Rob Reiner Rages over RBG Replacement Battle: 'This Is War. Dems Have Powerful Weapons. Now Is the Time to Use Them'
David Ng
2-2 minutes

Left-wing Hollywood filmmaker Rob Reiner is declaring war on Republicans over who will replace the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. He has also accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of disrespecting Ginsburg by vowing to give President Trump’s nominee a floor vote in the Senate.

The Princess Bride director made the fiery comments in a tweet on Saturday morning. “Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s body isn’t even cold and Mitch McConnell is dancing on her grave,” he said. “This is war. Dems have powerful weapons. Now is the time to use them.”

Sen. McConnell (R-KY) announced shortly after news broke late Friday of Ginsburg’s death that he would ensure President Trump’s choice to succeed the late justice will get a vote. “President Trump’s nominee will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate,” McConnell said in a statement.

Hollywood left-wingers are already to pushing Congress to leave Ginsburg’s seat vacant until after the election. Jane Fonda told HBO’s Real Time host Bill Maher that Americans have to “rise up” against Sen. McConnell.

“We have to be as tough as Mitch McConnell and not allow them to do one freakin’ thing until the election is over,” she said. “We have to rise up and not allow them to do it. If Mitch McConnell can do it, let’s grow some balls and ovaries. Oh, my God.”

Rob Reiner eulogized Ginsburg as a “brilliant” jurist in a tweet late Friday. He also warned that President Trump will try to steal her place on the high court.

“We must fight not to allow an Impeached Criminal to take her seat,” he wrote.

Jane Fonda: 'We Have to Rise Up and Not Allow' McConnell, GOP to Replace Ginsburg -- 'Let's Grow Some Balls and Ovaries'

Friday during HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher announced the news Ruth Bader Ginsburg had passed away, which means an opening on the U.S. Supreme Court just weeks before the November elections.

Among Maher’s guests on Friday was actress and left-wing activist Jane Fonda, who announced she was “reeling” from the news before urging viewers to “rise up” and oppose Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) effort to name Ginsburg’s replacement.

“We have to be as tough as Mitch McConnell and not allow them to do one freakin’ thing until the election is over,” she said. “We have to rise up and not allow them to do it. If Mitch McConnell can do it, let’s grow some balls and ovaries. Oh, my God.”

Maher: Ginsburg's Death Is Why You Cannot Let a Guy Like Trump Become President
Jeff Poor
1-1 minutes

During Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher lamented the passing of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and what it meant for politics amid the 2020 election cycle.

After proclaiming Ginsburg to be an “awesome woman,” Maher told his audience Ginsburg’s demonstrates why Donald Trump could not be allowed to be president.

“I’ve said it before on this show — power begets power,” Maher said. “This is why you cannot let a guy like Trump become president. Because it’s not just about the presidency.”

AOC Sounds the Alarm in Wake of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's Death: 'November’s About Survival'
Hannah Bleau
4-5 minutes

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) offered some words of advice to concerned progressives Friday following the news of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death, stressing that a vote for Joe Biden is “not about whether you agree with him,” but about allowing democracy to “live another day”–because “November’s about survival.”

The freshman lawmaker took to Instagram after the news of Ginsburg’s passing and begged viewers to check their voter registration, all while she pitched why the upcoming election is so important.

“I understand why people say, ‘I don’t vote. What’s the point?’ I really empathize with it. I’m not here to dismiss you. I’m not here to pooh-pooh you. I’m not here to say you’re wrong or that you’re a bad person,” she said, proclaiming that voting is no longer about agreeing with Joe Biden (D) personally.

