State department issues travel warning because of Gville church's protest
The U.S. State Department of has issued a worldwide caution and a travel warning because of the Gainesville pastor's planned burning of the Quran. Meanwhile, as the White House considers calling Dove Church Pastor Terry Jones, more angry protests erupt in Afghanistan.

"This is obviously a serious concern to us. We believe it is something that will endanger our forces,'' said Pentagon spokesman Geoff Morrell, at a press conference today.

Hypocrisy Alert: Muslim group ISNA condemning Florida Koran burning takes money from Saudi government who incinerates Bibles as a matter of policy

Yesterday a group of liberal religious leaders gathered in Washington DC for a press conference organized by the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) to condemn the planned burning of a Koran on the 9/11 anniversary Saturday by a Florida church.

Speaking for ISNA was its president Ingrid Mattson, who angrily condemned the church in question, saying that this act threatens Muslims like never before:

"Having spoken to many families across the country over the last few weeks, I have heard many Muslim Americans say they have never felt this anxious or this insecure in America since directly after September 11," Ingrid Mattson, head of the Islamic Society of North America, told a press conference.

Apart from the fact that America Muslims are a bunch of pussies if they are scared by a bunch of cranks burning a book, Mattson and ISNA are the last to be lecturing us on this score.

In fact, ISNA has not only taken millions of dollars from the Islamic Development Bank, funded and controlled by the Saudi regime, but it has established a partnership with the Saudi regime's IBD for educational scholarships.

As a matter of policy, the Saudi regime shreds Bibles and other non-Islamic religious materials and items confiscated from those entering the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Institute has confirmed this policy:

"As a matter of official policy, the government either incinerates or dumps Bibles, crosses and other Christian paraphernalia," the Saudi Institute said in an article posted on its website.

"Although considered as holy in Islam and mentioned in the Koran dozens of times, the Bible is banned in Saudi Arabia, and is confiscated and destroyed by government officials," it said.

So when Ingrid Mattson starts lecturing us about book burnings, she should remove the log from her eye before trying to remove the mote in ours. Oh, wait, that's a Christian virtue, not a Muslim one. Never mind.

Funny, now the white house wants to call the pastor and beg him to not burn Korans, yet where was the phone call from the White house to the Iman of the ground zero mosque.

Finally the government has been shown the way to determine which muzzies are terrorists and which are peace loving.

The State Department issued a worldwide warning Thursday to all U.S. citizens traveling and living abroad in an attempt to guard against possible attacks over a Florida pastor’s plan to burn copies of the Quran on Saturday's anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Protests have already been held in Afghanistan and Indonesia, which have included the burning of American flags and an effigy of the pastor, Terry Jones.

"The potential for further protests and demonstrations, some of which may turn violent, remains high," said the State Department’s travel warning. "We urge you to pay attention to local reaction to the situation, and to avoid areas where demonstrations may take place."

The warning said that U.S. government facilities abroad remained at a "heightened state of alert" and warned they might temporarily close or suspend their services “to assess their security posture.”

Well, this is all well and good but one should remember that when the Pope quoted some obscure 14th century theologian in Islam, a Moslem went apesh*t in Africa and murdered a RC nun.

And one poster here stated that the Pope should have known better.

So what do you think will happen if this jerk does burn the Koran in front of Channel 6? Just possible that some where some hapless American tourist might get chopped down if he is not careful.

Looks to me the State Dept is on top of the job.

However, the Diccolo Trokeavelli in me would not be adverse to about a dozen or so Yankees across the world slaughtered in the streets. That would wake up the Dreaming Sheep in this country as to what Jihad really is now that they have forgotten 9/11.

Of course, a significant portion of this forum would argue that it was a 'false flag' operation and thus no attention need be paid.

I feel any american who wants to "visit" a Muslim country, they should get what they deserve. When you lay with dogs, you will get fleas.

Where you been? We had US citizens shot down right and left right here in the good old USA, some on recent months and then there is France and England. This could just add a bunch more.

An NPR *type* friend of mine is actually traveling into Istanbul with his 80 year old father, all they speak is English. Their trip will be Mid- Oct/Early Nov.

I just google'd the demographics and it is like 99% Muslim - 90% of those Sunni.

I'll have one *beer conversation* with him about this and we'll see if it alters his plans.
