I don't know how many times I noted that my best employees had no life outside of work, but it was a very large number. It applied equally to men and women, but men were much more likely not to have a life outside of work.

Any my argument was always the other side of that coin. :)
I don't mind helping extra at work, BUT, I generally require notice. People are used to hearing me say "no, because I have a life outside of the office and already have plans."

I am also tired of hearing people make fun of other people's physical attributes. The radio talk show hosts are famous with me for doing that. Part of the reason I don't listen to them any more. I hear it other places too. It truly is ugly and juvenile.

I'm glad I didn't have a cup of coffee when I read that one. The visualization and mental picture was just to much. Speaking of Traficant I wonder when he's getting out of the slammer?? I really liked that guy. He sure called a spade a spade even if he needed to spend some money on a decent toupe'.

Really, though...this looks like another one of those "Janet Reno"-type appointments. You know she's not going to have any trouble with "nanny tax" issues.

Why it is, exactly, she isn't going to have that problem I will leave to the speculation of others. But Napolitano's appointment appears to be a very safe one indeed, from the "nanny tax" standpoint. :D

I know many people - male and female - that are not "model pretty", yet they are some of the most beautiful people that I know. Just because this woman is "butch", or not married does NOT mean she doesn't have a family. Maybe she has a partner - male or female. Maybe someone LOOKED at what she has to offer as a HUMAN BEING and found it to their liking. I was always taught that we are ALL made in God's image.

I also find it quite amusing that the same people that make ugly comments about a woman's attractiveness are balding, have beer-bellies, look like slobs, etc. If you judge a book on it's cover, and find it wanting, you may just miss the adventure of a lifetime.

Boy...isn't that the truth! I ask all of you that are 50 and over to take a GOOD look in the mirror. Don't forget the side view below the neck! And those of you who may be younger, take a good look at your mother and father. This woman is no uglier than any other woman her age. If she had a "makeover" you would bitch about the money she spent! I find there is more of this petty criticism lately and I think it really is people feeling very insecure about THEMSELVES due to the economic mess we are in. Lighten up!
