The House is officially in therapy.

In the weeks after the Jan. 6 Capitol insurrection, which left at least five dead, lawmakers and their staff in the House of Representatives are seeking out mental health counseling.

Paul Tewksbury, director of the House Office of Employee Assistance, told lawmakers in a Thursday hearing that his office has provided 760 counseling sessions since the events of Jan 6 — something he called a “significant increase.”

Tewksbury said there had been around 3,000 contacts between his office and the Capitol Hill community in the first half of 2020.
The ongoing fallout from the coronavirus pandemic has hobbled the office’s services, though Tewksbury reported that “huge amount” of phone calls for those seeking assistance were taking place.

The news was first reported by Roll Call, which last month also covered mental health fallout from the attack.

“There’s a lot of stress and anger going on. … We’re validating feelings, whatever they are,” Rep. Gerald E. Connolly told the Capitol Hill newspaper. “Interestingly, the people I think who were struggling the most are the people who physically were not here.” WTF!

If correct it shows just how unqualified these people are for the responsibilities they carry.

Ask Dave Hogg about that as he can relate.

NOT surprised about the last line at all. THEY have had a chance to consider how they are "respected" as well as to internalize the current message, which is basically a bull excrement Lefty wet dream.

HC, absolutely!! Though more that they have accepted the "narrative" and have internally placed themselves in the center of the never existed violent melee.

Her did, the poor thang. Then she tried to quash people's rights to point out she was lying at every step of the narrative. I know this brave new toxicity in which we find ourselves is really far too serious to laugh at- but I can't seem to help letting a few giggle and eyerolls escape.

Neither. It's a pose to help beef up the narrative.

With all the goodies these people get at our expense, I suspect this will insure a monthly check for the rest of their lives to help them deal with trauma of it all.....

The official narrative makes me crazy.

There was no insurrection. At worst it could be described as a disturbance and at that, not even a “mostly peaceful” demonstration because there was arson, looting or murder, although the death of the protestor and one officer do impact that...

These parasites are disturbed by the fact that the PEOPLE had the gall to protest and some of the protestors did get somewhat out of hand. The anger and level of repulsion that the common man and woman feels for our “public servants” is what disturbs them.

To get an idea of what a riot and insurrection really looks like all one needs to do is go back exactly ten years in Madison WI, the link below is full of videos to see what it really is like. While thousands of protesters were occupying the Capitol thousands of teachers also called a sickout shutting down schools statewide and the protesters even formed a new WI state government....


In the end the WI Capitol needed more than $7,000,000 of repairs
Compare all of this to a couple of hours in DC

this is so unbelievably stupid.

this is the sort of drama queen, attention seeking, snowflake behavior that should be scorned.

and you know what this does? people see this crap for what it is, and then they do not believe other people when they have actual trauma. its like the people that say that they were followed by someone and that person had clear intent to do them harm and they are hyperventilating and completely coming unglued as they tell their story of trauma and danger and the horrible and evil person that was going to kill them, but they got away at the last minute!

only to find out it was nothing of the sort.

i actually just watched some nutcase on instagram ramble on for 7 minutes and she had to continually calm herself down and stop and take deep breaths and stop herself from crying. why?

because she said that someone was following her!!

only, they weren't.

they had a dirty truck (in winter, in iowa) and they asked if she needed help with her packages at the post office getting them inside. and then they waited in their dirty truck for her to finish so they could follow her. and she proceeded to employ evasive maneuvers like turning right 4 times because if they take all the same rights that you are, then they are following you and they are going to kill you.

except they didn't. they took 2 rights i think and then left her.

but that didn't matter, she was going to die. she became completely unglued. and she is convinced that they were probably going to try to kidnap her baby because she had an empty baby seat in the back.

i'm not kidding. she was gonna lose it.

i know a person that evidently takes information they hear about others or from others and then makes it their own and claims it for their life experiences and then has the trauma associated with it.

i found this out because i was trying to help them with something and relayed a particular incident/life experience to them to try to help them and make them feel better and give some perspective to their situation.

i came to find out later, that they had taken that and were telling people that it had happened to THEM and had made it a part of their life trauma. it never happened to them. it happened to me. i found out because another person told me what this person said. i was shocked. i questioned the person talking with me, and they said that this person had told them it had happened to them and that they were very clearly having a very hard time getting past it.

and people just don't understand how hard it is for them.

Actually, I think they got a real jolt. All along they kept telling each other (and us) that Trumpers were a bunch of madmen. Then it turned out that it might actually be true.

That was the jolt the fact they told what appeared to be the truth about something.

They have not told you which side of the aisle the Trama Badge wearers normally sit.

(i.e. Democrats on one side - Repubs on the other.)

One imagines AOC would be on "therapy overtime."

Heh, just think a real insurrection would be referred to as the apocalypse by the survivors. By the way most of them really are snowflakes. They believe in nothing and really do fear when they die.
