POL Has the Coup Already Happened?

I didn't recall seeing this posted and could not locate it as an existing post …

I would differ, strongly. These people are not 'our' elite, they are not even American in their outlook or beliefs. They utterly and totally reject and deny that us deplorables have any right to anything. They do not accept us and we should not accept them.

Has the Coup Already Happened?
amgreatness.com/2019/11/10/has-the-coup-already-happened/
November 11, 2019

Democrats in Congress, Democratic operatives in the deep state, and co-conspirators in the corporate leftist propaganda conglomerate are attempting to drive Trump from office. This hyperpartisan process rightly has been called an attempted coup. It is also a brazen fraud. In the immortal words of Woody Allen’s Fielding Melish, “it is a travesty . . . a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham.”

But in a deeper sense, isn’t it clear that the coup has already happened? By trying to overthrow the results of a presidential election, the political elite is merely showing its hand; America has an elite that believes it now rules in America. We have an elite that does not accept the American idea of government—government by, for, and of the people.

According to our self-selected rulers, the election of Hillary Clinton was the whole point of 2016. They had designated Hillary to succeed Obama. She was to continue the project of fundamentally transforming America that was the focus of the Obama Administration. The voters were supposed to ratify the elite’s selection of Clinton.

But voters failed to do what they were supposed to do. From their point of view, if you voted for Trump, you let them down. By voting for Trump, you enraged the people who have designated themselves to rule you.

They are far beyond merely disappointed in you. You are a deplorable if you voted for Trump or if you have come around to supporting him. The people who are asserting that they rule America intend to teach you a lesson: “You have disappointed us, and we are going all out—with this fraudulent attempt to impeach Trump, with hyperpartisan ‘journalism,’ and by means of open borders, ballot harvesting, armies of dead people voting, whatever it takes—to make certain that this never happens again. Let this be a lesson to you about what voting means and what voting does not mean in the new, fundamentally transformed America.”

The truth about those who intend to rule us with or without our consent is that, instead of putting America first, they have been using the power of government to advance an anti-American agenda—open borders, hollowing out our economy to the benefit of the Chinese, drowning the American voter in a flood of Muslims and people from the Third World; the list goes on and on.

Trump, of course, represents a threat to the elite’s project of selling America down the river. He has to be stopped, and those Americans who have not gotten with the program for America the elite has chosen for us must be taught a hard lesson about who now rules in America.

If indeed a coup has happened then it occurred shortly after 9/11 2001 when the Patriot Act and other legislative atrocities were passed.

I would argue that the coup happened with the JFK assassination in Dallas.

Or, perhaps in December 1913, at the creation of the Federal Reserve central banking system.

Glenn Beck had an interesting new 2 hr. expose this evening talking about a long standing process to obtain power by causing chaos and then interfering and taking over the government. It has a nexus in the State Dept., the socialists and the State Dept. I will post a link and a recap on its own thread.

[The 2 hour special is currently behind a pay wall, but he generally releases them onto youtube later. The first part is history about Fabian socialism, President Wilson, FDR and globalist socialist government. The second part is about modern versions. The plan is called "Civil Society 2.0" and is a Hillary Clinton take over of Bush's "Public Diplomacy 2.0." Bush started the initiative to help foreign governments learn how to network, and use social media to combat Islamic and other extremism.

Clinton attached it to her 21st Century Statecraft Agenda to use the disruptive force of technological change in mass media and communications to cause chaos and then move in and seize power.

Obama morphed it into Civil Society 2.0 It uses the State Dept. to pass money to the socialist National Endowment for Democracy and Freedom House to grant NGOs tied to Soros' Open Society, and the "private" tech giants as surrogates. They train and fund "civil society groups" to nurture chaos, leaderless revolutions to destabilize the western world and topple regimes.

When the activist opposition to the regime gains strength, the State Dept actively supports them. Once they have regime change, they infiltrate the new government with their handpicked instigators. They also install a shadow justice system so they can protect their people and punish people they don't like.

In the Ukraine, documents show Soros and the State Dept. collaborated on a comprehensive strategy. They established the Anti-Corruption Bureau and pushed for judicial reform, getting rid of Prosecutors they didn't like. They targeted a re-write of the Constitution and radical reform through the National Reform Council to bring the Ukraine to Civil Society.

