I went. He was due to speak at 7 PM, but by 2 there were already >500 people there, going by the # of cars parked in the grass lot 1/2 mile away. I made two signs to carry in: "Scientists for Trump" and "Sentence Pelosi, Obama, the Clintons, the Bidens, & the NY/CA/MI governors now!".

It was a LONG walk, easily a mile from where I chose to park. There were plenty of older people quietly, good-naturedly struggling with the distance. Camille and Haley TRUMP (their website; loads of Christian music they've recorded there) were there in a booth everyone got to walk right past within 5' of them (more about them later). Here is their trademark song:

RT 2:19.

There were some vendors of MAGA hats, flags, signs and such. One pair of guys selling hats got REALLY pushy, walking out into the stream of people and hard-selling.

Security was abundant, mixed local sheriff deputies and black SUVs (that were VERY quiet, almost noiseless; got told those run most of a mil each?!?). A number of what looked like local volunteers were handling external crowd directions. Parking was well-organized and neat. Everyone that I saw acted polite; in over 6 hours there, I didn't see even ONE argument, let alone an altercation.

They did not allow any but official-type signs inside, so I hung around outside as close as I could get to the entrance holding my signs. There were at least 2 TV station reporter chick and camera guy combos I saw; did not interact with either. People kept streaming in numbers til close to 8 PM.

There were an odd mix of songs played inside; I heard the "Titanic" theme song several times, even "YMCA".

I did not get to see the stage, but could hear it fine. A senator, FL state governor, and of course the God-Emperor Trump himself spoke. Latter was for quite a while, over 30 min. He sounded very genuine, trustable/competent/experience, only a touch tired. Said "hell" twice that I heard.

I stood there with my signs for over 5 hours, holding them so most people could see them. Probably a little under half read them. Most did not react, but plenty did; out of my guess of 2000 people passing by, I got a couple hundred thumbs up, dozens of single claps, scores of "hell yeah!"s. Over 70 clearly took a picture of my signs. Over 20 crossed the street to take close ups. At least 3 said they were going to put a pic of my signs on Facebook; one guy said he was going to make them famous (no elaboration, sadly). About 6 people (4 of whom were women ending up pressing a C+ sized boob into my arm from the side) wanted a companion to take a pic of me with them in it. (Note I had sunglasses on til dark, and a large hat the whole time for protection vs. sun early, and bugs/floodlights later.)

About 4 nurses, 5 M.D.s, 3 engineers, and 6 other assorted scientists told me they were such. About 4 people thanked me for doing this (when all I did was just stand a while in a safe place holding up two signs).

When people reacted audibly to one of my signs, I quickly started using prepared loud responses that were usually well-received. For my "Scientists" sign, I said "Smart Americans support Trump. The other kind are Democrats!" If it was the "Sentence" sign they said something about, I mostly said some variation of "It's way overdue". Men were harder-core in verbal response; I heard "I hate that bitch" or "that bitch needs to be shot" more than once. Women, especially if over 13 and under 60, reacted more physically, with usually no more than a "YES!!" or "Heck/hell yes!".

There were plenty of children, generally aged at least 10 YO, teens more common.

About a dozen people stopped and wanted to talk at length. I got asked about climate change easily 7 times, and the Corona virus about 4. By the end, I was getting close to hoarse; the generator/floodlight I moved near to light up my signs once dark hit was hardly soundless, and then there was noise from the crowd and speakers inside.

Camille and Haley... They are awesome and sweet in person. I got to chat with them and both their parents for a while. C & H graciously let me video them saying hi to my daughters by name and blowing air kisses to them. They also GAVE me two of their albums free (I offered to pay, and they refused any money). Oh, and they have 6 other siblings.

The crowd was easily 90% white. About 1/3 had MAGA paraphernalia of some sort, mostly hats, many T-shirts, with large Trump/MAGA flags that people wrapped themselves in fairly common. Interestingly, the majority of blacks present had MAGA hats, and were as or more likely to react strongly positively (body language and words) to my signs as any whites. There were a number of obvious foreigners, like Bengalis/Hindus and Chinese/Koreans, from college student ages to about 60 YO. Those were all completely unexpressive in every way; I think the rally was a kind of National Geographic experience for them.

There was one trio of apparent dindus; they were VERY quiet.

One guy aged ~70 had a professionally-made stick sign reading something like "Hear the song of Trump here". For anyone that stopped by, he'd sing a well-practiced 90 second song extolling TGE. Sincere, but Camille and Haley he was not. Was there only about 40 minutes.

Oh, and someone gave me a written invitation to come be part of a MAGA mural painting tomorrow. I intend to attend.

Oh, and I searched online for 20 minutes, but did not find one pic of my signs. Oh well. Of course, I don't use Facebook.

Minor update: one of the women that came up to me at the Trump rally in Pensacola on Friday to take my picture handed me a preprinted slip inviting me to a MAGA mural painting on Sunday, 10/24. It was at the locally-traditional protest site, the 17th Avenue underpass just north of the Three Mile Bridge that normally connects Pensacola to Gulf Breeze (which is the foyer to Pensacola Beach from points north or west). That place has traffic down easily 80% due to the morons running Skanska, the bridge building company that didn't secure their construction barges prior to Hurricane Sally, so those tore up the bridge so it'll be useless for 6+ months.

