This comes after Washington DC Mayor Bowser kicked out ALL of the National Guard troops that were sent there to restore peace after leftists rioting and vandalized the city last weekend.

Washington DC Mayor Bowser announced on Thursday she was examining every legal question about the Presidents’ authority to send troops, even National Guard from other states, to the District of Columbia.
Mayor Bowser said, “I have the authority and have not requested guard from any state.”
The DC Mayor then later evicted ALL NATIONAL GUARD from any Washington DC hotel.
On Sunday night leftists defaced the WWII Memorial and Korean War Memorial and torched a 200-year-old church.

Dollars to donuts those rifles, and their ammo, are likely *very* close by. This move is being publicly presented as "de-escalation", but behind the curtain I suspect this is as much about protecting the NatGuard guys as well; the last thing they need is an accidental discharge at any time before the idiots act up.

Guess it’s ok to burn it all down then. Really, what function does the Guard serve that the police can’t? Never mind that the police won’t, but apparently the Guard won’t either. It will be a free for all in D.C. this weekend. What a party! I guess the USA as us geezers have known it is kaput!

I can not believe they would send people to do riot control unarmed, Especially in light of the violent agitators probably paid to stir things up.
