Tornadoes cause havoc as freak weather hits central Poland
Central Poland has been hit by freak weather conditions over the last day or so with towns and regions being hit by tornadoes.
On Friday central Poland became the scene of a dramatic weather change. In central Poland, Wola Rebowska, near the town of Garwolin, was the site of one tornado touching down and causing extensive damage. One house was completely destroyed while many others were severely damaged. Although to tornado ripped roofs off dozens of buildings, many residential, no-one is reported to have died in the freak weather storm. It's reported that 10 fire-fighters were in attendance at the scene of the destruction. Rail services were also disrupted on the Lublin-Warsaw line as the tornado brought down power lines above. It remains unclear when normal service will return to the cities. A number of houses were also damaged in the Lodz and Lublin regions were also damaged as tornadoes landed near the rural towns of Ryki and Rawa Mazowiecka.