They had started this process in Egypt with the Arab Spring and the help of Facebook, but the military intervened. They started training rebels in Libya and Syria with a goal of regime change. They used it in Macedonia There is a classified document from Aug 2010 called the "Presidential Study Directive 11 - Political reform in the Middle East and Africa." Parts have been leaked and Beck wants the President to declassify it.

He talked about Chile, which had been doing good with an open and free market. Then the plan was set up in 2010 with training of open society groups preparing them to foment "spontaneous indigenous (local) popular uprisings." and identifying Then, civil society groups seemed to come out of nowhere protesting a 3 cent increase in public transportation. Now Javiera Lopez is organizing students in the democratic revolution to rewrite the constitution.

You can see the same pattern here.]

I look forward to your posting that , marsh. Glenn is talking about some of this now.

I still think that 9/11 cemented the deal but above posters rightly point out how the seeds were planted with the establishment of the Federal Reserve and the Kennedy assassination. I guess Reagan was the only speed bump along the way.

IMHO, the coup started long ago. Earlier than most realize. We're seeing the final push over the line at this moment in time.

Miss the Pig Trap reference? I have posted it several times and will offer just a link this time, which given the circumstances should be read again or for the first time. Reminders are good things.

Homework is a bitch, tests are a bigger bitch.

Fortunately, the pig metaphor can be extended. Pigs generally do not like being penned up. You might initially be able to trap and confine it, but once you have it you can never let your guard down.

Creation of the Federal Reserve was a huge step in "their" plan, but the evil PTB were already working in secret, before it was created. These evil family lines go back many generations.

roger that - BTW - the taxicab discussion is an important piece. I'd read it earlier clipped and saved it but had forgotten not only its incredible logic but the importance and ever increasing relevance as we move forward.

IMHO this is the most salient off its many important points:

“These people are playing with matches… I don’t think they understand the scope and scale of the wildfire they are flirting with. They are ****ing around with a civil war that could last a decade and cause millions of deaths… and the sad truth is that 95% of the problems we have in this country could be solved tomorrow, by noon… simply by dragging 100 people out in the street and shooting them in the ****ing head.”

so when does it start?

some of us even believe they go back to genesis 6 and the flood . . .

The Fed is the THIRD national bank of the US, folks. It has held on longer than its predecessors, however.

And say thank you to A. Hamilton... https://www.federalreservehistory.org/people/alexander_hamilton

Quite correct, Doz.

You can not only thank Federalist Alexander Hamilton for his efforts in establishing the First National Bank of the U.S., but ALSO THANK President Andrew Jackson for ridding the U.S. of the Second National Bank of the U.S. during his term as President.

Recall that Trump chose to display a picture of President Andrew Jackson, placing it upon the wall behind his desk in the oval office - a clear message is being sent to those that know their history, when seeing video/stills of Trump sitting at his desk.

Also quite correct. The Founding Fathers were WELL AWARE of the machinations of the European central banking cartels, of their day, and the problems caused by those banking entities - the Rothschild name was already a well-know and understood problem in the world of economics and power of that era.

Nothing new under the sun. The Founding Fathers incorporated preventative Constitutional verbiage into our founding documents - this specific language has been willfully ignored, resulting in the Third National Bank, aka the Federal Reserve.

Yup.

Always made sense to me, too - remove the relatively few instigators/progenitors early, up front, and save the patient much questionable healing and recovery - the sooner, the better.

While today, removing a key 100 instigators may bring about some level of calm, that number realistically is going to be much higher - but, still a small handful when compared to total western population numbers.

From what Glenn Beck is saying Soros isn't necessarily using his own money for the overseas effort but is being funded by our own State Department. And now I have to wonder too about what got funded under George W Bush's "compassionate conservativism " initiative.

Records: Soros Fund Execs Funded Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, John McCain, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham in 2016

byMATTHEW BOYLE6 Feb 2017Washington, D.C.

Employees of a hedge fund founded by the king of the Institutional Left, billionaire and Democratic Party mega-donor George Soros, donated tens of thousands of dollars to top Republicans who fought against President Donald Trump in 2016, donation records compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics show.

Soros Fund Management, a former hedge fund that serves now as an investment management firm, was founded by progressive billionaire George Soros in 1969. It has risen to become one of the most profitable hedge funds in the industry. Employees of the firm are heavily involved in backing political candidates giving millions upon millions to groups that were supporting failed 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton for the presidency.

