Story Looking for a story

I am looking for a story that was posted here a few years ago.
It starts with a man who was married to a liberal woman, till he took their daughter hunting, then the wife left him and took their daughter to live with her parents.
He continued to secretly teach the daughter when they were together.
One day she called him asked him to come get her after she saw a gang kill her mom and grandparents.

Sorry, I know that is not much, but it is all I remember of it. I do not remember the name of it.

I remember that story but not the name or author.

I'm not a big help.
