U.S. names Asian carp czar

The White House has tapped a former leader of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana Wildlife Federation as the Asian carp czar to oversee the federal response to keeping the invasive species out of the Great Lakes.

On a conference call today with Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin and other congressional leaders, President Obama's Council on Environmental Quality announced the selection of John Goss to lead the near $80 million, multi-pronged federal attack against Asian carp.
"This is a serious challenge, a serious threat," Durbin said. "When it comes to the Asian carp threat, we are not in denial. We are not in a go-slow mode. We are in a full attack, full-speed ahead mode. We want to stop this carp from advancing." (snip)

Sooner or later we'll have a whole friggin' politbureau of these rulers.

The Asian Carp has literally taken over the Mississippi River!! They are a horrible nuisance. They just high out of the water. My husband almost got hit in the head with a huge 30 inch long carp this past weekend while cruising along in a john boat this weekend. If it were to hit a person in the head while they were going fast enough it could kill them! These fish are bad news.

We have those darn things here in Western North Carolina. They are big orange fish and are very invasive.

No, Carp are not edible!! They are just an ugly fish. People here are asked to kill every one of the Asian carp that they catch unstead of releasing.

but fishy's life will change after protesters' bodies sink to the bottom
because fierce feeding frenzies will start as ideologies are torn apart.

fertilizer, dog and cat food-hey. maybe even an oil source. its a resource. depopulate by overuse. works for other critters.

Just think that 500,000. people may go out of their way to catch them for $2 each, Thats a bigger and more effective work force than anything Obama & his cronies would come up with.