The event officially ran from 0700 - 1900 hours. I got there just after noon. At that time, only the organizer was present, and had not been there over an hour(?). She was a moderately attractive professional photographer (alas, left ring finger with ring) in her late 40s, who clearly was VERY committed to pro-Trump publicity. She had over 20 gallons of paint she said mostly was donated to her, a paint sprayer, a small generator to power it, a card table, 2 dozen donuts, several gallons of distilled water, an Igloo plastic water jug of the sort you see hanging from construction company F-350 trucks, and cups for same. Oh, and she had two anti-Biden professionally-made HUGE banners (like 6' x 10' at least) that must have cost her hundreds of dollars each to have made. Their wording was IMO at best moderately effective rhetorically; she would have benefited from advice on them pre-ordering.

Due to my still unoperated-on arm injury, I neither planned on, nor did, significant labor to help. Instead, I did a couple minor things to help her out as she requested; ran to a convenience store and bought 20 pounds of ice for the water jug, hung a banner for her, called her cellphone for her to locate it when she misplaced it, that sort of thing.

Supposedly, a good-sized group showed earlier, but left before she and I got there. Over the next 5 hours, roughly 20 people came to help. They were just over half women, ages generally thirties to fifties. Two black males and a white Hispanic couple were among them. Excepting only four ~15 YO males who cavorted harmlessly but uselessly, EVERYONE immediately pitched in and for hours worked steadily, noncontentiously, and reasonably competently at spraying and brushing paint, covering the vast majority of the trestle normally painted on. (One remainder area read "This is a safe area"; I suggested she paint "Thanks to police", but she demurred, alas.)

I chatted enough with about 6 of them to get an idea of their nature. About two of them were a bit "off", with being obsessed with "Q" or the like. All of them were seriously committed to Trump to their bones; two mentioned female family members that were pro-Dim that they could not talk to at all anymore. Just over half had pro-Trump T-shirts, about 1 in 4 had MAGA hats of some sort, and one age ~40 woman had a mid-size soft Uncle Sam hat. My "Scientists for Trump" shirt was unremarked upon. Over half mentioned Facebook in some way, regrettably.

Oh, and one woman told me she got instantly blocked from some small web forum organized for anyone doing message painting at the 17th Avenue underpass as soon as they realized she was a conservative. She previously believed it was a nonpartisan site; now she knows better.

This may be it:

From The Graffiti Bridge

I parked my truck at her direction over on the side where I could hang one of her banners on it and have it easily be seen. I also filled out and attached to it about 5 blank posters with pithy, hopefully cardiac-event-provoking slogans along the lines of "Deport all Democrats", "Democrats! Stop being wrong & start supporting Trump", "Only Commies and pedos support Biden", that sort of thing.

I held up my "Scientists for Trump" sign and a new one reading "SMART Americans know Trump is right!" for passersby to see for close to four hours. The reactions were very intriguing to me. The ratio of passersby giving vigorous thumbs-up, fist pumping while yelling "Hell Yeah!", clapping, etc., exceeded those who flipped me off by well over 6:1. Not one apparent nonwhite passerby gave a reaction of any sort, pro or con, that I saw; my hypothesis is that their literacy and/or mental processing speed was insufficiently high/rapid to do so in the time they had while driving by.

Only three passersby verbalized negatively that I heard. "F*** you" and "Trump s*cks" were it from all but one. A white female about age 27 stopped right by me (in traffic!) and asked where I got my science degrees. I responded neutrally and a bit vaguely that I had bachelor's and master's degrees in a hard science from universities she had heard of. She shouted that those schools needed to be shut down or some such, and drove off at high speed.

Not one passerby made a verbal or physical threat of any kind; about 4 did dramatically speed up when next to the painters that I interpret as showing displeasure. Note that this place is locally long-accepted as being a sort of town square where protesting and political activism of all sorts is done.

A lone employee of local station WEAR-TV (midsize vehicle professionally if garishly proclaiming this) came by and took video of the painters around 5:20 PM, after I had 95% packed up. He was a black male around age 32, didn't seem very bright when I tried to talk to him. This videoing a short clip of any organized painting at the 17th Avenue site has long been very common for news orgs here on slow news days.

I saw police SUVs drive by 3 or 4 times without stopping or interacting with anyone in any way. I know that the organizer had gotten some nasty hate mail on Facebook about the event, and that she called the nonemergency Pensacola Police Dept. number to inform them a group was painting at 17th Avenue, and to request some police drivebys.

What I take away from what I saw: there is not just a huge (enormous, even) disparity of numbers in Trump supporters in Pensacola vs. Biden supporters, but a large disparity in vigor between the two groups. The Biden people did clearly hate us, but it came off as seething at most, with no real outlet possible besides voting. My prediction is that Trump will clearly have taken Florida well before the sun sets on Election Day.

What a great experience! We met Camille & Haley recently in Florida. They are very talented and hope to see them in the WH some day!

Agreed. I hope the God-Emperor Trump has them perform at his second inauguration. Sadly, neither of them has marriage and family on the horizon yet; with the older one about to turn 30, it well may be that one or neither of them will never make more versions of themselves.

I know they love their big family so I would guess it's a matter of time. But you never know I guess.

A 30-YO chick has close to 80% of her fertility irrevocably in her rear-view mirror. So, bearing 8 children as her mother did is out under any nonpreposterous circumstances.

Yes, and of children conceived with a genetic mother older than 34 YO, 100% are genetically "dinged" with decreasing vitality and life expectancy to an ever-increasing degree as the GM gets older, without even getting into zooming odds of miscarriage, chromosomal trisomies, etc. I have posted on this repeatedly. God chose women's reproduction to work this way, for reasons only He knows.

I did find one post of my signs on Twitter. Not a person with a huge following, but they're politically avid. Oh, and the organizer for the MAGA mural called me re another such planned event to invite me.

Congratulations on the most recent addition to your family, Peter! Children are a blessing from God, and it sounds like you have been blessed in abundance! :)