But more importantly, perhaps, than the unsurprising giant lump sums of cash funneled into Democratic Party and Clinton coffers is the revelation thanks to the Center for Responsive Politics that employees of the Soros firm—now run by his son Robert Soros—pumped tens of thousands of dollars into the campaigns of top anti-Trump Republicans over the course of 2016.

In total, executives with the Soros-founded company pushed $36,800 into the coffers of these GOP candidates just this past cycle. That does not include Super PACs or campaign committees, which saw tens of thousands of dollars more. While these numbers for Republicans pale in comparison to the millions upon millions poured into Democratic groups, causes, and candidates, it is significant that Soros executives are making a play inside the GOP. Perhaps even more significant is the type of Republican they aim to prop up: pro-amnesty, pro-open borders on trade, and generally speaking anti-Trump. A pattern emerges when looking at the policies of the Republicans that these Soros Fund Management executives support financially.

The biggest recipient of Soros-connected cash in the GOP was none other than House Speaker Paul Ryan, who repeatedly attempted to undermine Trump over the course of the election. According to the records available online, the Soros firm’s workers gave $10,800 to Ryan. Included in that are two separate May 2, 2016, donations from David Rogers, a then-employee of Soros Fund Management who lives in New York City. Rogers left the Soros Fund Management firm right around that time.

Bloomberg reported in late April 2016, just before these two separate donations to Ryan;

David Rogers and Joshua Donfeld, two portfolio managers at billionaire George Soros’s family office, are leaving the firm over disagreements with its new chief investment officer about the direction of global markets, according to people with knowledge of the matter. Rogers, a protege of Soros’s former chief investment strategist Stan Druckenmiller, managed a portfolio of about $3 billion at the $28 billion Soros Fund Management, said the people, who asked not to be named because the matter is private. Rogers, 38, made his name as a commodities trader, while Donfeld, 40, focuses on stock investing, said the people, adding that both men are expected to leave the family office next month.

Another two separate donations to Ryan came from Donfeld, both on May 2, 2016 and totaling $2,700 each. In total, that adds up to $10,800—between both Rogers and Donfeld, who were working for Soros Fund Management at the time—that they gave to Paul Ryan.

Ryan’s chief spokesman, Brendan Buck, has not responded to a Breitbart News’s inquiry about the donations from the Soros firm’s employees. But Ryan’s support for open borders when it comes to immigration and trade, and his backing of so-called “criminal justice reform” legislation, is in line with Soros’ worldview—and he regularly bashed Trump over the course of the 2016 election.

But he was hardly the only anti-Trump Republican who received cash from Soros Fund Management employees over the course of 2016. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a failed presidential candidate, received $3,500 from the firm’s employees, according to the Center for Responsive Politics data. That includes a $1,500 donation from Soros Fund Management executive Scott Bessent. Bessent has since left the firm to work at a different hedge fund, but “oversaw George Soros’s $30 billion fortune for the last four years” according to an early January 2016 article in Bloomberg. The other two donations to Graham from the firm’s employees—both worth $1,000, with one on March 17, 2015, and the other on July 29, 2015—came from Alexander Cohen, an executive with Soros Fund Management.

Graham spokesman Kevin Bishop argues that since Soros himself didn’t give Graham money that this is not controversial.

“George Soros has never given a penny to Lindsey Graham,” Bishop said in an email. “George Soros Fund Management has never given a penny to Lindsey Graham. These are donations from individuals who are employed by Soros Fund Management.”

Bishop compared this to an employee for Amway or for the Trump Organization making a donation to Sen. Bernie Sanders’ campaign in 2016, something that would mean that employee–not Amway owners like the DeVos family or President Trump or his family–is the one making the donation. But Bishop does not deny that Graham did take a donation from Soros Fund Management employees.

Fellow failed presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) raked in $2,700, while other failed GOP presidential candidates Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush also received $2,700 apiece from employees of the Soros firm.

Rubio’s $2,700 donation came from the aforementioned Los Angeles-based Donfeld on Jan. 22, 2016, a few months before, as Bloomberg reported, he and Rogers left the firm. Kasich’s $2,700 donation came from Bessent on Oct. 24, 2015. Bush’s $2,700 donation came on July 24, 2015, from David Murphy of Soros Fund Management. Murphy, according to his LinkedIN page, is a current “portfolio manager” at the firm.

