I'd like to run with it. It could potentially tie-in to "The Bicycle Militia", although that wasn't the original idea. I stopped at the point I did knowing that I can continue, but not sure where to go with it. I'm still learning and mostly writing from emotion and anger, but without any real foundation for the mechanics of writing fiction. I'd love to take a couple of classes at the local comm college that cover writing, but that is on the same unfunded list as attending the "sniper" trianing at Badlands tactical in SW OK, a NASCAR driving school, and playing a gig with one of my favorite rock bands. At 44, I may as well call it my "Bucket List"....

You don't need to attend a class.

Just read some of the best writers of fiction out there.

Asimov
Ellison
Aspin
WEB Griffin
Clancy
Wells
Twain

You have the gift of prose sculpting!

Taking a class will only slow you down, we need chapters and we need them now ;)

the 'bowman brigade' is made up of all of us, doing just what your protagonist did.

good story. watch your narrative. you slipped into first person for a second there before going back to third person.

i'd like to see more.

Write it out and let's see where it goes! So far it's a well written start, and pretty thought out sounding. I'm really curious to see where your imagination and writing skills take things.

Writing classes may be of some help to shorten the learning curve, but from what I can see, speaking strictly of your writing abilities/potential, you've got a lot of talent in you.

I've tried to sit down and write out some ideas, thoughts, and scenarios/scenes into some sort of a semi-connected story and it's incredibly difficult. Please believe me when I tell you that your efforts as well as ALL the authors efforts and stories are immensely appreciated.

If no other plea works to get thru.. PLEASE don't leave us hanging!!! :D

I'm going back and revising a bit. I realized the idea of the head of DHS should travel to OKC to speak at a memorial. Why would the memorial be held in DC?:shr:

Really Good

Story line. Keeps you on edge and pulls you in as part of the story.

Hopefully, after all this time it is not another dead story like so many good
ones that get started and fizzle out never to see the light of day again...hint, hint.

Thank you, please continue the good work

Thx for the encouragement... I recently started a new job and also have gotten back into playing guitar and writing lyrics. pretty lame excuse for sure.
I need to take that "focus factor" stuff!
