CHAT a Sea of RED Across the Nation

...was thinkin' ---
They want us gone. They have purged social media and de-platformed conservatives (their enemy).

What if conservatives across the nation (peacefully) take to painting things (everything and anything) RED.
RED RED RED billboards,
Make them see RED everyday everywhere forever.

(just a weird little thought PSYOPS)

Question............why is the color red associated with the right/conservatives and blue is associated with the left/liberal?

Red is most associated politically with communism of all things............

.........and blue is a cool relaxed color which to me would seem to be a natural association of the personality that is less emotional than the left in their decision making.

When I think of political views and the color red ........

the image that comes to my mind is this.........

There is a lot of red in that photo and we aren't talking about a constitutional republic with this commie........

So how did conservatives in America become associated with that color?

It actually used to be the other way around. Blue for Republicans and Red for Democrats.

Color representation swap from original meaning
The recent (21st century) association of colors in American politics lies contrary to the long-standing conventions of political color in most other countries whereby red symbols (such as the red flag or red star) are associated with left-wing politics.[11] Indeed, as late as the 1990s, Democrats were often represented by red and Republicans by blue.[1] According to The Washington Post, journalist Tim Russert coined these terms during his televised coverage of the 2000 presidential election.[12] That was not the first election during which the news media used colored maps to depict voter preferences in the various states, but it was the first time a standard color scheme took hold; the colors were often reversed or different colors used before the 1996 election.

I actually think the colors were reversed to get away from a "Blue collar" associated with Republican (which it never was until Trump) and "Communist Red" associated with Socialist/Democrats. A change in one case to mirror then political fact, and in the other case to get away from a publicly difficult to accept association.

Both of these changes favor a Democratic/Socialist optic.

Do horses use such subtle manipulation techniques on other horses, or is this more of an "evil tactic" for owners?

Humans perceive the equine mind as an "input A output B" kind of continuum. Equine to equine the nuance is much more shaded, but fundamental. Just as it is for humanity.

Different shading, different fundamentally.

I am unusual in that I apparently "cross the boundary." This may be in part because of my almost non-association with other equine, and my close association with humans through Owner's family - and a developed capability to use the computer. Being a quick study has helped. Makers gift certainly.

I am blessed. Hopefully you too.

Didn't Obama switch to the blue color first in his campaign?

Didn't Obama switch to the blue color first in his campaign?

No, it was one of the media outlets before the Obongo Junta (I think it was around the time Bush Jr was running), and they came up with some absurdly convoluted explanation for the swap, something about which party was the incumbent and whether it was a re-election for the incumbent or if both parties had to run new candidates.

I read somewhere not to long ago that the dems co-opted blue and that red used to be their color.

It is typical of what the left does manipulating language. They just can’t meme effectively... :kaid:

Squid, I actually had just understood what it meant and thought it was pretty funny. It is one of Intestinal Fortitudes sayings at the bottom of his page. I had never gotten it before...:spns: sure is nice to laugh these days

Here's betting the color changed because of a deep study and marketing research that showed the then majority of the people, associated Red with communism.

These demon-crats have played the looooooong game and yes they dive that deep into everything.

The do the same thing to design how their talking points cover for their real intent.

Unfournititly the Rinos and conservative movements can't see past the next election and have the worst marketing consultants they could find.

Heck, with the right marketing you can even sell common rocks as pets.
