First, the really big money in Portland lives in SW and I can GUARANTEE you whatever they say, the rich liberals are going to have Medussa for dinner over this. It is such a strange feeling to have financial security compared to everybody else. They let the street rabble, homeless, blm etc mass with impunity and now we had 24 people die today they said. And you know they ALL got infected from being street people and antifa etc etc.
We still have only 1000 Dead from this "pandemic," over a 10 month period. More people likely died from being unable to get heart surgery at OHSU.

Auxman, I would say I KNOW that it is illegal to receive financial benefit from voting. However, now that, as Jesus put it, "what was whispered in the basement will now be shouted from the rooftop," and "what was hidden in the basement will now be revealed in your front yard," I also think we are moving into Without Rule of Law and they are so arrogant they don't even care if you document a criminal act.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler admitted Monday that the apology he issued to the squatters of a foreclosed house could lead to similar occupations. The mayor apologized to the anti-eviction anarchists who drove police from a now three-block “autonomous zone.”
“I hope it is not an ongoing phenomenon,” Mayor Wheeler said in an article published by The Oregonian. “Our objective is to protect lives and end the occupation. And nobody should take this as an invitation to do it anywhere else. The end result could turn out very differently.”
The local newspaper reported the mayor conceded the “aura of success” could lead to similar occupations. He then said he hopes otherwise.
Mayor Wheeler reached a settlement with the occupiers of what has become known as “The Red House on Mississippi” to end the barricade put in place early last week. The mayor and police chief addressed a letter to the former owners of the house for referring to the encampment as an “autonomous zone,” The Oregonian reported over the weekend. The mayor pledged last week that the police were authorized to use “all lawful means” to end the occupation of the foreclosed house and surrounding streets.
At one point, the mayor issued what now appears to be a toothless edict, saying, “There will be no autonomous zone in Portland,” Breitbart’s Joel Pollak reported.
Portland Police Bureau officers came under attack on December 8 as they helped the local sheriff’s office attempt to serve an eviction on a foreclosed house. The previous owners were ordered to vacate in September.
Portland officers arrived at the Red House on Tuesday morning and were greeted by a crowd of at least 100 protesters, OPB.com reported. The protesters quickly became violent and began smashing the windows of police vehicles and slashing tires. The protesters then erected an “anti-eviction barrier.”
A series of photos published by Breitbart News revealed the warzone-like barricades put in place by the anti-eviction anarchists.
Posts on social media quickly condemned the mayor’s apology.
The Oregonian reported the occupiers cleared the streets following the “tentative deal” reached between the previous owners and the City of Portland.
The Oregonian reported that crowd-sourcing donors raised more than $300,000 for the evicted family who reportedly owns another home near the zone. The current owner, who purchased the home in a 2018 foreclosure auction, said he is willing to sell the home to the former owners.
I feel sorry for the few remaining “good” people in Portland, who have their lives, and life savings, invested there... Now, their mayor is going to further destroy what equity, and all that they’ve acquired... Like in every thread like this, I hope people are noticing, and remembering where these asswholes live...

Portland Fire and Rescue officials are looking to question a person seen in surveillance footage apparently setting fire to a local restaurant. The suspected arsonist acted after the restaurant owner criticized vandalism in the area committed by Antifa.
On November 23, a suspected arsonist set fire to Reo’s Ribs located in Portland’s Hollywood District, Breitbart News reported. When firefighters arrived on the scene, they observed smoke pouring out of the rear of the building and flames both on the interior and exterior.
Surveillance video shows a person setting that fire, KOIN CBS6 tweeted.

It is not known if the suspected arsonist’s face was blurred by KOIN or by Portland Fire officials.
The video shows the suspected arsonist setting a fire at the rear of Reo’s Ribs. The person continues to add more fuel. The person is in plain view of the street while setting the fire.
KOIN said fire officials said they would like to question the suspect. They did not report if fire officials knew the identity of the person.
“I feel really relieved that we know who did it and we know that we might be stopping other fires,” Reo’s Ribs co-owner Myra Girod told KOIN 6 News.
This is the second fire at Reo’s Ribs in the past three years. Portland Fire Department officials ruled a 2017 fire that previously destroyed the restaurant to be an accident. Reo remains suspicious of the incident. He rebuilt the restaurant only to have it burned a second time.

Videos tweeted by a Seattle journalist shows the fortification of a homeless camp ahead of a police sweep scheduled for Wednesday. One of the videos show Antifa members wearing black bloc chasing the camera crew from the area.
“Cal Anderson (Park) used to be one of the Crown Jewels of Seattle,” KOMO journalist Jonathan Choe tweeted. “This is what it looks like now. On the eve of an anticipated sweep, neighbors and business owners remain cautiously optimistic, because they have seen this play out before with the same results.”
Another video shows the fortification of the park as anarchists erect fences constructed of wooden pallets, furniture, and other materials dropped off to protect the homeless encampment. The video also shows the lack of sanitation and buildup of trash in the park.
Choe reported that some of the gates had been chained and their hinges glued to delay a law enforcement action in the park. The homeless sweep is scheduled for Wednesday.
Antifa members wearing black bloc approached Choe’s news crew as they set up to do a live shot from the scene. Choe said the people threw rocks at them and chased them away.

I was walking around earlier, this being the PEAK Christmas shopping time and I can stand on the corner, look down six blocks and see virtually nobody. I think they will lurch another month or so, and then crash and burn right after the New Year starts. I can count six major stores that have closed in the last month or so.
And they have run out of money, thousands of taxpayers have fled the area, especially downtown. Well, the tidal wave will hit by the end of January. And if biden really does manage to steal the election and get installed on January 20th the Democrats are going to walk into a buzz saw of economic chaos, despair, poverty and antifa and blm taking over the city.
