I have several blends of soothing mineral bath salts that I use--I've created the recipes--but this one I'm posting is a heavy-duty soother for someone under stress.

Hot mineral springs have been used for centuries to cure what ails you and we don't always have them nearby, so we can create our own.

I designed the graphic and created the recipe so you are free to make up some batches with various scented essential oils, and print off the recipe to attach to the jarred gift.

For fragrances I prefer Rose Geranium, Lavender, Orange, Lemon, or Vetiver. Vetiver is woodsy and masculine and combined with a wee bit of orange essential, it is wonderful for the men.

I think I'll have to try this this weekend. Thanks for sharing, and with the lovely presentation as well!

Thanks for this! I always wondered how scented salts were made. The ones in the store are so expensive for a little container. I will go out and get the stuff this weekend.

Yeah, those bath salts are damn expensive! I'm gonna post another bath salts recipe in a minute that everyone I know just loves.

Please print it off as it is since that's why I made it look kinda pretty. You can tie it to the jar if you give the bath salts as a gift.

I made up some lavendar and some orange bath salts today. Wow, that stuff is powerful, it won't take much in the bath. Thanks again for posting the recipe.

No, it doesn't take much! Orange (or any citrus) is great for a morning bath since it's stimulating and Lavender is perfect for night baths since it's calming.

Why spend $30.00 for something you can make yourself (and make it better) for less than $6.00?