Kasich’s spokesman Chris Schrimpf did not respond to a request for comment, nor did Bush’s spokeswoman Kristy Campbell.

A spokesman for Rubio, Matt Wolking, vociferously defended the senator, calling this story in Breitbart News—without having read it because it wasn’t written until long after he responded to inquiries about this matter—a “fake” story since Rubio didn’t get donations directly from George Soros himself and since hedge funds as companies cannot make donations to federal candidates. Breitbart News never alleged that Rubio did get donations directly from George Soros himself, but was inquiring with Rubio’s staff if the senator had a comment on why he did take donations from an executive at George Soros’s hedge fund. That fact, that Rubio did take cash from a Soros Fund Management executive—and that that fund was founded by George Soros—is not something Wolking, on Rubio’s behalf, challenges. So what his team is doing is creating a straw man argument to falsely claim this story is “fake.”

“This story is a fake,” Wolking told Breitbart News. “Senator Rubio has never received any contribution from George Soros. And he has never received any contribution from the Soros company because, among other things, companies can’t donate to federal candidates.”

But more importantly, a Rubio spokesman did admit that the FEC filing is correct—that Rubio took a $2,700 donation from Donfeld. The Rubio spokesman argues that Donfeld donated “almost exclusively” to GOP candidates over the years—which is mostly true, as Donfeld has given to people like Ryan, Rubio, Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO), Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), and 2012 GOP Ohio Senate nominee Josh Mandel, among others. But Donfeld, whom the Rubio spokesman points out and as Breitbart News mentioned earlier in this piece, left the Soros firm after making this donation to Rubio, has donated to Democrats like Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA), Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), and a failed Democratic congressional candidate in Arizona’s 9th congressional district in 2012, Andrei Cherny.

Anti-Trump Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), a failed one-time GOP presidential nominee from 2008, got $2,500 from an executive at the Soros firm, while Boehner—who resigned amid a coup from conservatives—raked in $2,600 from an executive at the Soros firm.

McCain’s $2,500 this cycle came from Donfeld of Soros Fund Management on Sept. 23, 2015. In previous cycles, McCain has taken cash directly from George Soros himself—a $1,000 donation on June 2, 1999—and from others with the firm, including a $1,000 donation from Bessent on March 13, 2000, a $2,300 donation from Soros Fund Management’s Michael Au on Dec. 27, 2007, a $1,000 donation from Duncan Hennes of Soros Fund Management on March 13, 2000, and a $2,300 donation from Soros Fund Management’s Joshua Berkowitz on Jan. 15, 2008. McCain’s spokeswoman, Julie Tarallo, has not responded to multiple requests for comment from Breitbart News.

Boehner’s $2,600 donation this cycle came from Bessent of Soros Fund Management on Feb. 12, 2015. The media relations department at Reynolds American, the tobacco company of which Boehner joined the board after resigning from Congress in 2015, has not responded to a request for comment on his behalf.

Now former Rep. Joe Heck (R-NV), the 2016 Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Nevada who lost his election after he withdrew his endorsement of Trump in the general election, also received $2,500 from an executive at Soros Fund Management, while Rep. Carlos Curbelo (R-FL)—a “Never Trump” congressman who voted for a third-party candidate because he refused to support the GOP nominee for president—received $1,000 from an executive at the Soros family firm.

Heck’s $2,500 donation on Sept. 29, 2016, came from Soros Fund Management’s Sender Cohen. According to the Israel on Campus Coalition, another organization for which Sender Cohen serves as director, he is a “Portfolio Manager, the Director of Research and member of the Management Committee at Soros Fund Management.” Heck’s spokesman from the campaign has not responded to a request for comment on Monday.

Curbelo’s $1,000 donation came on June 5, 2015, from Paul Sohn, a former executive with Soros Fund Management. Sohn had already left the firm earlier in the year, as it was reported on CNBC in January 2015 that Sohn had left Soros Fund Management after his involvement in a controversial investment. That is months before he reported on this June 2015 Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing for this Curbelo donation that his employer was Soros Fund Management. A Curbelo spokeswoman has not responded to a request for comment.

