitution, Atlanta's hometown newspaper. It's leaned to the left for some years now, so seeing these poll numbers isn't a surprise. MSM that honestly reported something! Comrade Joe and his whore (both of them) need to keep their Yankee mouths shut and pay attention. Preferably they should shut up.

This voter issue at home really reminds me of the election of 1860. The same effect-Yankee trash disenfranchise southern voters. Through threats, boycotts, moving the MLB game etc. 130+years after the last election issue.
And we all know what the election of 1860 brought on less than a year later............
