Heard the news on The Outfield last night on John B. Wells show, what a gutpunch. He was still so very young.

Loved the medieval Jolene, perfect mountain warbling old skool style

And that Fleetwood Mac cover by Dolores O'Riordan was reverberating. What a loss of that songbird for humanity.

Whoever drove her to despair in that hotel bath tub overdose, you are on your own answering to God for it.

For Dolores, sweet Celtic angel...rest gently

And for The Outfield, surely one of the best cinematic uses of music video invoking such timeless WW2 imagery

BBC, RKO, RAF, The Blitz, White Rose of the House of York, Signal Corps, its mesmerizing to watch,

we who still mourn and honor these wardead we did not know personally

for the music men of our generation who straddled two centuries, one foot in the 20th, the other in the 21st

and belonging truly to both but not fully to either at the same time

It blazes and blairs across the decades still.

Just a shout out to you, Housecarl, you've laid down some really interesting, esoteric, and original tunes. Thanks. I spent a decent part of this morning listening to it.
Definitely- Always interesting offerings, but these were truly inspired choices & def. found their mark. ; )
..if only german wasn't such a struggle

I have a fabulous idea! After we all master the shuffle dance thing, we can take up swing dancing! Sound good? (crickets chirping)
Hey! Swing is FUN! Harder than shuffle dance tho- hmm. Or maybe that is simply me not doing the shuffle dance right ?
But shouldn't we practice the monster mash instead- Hallowed weinie and all :hmm:

This one goes out to Red Baron since I do believe he expressed an opinion on red-headed female French singers … ;)

(Technically, "Natasha St-Pier (born 10 February 1981) is a Canadian singer of Acadian origin who has spent most of her career in France." This picture is from a different video and sadly in neither video are there more pictures like this -- I think this was an album cover.)