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA), the House GOP conference chairwoman, got $1,000 from an official with Soros Fund Management. She is responsible for unleashing the independent and wildly unsuccessful general election candidate Evan McMullin—whom Trump has called “McMuffin” in jest after his failure—upon the world. McMullin, who turned out to fail fantastically on election day despite media fanfare about his candidacy, was previously a McMorris Rodgers staffer as chief policy director for nearly two years in the House GOP conference before his whimsical bid at the presidency that went nowhere and had essentially zero impact on the race. Rodgers’ $1,000 donation this cycle came from Alexander Cohen of Soros Fund Management on March 13, 2015. A spokesman for McMorris Rodgers has not responded to a request for comment on this matter.

The only few Republicans who received Soros Fund Management cash but did support Trump were Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Rep. Dan Donovan (R-NY), and Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA). Royce received $2,500 from the firm, Johnson and Grassley each received $1,000, and Donovan received $300. Johnson’s $1,000 donation came on April 15, 2016, from Alexander Cohen of Soros Fund Management, as did Grassley’s, which came on Oct. 13, 2015. Donovan’s $300 donation came from Christopher Rich of Soros Fund Management on April 20, 2015.

Royce’s $2,500 donation came from Sender Cohen of Soros Fund Management on March 31, 2016. Spokespersons for Johnson, Grassley, Donovan and Royce have not responded to Breitbart News’s requests for comment.

Soros: ‘I Will Take Down President Trump'

February 09, 2017

images

A battle cry has been issued against our new president by arguably the world’s most evil villain: billionaire financier George Soros. At a recent meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Soros told a crowd of wealthy politicians and corporate heads that he plans to “take down President Trump” in order to usher in a “financial armageddon” that fits his plans for a New World Order.

One of the big backers of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, Soros has been on a mission to destroy Trump since long before he was elected president. But after losing nearly $1 billion in the stock market, which made a big rally after Trump’s victory, Soros is more determined than ever to stop the agenda of President Trump, which in large part involves rolling back globalism and bringing jobs back to the United States.

Reports indicate that Soros instructed many of the top dogs of various large, multinational corporations who attended the meeting to immediately stop doing business in the U.S. until President Trump’s agenda is halted. If these companies continue to do business in the U.S., Soros warned, they will most certainly face serious consequences, economic and otherwise.

“I’d keep as far away from it as I can,” Soros stated in cryptic fashion to his audience of listeners. (RELATED: Follow the happenings of Donald Trump’s presidency at Trump.news)
Soros a ‘wounded beast’ that is ‘hell bent on revenge,’ say Wall Street analysts

In Soros’ view, all of the promises President Trump is making, from his pledges to cut taxes and reduce regulations to bringing outsourced jobs back to the states, are not going to happen. Even if they appear to at first, he claims, it will not be long before they all fail. Within 24 hours of Trump taking office, Soros stated, “reality will prevail.”

Soros has hardly been shy in making his views known about President Trump. The Jewish Nazi collaborator is on the record as having called the president a dictator, for instance, adding that the president “won’t be able to get away with” some of the things he is doing to upset the plans of the globalist cabal.

Soros’ fury has been so pronounced over the past several months that Wall Street analysts actually likened him to a “wounded beast” that is “hell bent on revenge,” presumably a reference to the biblical prophecies of the Book of Revelation. In the meantime, many observers, including many conservative Republicans, are wondering what other nefarious tricks Soros might have hiding up his sleeve.

One idea is the financial armageddon and the “unleashing of hell” that some media sources claim Soros is hatching as a Plan B. Again making reference to biblical prophecy, the plan, some say, is for Soros to crash the world financial markets in order to create chaos. This act would put the U.S. on the brink of financial ruin, and in the midst of that, the phoenix will rise and usher in a New World Order.

Whether or not this actually happens remains to be seen, and only time will tell. But it is certain that the globalists do not plan to give up without a fight. And the fight they have planned could result in some major tumult for our country and for much of the rest of the world, which is directly affected by market and financial volatility here in the states.

“The way Soros broke the Bank of England and ruined the Malaysian economy, these will one day just be seen as warm ups for his full scale tilt at global financial armageddon,” a Wall Street analyst is quoted as saying.