“What I’m here to say is that this year, this election voting for someone — voting for Joe Biden is not about whether you agree with him. It’s a vote to let our democracy live another day,” she warned. “That’s what this is about”:

Ocasio-Cortez said progressives must “act in solidarity” for the “most vulnerable” people who “have already experienced the violent repercussions of this administration”:
And the reason we need to do that is because, yes, the political middle is willing to sacrifice immigrants. The political middle, too often, is willing to play both sides when someone dies to police violence. Absolutely. That’s why we need to show up. We need to show up because if we don’t show up, those people don’t get protected. Our trans brothers and sisters will not be protected. Our immigrant brothers and sisters will not be protected. Our brothers and sisters who are not making a living wage that are working at McDonald’s and that they aren’t being paid a living wage or they’re working at Amazon and they’re being forced to work in unsafe conditions…we got to show up for them. That’s what we need to show up for.
No singular politician is the answer, she continued, pegging voters as the answer.

“You are the answer. Mass movements are the answer. Millions of people are the answer. You are the answer. And so I need you. We need you. Even in Congress, we can’t do it alone. So we need you to show up,” she continued, urging voters to “organize in their communities.”

Ocasio-Cortez also spoke about President Trump directly, calling him an “authoritarian” who has “no regard for the dignity of human life.” She also warned that the election is about “survival.”

“We have an authoritarian president,” she stated definitively. “That’s what we have. He has no regard for the dignity of human life. He has no regard for law. He has no regard for justice. He has no regard for anything unless it personally helps him and his power and his money and that of the Republican establishment. That’s just what it is. It’s just what it is,” she continued:
So listen. On the left, there’s a lot of–there’s a huge diversity, right? And we get mad at each other. That’s the way it is because it’s incredibly frustrating. I get incredibly frustrated. You all know I get incredibly frustrated with my own party, too. We all have our disagreements. That’s fine because we all recognize that November–frankly I wish it wasn’t like this; it only serves to highlight the brokenness of our entire system–but whether we like it or not, November’s about survival. November’s about survival.
She added that progressives need to work to “honor all of those who came before us” in fighting for the future and applauded them for persisting in the face of hopelessness.

Ocasio-Cortez said those figures allowed “us to be here, and now, we need to work to allow, you know, one day when we are ancestors, for us to allow the people that are to come, to be here, too. And to thrive, too,” she said. “That’s what this is about.”

Maxine Waters: 'Senate Democrats, Do Not Back Down'
Hannah Bleau
3-4 minutes

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) urged Senate Democrats to stand strong and “not back down” in the wake of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) subsequent vow that President Trump’s nominee to replace her “will receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.”

Waters expressed her condolences to Ginsburg’s family Friday evening following the news of the justice’s passing, praising her as a “titan & legend on the Supreme Court” before ultimately delivering a message directly to Senate Democrats: “Do not back down!”

“Justice Ginsburg’s dying wish was that her seat would not be filled until a new president is installed! Senate Democrats, do not back down. You have a tough fight ahead but our future is on the line!” the California lawmaker exclaimed. “No SCOTUS appointment before the election!!!”:

Prior to her passing, Ginsburg reportedly told her granddaughter, Clara Spera, that her “most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new president is installed.”

However, Majority Leader McConnell said in a statement on Friday evening that Trump’s nominee will, in fact, receive a vote on the floor of the United States Senate.

“In the last midterm election before Justice Scalia’s death in 2016, Americans elected a Republican Senate majority because we pledged to check and balance the last days of a lame-duck president’s second term,” McConnell explained. “We kept our promise.”

“Since the 1880s, no Senate has confirmed an opposite-party president’s Supreme Court nominee in a presidential election year, despite his refusal to consider former President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland to replace conservative justice Antonin Scalia,” he continued.

“By contrast, Americans reelected our majority in 2016 and expanded it in 2018 because we pledged to work with President Trump and support his agenda, particularly his outstanding appointments to the federal judiciary. Once again, we will keep our promise,” McConnell added, stating that Trump’s nominee will have a vote on the floor.

Several blue checks on Twitter have since threatened full-blown violence in America if the Republican-led Senate moves to replace Ginsburg prior to the election.

During his rally in Minnesota Friday night, President Trump identified himself as the American people’s “wall between the American dream and chaos.”

