Just a weird thought. What if Prince Harry becomes an American Citizen. He's currently sixth in line to the throne so not much of a chance of him becoming king. He really has nothing left to lose. He's stepped away from the royal duties and thus lost some of his honorary appointments, but so what. What has he got to lose at this point. I realize that most Americans could care less, same as me. I was just wondering. I think it would really piss off the royal family which I also think would be just fine. Just wonder if he might do that.

What has he got to loose. Seriously. Regardless what the royals in England do he still has his name and status. Becoming an American will still keep him in the celebrity status, and he would be free from Grand-mama's B.S. and all that royal garbage. Free at last - free at last.

Well, isn’t there some old Las here that forbids people from holding foreign titles?

Other than the dopey Esq. after a lawyers name, they can’t hold royal or noble title...as in Duke of Sussex.

I'd argue that he'd keep his "celebrity status" without changing citizenship. Beyond all of that it really doesn't matter.

Granted, I think Brits allow dual citizenship (U.S. doesn't recognize it) but he needs the "fallback position option" with Grandma, Dad and Big Brother. Prodigal son/rebel without a clue and all that.

He ran a pair of 4-month tours on the Rock Pile (Helmand Province) as an apache driver. Dumb maybe to CHOOSE to be a rotary-wing driver but certainly not stupid. Heck, he stood up to his Nana by taking BOTH tours.

Harry is in the wrong location, with the wrong wife, without a clear life purpose. At some point, he will have an emotional crisis, and I predict he will return to England at that point.

Harry is PW'ed bad. If his wife told him to become a citizen, then he would, but on his own I don't think he wants too. He is smart enough to know if wifey throws him out for some reason, he can run back home to grandma.

I think the mulatto didn't want Canada after she was told by someone that the royals could most likely wrench Archie (from the wench) in a Commonwealth country so she took him home to LA and Harry followed by being the obedient puppy he's become. Must be some good stuff; never could figure out how he fell for that one.