Billionaire Soros teams up with Democrat attorneys generals to bury Trump Administration in legal challenges

by Fred Lucas | Updated 06 Feb 2017 at 9:49 AM

George-Soros-smiling.jpg

More than a dozen lawsuits and counting have been filed against President Donald Trump’s executive order that temporarily blocks visas from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen. Looking beyond the handful of emotional personal stories that are gaining the media’s sympathy, there is a more predictable political power dynamic at play. The lawsuits largely stem from organizations bankrolled by billionaire leftist George Soros and Democratic state attorneys general.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who has carried out a political vendetta against Trump, led 15 other state attorneys general in a joint statement condemning what they called an “unconstitutional, un-American and unlawful executive order.” The Democratic AGs also said, “Religious liberty has been, and always will be, a bedrock principle of our country and no president can change that truth,” a curious statement from the party that targeted the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Last August, George Soros’ son, Alex Soros, posted a picture of himself with Schneiderman on Instagram, and wrote,
“Great to meet with #newyork attorney
general @ericschneiderman who recognized that @realdonaldtrump was a fraud way before many and has courageously taken him on!”

Schneiderman, as well as Democratic attorneys general in Virginia and Massachusetts, intervened in existing lawsuits. The lawsuit brought by Washington State Attorney General Robert Ferguson has achieved the most success, bringing the case that blocked the order nationwide.

The lawsuit convinced a federal judge of the state’s standing on the claim the order is “separating Washington families, harming thousands of Washington residents, damaging Washington’s economy, hurting Washington-based companies and undermining Washington’s sovereign interest in remaining a welcoming place for immigrants and refugees.”

Democrats are even raising money off the lawsuits. In a Facebook post, the Democratic Attorneys General Association said, "Stand with Attorney General Bob Ferguson and all Democratic State Attorneys General fighting for what's right!" It added, "Chip in to support Democratic AGs fighting for progressive rights and freedoms."

Outside of the politicians, Soros' Open Society Foundations, which advocates for open borders, is financing several advocacy groups that initiated litigation against the order.

Leading the way in these lawsuits in several states is the American Civil Liberties Union, which has gotten at least $35.5 million from the Open Society Foundations, according to the Capital Research Center, a Washington think tank that investigates nonprofits.

Soros also gave $4.6 million to the National Immigration Law Center, which has been involved in litigation, according to the CRC; and $621,000 to the Urban Justice Center, which has an appendage known as the International Refugee Assistance Project that has jumped into the lawsuits, according to the CRC.

"It shouldn't surprise anyone that pressure groups funded by George Soros are litigating to keep U.S. ports-of-entry wide open to terrorists and other people who hate America," Matthew Vadum, senior vice president of the CRC, told LifeZette. "Soros has said he wants to bring America down. Flooding the country with Muslim aliens who won't assimilate is one way to do that."

In a Seattle suit, separate from the Washington State case, ABC News reported the American Immigration Council, the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, and the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild filed a class action complaint on behalf of lawful permanent residents that want their immediate family members that are citizens of the seven countries be able to enter the United States.

Soros' Open Society Foundations gave $425,000 to the American Immigration Council from 2011 through 2013, according to the CRC, which shows Soros' group also gave at least $50,000 to the National Lawyers Guild.

The fact that a lawsuit is politically motivated doesn't mean it lacks legal merits. Republican attorneys general and conservative groups challenged the Obama administration's executive actions. But as the media plays up emotional stories, no one should try to divorce politics from these legal maneuvers.

Soros, Pelosi Headline Hush-Hush 'Resistance' Conference In California

November 18, 2017

Liberal billionaire George Soros and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi were listed as the main attractions Friday at a California gathering of the anti-Trump elite.

The four-day event in Carlsbad, titled “Beyond #Resistance: Reclaiming our Progressive Future,” asked that guests refrain from contacting the media or posting to social media, the agenda shows.

Other speakers appearing in person or via video were expected to include U.S. Sens. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., and Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn.; U.S. Rep. Ben Ray Lujan, D-Minn.; and Democrats Gov. Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania and governor-elect Ralph Northam of Virginia.

Special guest speakers were listed as CNN contributor Van Jones and Center for American Progress CEO Neera Tanden.

The conference, which began Wednesday and runs through Saturday at La Costa Resort, was organized by the Democracy Alliance, a network of liberal donors, the Washington Free Beacon reported.

The purpose “is to generate support for Alliance Partner Organizations and engage in diverging perspectives connected to shaping political and policy transformation in America,” the report said.

When not plotting their next political moves, it's assumed the group will have access to the resorts 17 tennis courts and championship golf course, as well as pools and hot tubs.

Soros made headlines in October when he transferred $18 billion -- or "the bulk of his wealth" -- into his activist charity arm, making the philanthropic organization second only to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in U.S. assets.