“Only by voting for me are you going to save — I hate to say this — I did it with your iron ore. I did it with some other things, and I’ll do it for you again. I’ll do it for you again, but if you vote for me. I’m the difference and I’m the wall,” Trump said.

“You know the wall that we’re building on the southern border? I’m your wall between the American dream and chaos,” he added:

Meh. Every day Trump "Occupies" the White House is a day without sunshine for Democrat Elite.

RBG is just the latest "insult du jour."

Not matter that Trump WAS selected by "the process." Granted he may not have achieved the Presidency by a plurality - but a non-plurality was engineered into the process by intent - and by the wisdom of the founders.

Maybe Meathead should get out there and protest like all the others. It might gain him some actual verifiable results - as it is he is merely "bloviating."

I really would like to try whatever these wackos are smoking. ....it just might prove useful to take the trip and analyze what it is that makes them this way.

My survival has nothing to do with who is in office.

As long as they leave me and mine alone., They can figure out their own way through life wearing their high prices suits and fancy shoe. None of that crap us useful where I live.

Unless I missed it, in all of Meatheads yammering, he didn't actually explain WHAT they could do or HOW they could influence events.

So, it seems like the hysterical reaction of an unstable person.

Yep, just another hysterical sky-screamer throwing a tantrum.

Funny it is. The supporters of abortion on demand claim to care for human life. Yes, the election is indeed about survival: for millions of innocents, and probably for many of the rest of us. If they start their civil war, it will be evident that their survival is not so important either.

Desertvet, I find the idea of meathead putting on a condor ammo vest, along with an AR-15 and 500 rounds to be a true sign he is nuts. All mouth with no action. Like the ones that claim they will leave the country if trump gets elected back in 2016. They are still here. :)
Bring it on meathead.

Rob Reiner Rages over RBG Replacement Battle: 'This Is War. Dems Have Powerful Weapons. Now Is the Time to Use Them'

Ok Meathead, put on the uniform, pick up a weapon and let's see just what you know.

(Never happen in my wildest dreams. This useless idiot still wants to feel relevant and is just running off at the mouth. If he were to actually find himself in the soup, he'll be the first one bugging out over the hill with tears streaming down his face. And out of consideration of the folks here I won't mention what will be running down his legs.)

The meatheads, commie Jane and the rest of these spoiled leftist puke kids of "actors" need to stfu and go back to their make believe.

The Demon-crats would do what they are telling the RINO's not to do in a heartbeat....

... now we're seeing the RINO's falling back into their normal, beta stance

The usual suspects ... Dip Romney, Always Shaky Suzy Collins and the rest of the RINO repubs are peeing down their legs at the thought they have a chance to put in a firewall in case the demon-crats steal the 2020 election. Why if they do they might make the leftists mad at them.

The Demon-rats have broadcast their intentions for this country for several months about if they keep the house, take the senate and steal the presidency....

... "to nuke the filibuster, expand and pack the Supreme Court, create four new Democrat senators out of the new states of DC and Puerto Rico, wave the citizenship wand over 11 million illegal aliens, and make millions of Americans felons for having guns – and that’s just a start!"

It is an open war and those who've claimed to represent the conservatives have spent the last 3+ years spitting in our faces and treating us like the red headed step child because they are afraid of losing their seats at the taxpayer trough.

They have the opportunity to do the right thing, yet odds are they'll follow the rules dictated by the leftist rebels out to destroy the republic.

They seem unbelievably sure they have already won the election.
That alone tells a story pretty clearly.

And I get the idea that it will be a war of annihilation waged against them by a population they have repeatedly called for the imprisonment and death of.

Well, that’s what it gets down to, isn’t it?

I mean by nature, we’re conservative and don’t act without thinking and weighing the consequences...but the left has gotten into bed with the Chinese government Maoists...they’re in this for keeps.

The left has assembled an alliance of radical homos, perverts, communists, hippies and other God & country haters...and as you said, they’ve called for this.

I just don’t see any other alternative.

A simple beat down won’t do... they’ll just come back again from a different angle...

I wish it didn’t need to be, but :shr:
